(Kiryu’s POV)

"Where were you, Kiryu?" Shoko asked as I hugged her from behind, "Yuji and Choso got in a fight with Naoya and Yuta."

"Oh?" I said, "Is that so? What happened? Wait, Yuta is back?"

I leaned in closer and pressed myself against her, feeling the warmth of her body.

"I tried calling, Yuji didn’t pick up." She said, "Yuta must’ve beaten them...."

"I see..." I said kissing her behind her ear, "It should be fine. Yuta is on our side and doesn’t need to worry about any binding vow he made with the Higher Ups."

"What did you do?" She asked

"Forget that." I said, "Let’s focus on today, for now. Here."

I pulled out a wrapped box and showed it to her.

She grabbed it, "What’s this?"

"Happy birthday, my beautiful Ieiri." I said with a smile

"Oh, I forgot about that...." She said softly as she held the box, "What is it?"

"Open it...." I said as I held her waist

She unwrapped the box and opened it, revealing a diamond necklace.

"You know how I feel about expensive things like these...." Shoko said

I pressed her tighter against , "I think one of my beauties deserves a diamond necklace once in a while." I said as I kissed her on the shoulder

"i i loves jewelry like these...." She said, "And what if Utahi sees this, she might get envious."

"I gave my Iori sothing similar to this already." I said, "Just accept this..."

"Thank you, Kiryu." She said as she looked at with a slight smile, "It’s just...."

"I know..." I said caressing her cheek, "I know, my dear. Soon, all this will over and we will be together, finally. Until then, we have to postpone our marriage..."

"That’s for the best." She said as I ran my hand down to her stomach and rubbed it, "I’m glad you’re with ....Satoru...he’s..."

"I’ll unseal him and have his stupid ass fix his mistakes." I said, "And I’ll fix mine, Shoko, I promise. Kenjaku, that Thing, I’ll kill him and destroy Geto’s body. As much as I disliked him, the way he turned out, I think he deserves to rest."

I turned her around as she held the box with the necklace in it, she was giving a sad frown.

"I don’t want you to get hurt." She said

I chuckled, "I think we both know that I’ll get hurt...." I said tucking her hair behind her ear, "It’s inevitable...I’ll live."

"It’s surreal, knowing you, I find it hard to believe you’ll join a fight....." She said, "It’s unheard of...you don’t fight that often....."

"I’m not rusty...." I said as I held her by her waist, "Say, do you want to have sex?"

"No, not now, Kiryu..." She said looking away

I leaned in and kisser her on the cheek, "Alright then." I told her, "I’m not forcing you or anything. I wanted to give you nice for your birthday, celebrate it....just us 5...."

"It won’t be appropriate." She said, "I’m sorry."

"I understand." I said with a smile, "Just know, as soon as I leave....I ain’t coming back till Satoru is unsealed. I’m going to do everything possible, I promise."

"Alright.." She said with a smile, "I know you will."

"Be careful..."

"You could’ve ntioned that the Higher-Ups were dead, Kiryu-san..." Yuta said with a frown, "I had to put up that show and scared Itadori...."

Yuji sat next to Yuta as I approached them, he was rubbing his head as he also frowned.

"Yuta, my boy, been a while." I said with a smile, "How ya been?"

"Well, I had to rush back when I heard what happened." He said while crossing his arms, "A real crisis, huh?"

"Tell about it." I said as I stood in front of him

We were in the courtyard of my estate, Yuta had fought and "Killed" Yuji, in order to abide by his binding vow. His true motive was to protect the kid, but I didn’t know the Higher ups had sent Yuta as his executioner. I sent Yuji and Choso, the death womb painting, to the outside to lure Naoya and the Zenin out so Maki could infiltrate the manor and give the terms of the exchange.

Naobito is alive but unconscious. I don’t intend to kill the old bastard but this is the way I do things when I’m left with no choice. I want the Zenin to back the fuck off Yuji, gumi, and Maki. I had sent a warning to the Kamo clan as well, but received no response. I want to know what that’s about.

Maybe they were compromised.

"Alright, what’s the status?" I said as Maki approached us as well

"Kiryu-san..." She said, "I can still go to the Zenin Manor and give them your ssage."

"That’s too risky, I wanted Naoya and the Hei to co after Yuji..." I said, "Getting them out while you go and give your father the ssage."

"You’re saying I can’t handle myself?" She asked a scowl

"I’m sure he didn’t an that, Maki-chan..." Yuta said with a nervous smile

I narrowed my eyes, "Listen, young-girl, I don’t know how Satoru does things, but with , you’ll listen to everything I have to say." I said, "I don’t care if you can handle yourself or not, you’ll still do what I tell you to do in order for you to live."

"Take it easy, Kiryu." I heard Utahi say behind , "They’re not used to you."

"So what’s the plan?" gumi asked, "Why’re we here?"

"The Culling Gas, what they called it....it started, Kiryu-san." Yuta said

I wonder what Kenjaku was planning; doing this stupid ga.

I sighed, "Alright, I guess we can play....." I said as I looked back at Maki, "You can go to the Manor, but be careful. If I find out you got hurt or worse, I’m gonna be fucking pissed."

She nodded, "You can count on ." She said

I then looked at Yuji and gumi, "You two, find Kinji." I said, "Get him on our side."

"Hm..." gumi said, "What if.....what if he doesn’t want to?"

"He better fucking want to, I don’t wanna hear any excuses, gumi." I said with a scowl, "Tell him I’ll beat his ass if he doesn’t!"

"Right...." gumi said while looking away

I looked over at Choso, "You, I’m not sure what role you wanna play." I said, "You can stay here or go with Yuki in order to protect Tengen."

He narrowed his eyes, "I’ll go with Yuji."

I lifted my hand and shook my head, "No, he’ll be with gumi." I said, "If Kinji sees a death womb painting with him and confuses you for a curse, he’ll be hostile."

"Why is Yuki defending Tengen?" Uta asked

"The old bat gave us information about Kenjaku...I didn’t need it though...." I said, "Apparently, he intends to take Tengen, sothing about the incident that happened years ago, I don’t know. As for the Prison Realm, I guess that information I did need."

"What about it?" gumi asked

I shook my head and pointed at Yuji, "Not saying it in front of Sukuna." I said as I walked past him and towards Yuji, "It’s odd, I figured the King of Curses would snap so quips or sothing."

Yuji looked at , "Yea, it’s weird..." He said, "Maybe it’s your cursed technique, Choso says it’s so sort of instinctual feeling...."

"Curses instinctively fear due to my Cursed Technique, Calamity." I said, "But Sukuna is not a Curse, he’s a sorcerer that turned himself into a Cursed Object. As for death painting wombs, they’re born from a curse, so I guess it runs in their blood...but...."

I looked at him with a confused look.

"You’re not afraid, are you?" I asked Yuji

He shook his head, "N-No...?" He said

"Hm." I said, "Odd."

"Why should he?" gumi asked

I shrugged, "I don’t know..." I said turning around,

"No reason."
