"What the hell, Sawyer Jones? Did you know the news about Grandpa causing the company’s stock price to drop? If you don’t want to work for the company, that’s fine, but don’t act like a child. You ignore Father’s birthday and make Grandpa release that stupid news. Go ho and see him, or I’ll have soone burn your house down! I an it!"

Sawyer took a deep breath after reading Harvey’s insulting text ssage. He could only smile bitterly.

He no longer felt offended by Harvey’s cheap attitude; he had grown immune to it.

However, sotis he wondered: even though he didn’t join the family business, why was Harvey still verbally abusing him? What would happen if he actually worked there? That foolish man might force him to hang his head in sha.

Putting aside his concerns about Harvey, Sawyer entered the elevator heading to the underground parking lot while checking other ssages. Ethan’s text caught his attention.

"Sir, do you want to remove the news about your grandfather?"

After a mont of thought, Sawyer quickly typed back.

"Just let it be. You can add another news story about Harvey having a wild party."

He didn’t care if this news caused the company’s stock prices to drop significantly. That was a problem for his older brother, the CEO, not for him.

Another text from Ethan appeared.

"Their stock is already suffering. Are you sure you want to add fuel to the fire, sir?"

"I don’t care! Let my beloved big brother stay busy for a few more days."

"Consider it done, sir!"

Sawyer smiled as he put away his cell phone. He needed to keep his older brother busy because he felt that Harvey had too much free ti to text him.

Brody waited for Sawyer by the rcedes S-Class. He watched as Sawyer erged from the elevator, dressed in a new black long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and sneakers—the typical outfit he wore when visiting his family’s house.

Quickly, Brody opened the passenger door, but Sawyer shook his head. "Get my usual car. I’ll drive myself..."

"But, sir—" Brody could not finish his sentence as Sawyer shot him a look that seed to say, "One more word, and you’ll regret it!"

Brody sensed that sothing had put his boss in a bad mood again. Choosing not to speak, he hurried over to Sawyer’s car collection. A short while later, he returned with a black Jeep, the least expensive vehicle in the lineup.

"I won’t return ho. You don’t need to wait for ," Sawyer said as he got into the car.

"Yes, sir." Brody let out a silent sigh, feeling sorry for his boss. It seed like his boss would be stuck at his grandparents’ house.

After watching Sawyer’s car leave the basent, Brody returned to his station on the other side.

Sawyer drove to Sandiego Hills, a property owned by the wealthiest families in the country, including the Jones family. This location was not in the middle of the city; it was about thirty minutes from Sawyer’s residence at the Garden Hill Complex.

Special access was required to enter Sandiego Hills. However, Sawyer was able to enter smoothly because his car was registered for access to the area.

As he caught sight of his Grandpa’s house in the distance, Abigail suddenly ca to mind. In a hurry, he accelerated and made his way to his Grandpa’s mansion on a hill that boasted the best scenery among all the mansions in Sandiego Hills.

When he parked in the front yard, he raised an eyebrow at seeing a familiar car. Taking a deep breath, he pulled out his cell phone to call Abigail.

But before Sawyer called her, he saw Abigail’s text. It made him feel bad because he was only calling her now.

Hearing Abigail’s sweet voice on the other end slowly ward Sawyer’s heart, which had been irritated by the car parked next to his own. He was reluctant to enter his grandfather’s house because he would have to face his father.

"I’m sorry, Abby. I could only call you now. I was in a hurry to get to Grandpa’s house," he said.

"It’s fine, Sawyer. I’m sorry I texted you earlier, but I was so worried that you might be exhausted after driving us from the cabin."

Abigail’s concerned tone brought a faint smile to the corners of Sawyer’s lips. Her worry made him forget about the car next to his car.

"Sorry to worry you, Abby. I’m fine. I didn’t spend much ti at ho. I drove straight to Grandpa’s house and called you as soon as I arrived..." he explained.

"Oh, you arrived there? Sawyer, you need to greet your Grandpa first. I won’t take your ti... We can talk later," Abigail said, hoping to end the call.

"It’s fine, Abby," Sawyer replied calmly as he unbuckled his seatbelt and turned off the car engine. "What are you up to? You still have plenty of ti before you go to the café, right?"

"Yeah, my shift starts at two-thirty..."

"Why don’t you take a nap?" Sawyer suggested.

A long sigh ca from the other end of the line, making Sawyer frown with concern and curiosity. "What happened?" he asked, trying to stay calm despite his worry.

"Nothing happened, but I don’t have ti to rest. I need to clean the house. I’ve been here for a week, and I need to do a general cleanup."

Sawyer looked relieved to hear that. He thought that damn man, Ryland, was bothering her again. However, his expression changed when he processed her words.

"Why do you need to clean the house? It seed very clean when I saw it last ti. You don’t have to do it now, do you?"

"Ugh, I know. But I need to do a deep cleaning because this was part of the contract when I rented this place. I told you about Mr. Peters...right? That guy is really thorough about house cleanliness."

Sawyer’s expression darkened as he thought about giving Peters a piece of his mind. How dare he ask Abigail to do a deep clean of his house every week?
