Pierce’s POV
I couldn’t stop smiling because of what happened. Kelly’s giving another chance and I can feel that she’s letting in slowly. She anticipated my kiss. It’s a waste that I didn’t get to kiss her. I missed her lips. I badly want to kiss her again but then, I should lie low because I know I shocked her last night.
It wasn’t actually my intention. Kissing her. But when I saw her lips up close, my feelings seed to explode. I couldn’t control myself and I wanted to feel her soft lips again.
It’s been a few days since that almost-kiss happened and I’m still at the cloud because of it. Kelly can still affect and clearly, I’m madly in love with her.
My smile widened even more after I received a ssage from Kelly—from Snow, actually. She took a photo of herself while behind her was her mom sleeping. Whenever I visit Snow, she would always ask to teach her about using a cellphone. She’s too young for that but I couldn’t say no and I’m actually very happy that I taught her because she’s ssaging .
After replying to her ssage with my own photo, smiling at the cara, I made the photo Snow sent , my lock screen and ho screen wallpaper.
Staring at the photo, I noticed sothing on Snow’s face. She looked like soone I can’t figure out if you stare at her face longer. However, while looking at her face, Kelly, sleeping behind her in the photo caught my attention. She still sleeps like a baby. Hugging a pillow innocently.
“You look retarded.”
I just glanced at Phoebe and moved a little to give her space on the couch. She sat beside and looked at the screen of my phone.
“Is that Kelly and Snow?” She sounded so shocked and a bit...scared? I don’t know. I’m too happy to pay attention to whatever she’s thinking.
I smirked at her. “Don’t you dare tell Kelly.”
She pursed her lips. “You’re creepy.”
My forehead creased as I stared at her crumpled face. “Why would it be creepy? I just set their picture as my wallpaper. What’s wrong with that?”
“What’s wrong is you’re not her husband anymore. Not even a boyfriend.”
I rolled my eyes at her. “She gave a chance. I’m courting her.”
“What?”
I shot an eyebrow up. “What? Was that so shocking?”
“Of course! Why would she give you a chance?”
I frowned. “Don’t you want to be happy, Phoebe?”
“That’s not it! It’s just...I’m shocked.”
“She married before even though she doesn’t have feelings for . Now, I can feel that she’s falling for . So what’s shocking?”
She frowned and rolled her eyes. “You’re so dumb!”
I gritted my teeth and angrily faced her completely. “Shut up, you brat! Just go and help mom prepare your upcoming birthday celebration. Why are you even ssing with ?”
She sighed and looked at her hands. My forehead creased when I saw an invitation in her hands.
“Is that for Kelly? I can give it to her.”
“I already gave her an invitation card. This is...for...soone.”
I shot an eyebrow up. “Do I know this ‘soone’?”
She smirked and looked at . “Yes. Can you hand it to him?”
“Him?” I was even more alard and surprised. “I’m telling you, Phoebe Anderson. You can’t date anyone...yet. You still have to finish college—”
“It’s not like I’m gonna ask him on a date, Pierce.” She frowned. “I just wanna invite him on my birthday. That’s all. He’s my...idol anyway.”
I hissed. “Who is it?”
She bit her bottom lip and looked at , pouting. She handed the invitation card and my face imdiately crumpled after seeing the na on the envelope.
“Caleb Walter?”
***Kelly’s POV
“Caleb, what brought you here?” I greeted Caleb Walter after I entered my office and saw him sitting on the couch.
He pulled himself up and smiled after he saw . My eyes landed on another person sitting on the couch and I paused when I realized they’re both carrying a bouquet of flowers.

“Pierce...” I said, almost a whisper as I stared at his face.
He looked in the eye and smiled. “I brought your...favorite flowers.”
Caleb looked at Pierce and then glanced at the bouquet in his hand.
I swallowed hard and walked towards them. I tried my best to smile even when I feel uncomfortable and confused. I understand Pierce bringing flowers but Caleb...I don’t know.
“Here.” They said in chorus as they handed the flowers.
I smiled awkwardly and accepted the bouquet. “Have a seat.”
They glanced at each other and I can say that they’re both annoyed.
“Uh...Do you want sothing to drink? Coffee or juice?”
“Just coffee.”
“Juice, please.”
My lips parted as I looked at them alternatively. Okay? They have different likes and they’re now glaring at each other.
“Caleb.” I stole Caleb’s attention because I feel like they’re about to argue.
He looked at and smiled as he fixed his eyeglasses. “I ca here to...talk to you about sothing, Kelly.”
I nodded. “What is it?”
He glanced at Pierce before he set his eyes on again. “I’d prefer...us alone.”
Pierce hissed. “We arrived here at the sa ti and you want to leave?”
“Pierce...” I called him. He looked at and his eyes softened.
I took a deep breath and put the bouquets on the coffee table. “How about...you two go back to your own companies and let’s set ti for each one of you.”
“I wanna court you, Kelly.”
I froze on my seat because of what Caleb said. He was looking at intently and his eyes were showing sincerity. When I looked at Pierce, I saw fear in his brown eyes.
“I know you won’t believe but I really, really like you. I...developed feelings for you when I saw your dedication and hardwork. I developed feelings for you...without noticing it.”
I don’t know what to say. I was so shocked. I didn’t believe Mary when he said that our boss has feelings for . I didn’t notice...or did I just ignore it because I have soone in my heart already?
“...I want to court you. Please give a chance.”
