After closing the door behind him, Sawyer rushed over to Abigail apologetically, aware that he had put her in a difficult situation.

Sawyer knew that Abigail had already worked hard to open her heart to him. Still, he realized that bringing her to et his entire family could be too much to ask. He was concerned about how his family would react when they finally t her and whether she could handle it.

However, the current situation has taken an unexpected turn. He could no longer hide Abigail’s identity from his grandmother.

"Abby, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know my Grandma would co by to visit her sick friend in this hospital. And I couldn’t have imagined Aaron slip-tongued and telling her about being in this hospital and room with my girlfriend, you."

Sawyer said, stopping in front of Abigail, placing his hands on her waist, and looking deeply into her eyes. He was confused by how calm she was—was she okay, or was she still nervous?

"I’m really sorry, Abby. I didn’t an to make you upset or uncomfortable," he whispered.

Abigail gave a faint smile. "Sawyer, it’s fine. It was a bit perplexing at first, but now, I know I can handle it because you have explained it to . There’s no need to feel bad about it," she said, taking his hand.

Sawyer smiled, feeling a wave of relief wash over him.

"Do you want to et her? Or is she already going ho?" Abigail asked calmly, though she felt her blood run cold inside; she was incredibly nervous.

Sawyer’s eyes sparkled with excitent as he prepared to introduce Abigail to her grandmother. However, even though he was excited, he also didn’t want her to feel pressured.

"Abby, are you seriously ready to et Granny Martha?" he asked.

"Do I have other options? I’m going to et her sooner or later, anyway," Abigail replied with a smile, shaking her head at his eager expression.

"So, yes. Yes, I am ready. Let’s go. We shouldn’t keep her waiting too long, right?" She answers him.

Abigail understood that the way this relationship goes ans she would eventually have to et all of his family, so she took the lead and headed toward the door, trying to calm her racing heart.

A proud smile spread across Sawyer’s face as he followed her out of the room, holding her hand. However, when his grandmother saw them, Abigail instinctively let go of his hand.

Sawyer chuckled softly to himself, glancing at her shyly.

Abigail saw Aaron smiling widely at her as he had since they first t this morning. His smile made her feel more relaxed.

And when Abigail noticed the woman with short gray hair, her nervousness faded. For so unknown reason, the old woman reminded her of her grandmother. The mont their eyes t, she sensed a calmness in the woman’s gaze, similar to what she felt when she looked at her own Grandma.

For a mont, she stood still, unsure of how to react, as she continued to look at the woman.

"Abby, let introduce you to my grandmother, Martha," Sawyer said, his voice gentle as he touched her back.

Abigail turned to him and nodded, then returned her gaze to Grandma Martha. She was taken aback when she saw Grandma Martha standing up and approaching her with a warm, big smile.

"Grandma, this is Abigail; she is my future wife—" Sawyer’s voice trailed off when he noticed his grandmother already embracing Abigail in her arms.

Sawyer could only shake his head and chuckle inwardly. Of course, his Grandma would ignore him after he officially introduced Abigail to her.

"Oh my Lord, Abigail, my child, you are magnificently beautiful! It’s nice to et you finally, my dear." Martha released her embrace and stepped back to better appreciate Abigail’s beauty.

Martha’s smile grew wider as she held Abigail’s hand tightly. This young girl is beautiful inside and out. Her calm, kind aura imdiately made Martha like her.

"Ms. Jones, I am glad to finally et you, too," Abigail replied shyly. She was so happy to sense that Sawyer’s Grandma genuinely liked her.

"Abigail, please, there’s no need to speak formally to , dear," Martha held Abigail’s hand. Before she continued her words, "I’m Sawyer’s grandma, and you are his future wife, so just call Grandma, as Sawyer does," she insisted.

Abigail couldn’t refuse Martha’s request; she nodded in agreent, though she still felt shy when she heard the words, "Sawyer’s future wife..."

"Yes, Grandma, I will," Abigail answered shyly.

"Grandma, could you please sit first and then talk? Abby seems a bit weak and might not be able to stand for too long," Sawyer said as he settled onto the sofa.

Abigail, "..."

’Gosh, Sawyer Jones! I’m not that weak, alright!’ She responded to him with a frosty smile.

Martha remained silent. After gently asking Aaron to move and sit beside Sawyer, she imdiately guided Abigail to sit next to her.

"Oh right, Abigail, I hear from Sawyer that you also have a grandmother?" Martha asked, starting to chat with Abigail and ignoring Sawyer and Aaron.

"Yes, Grandma. She is in Orange Town now." Abigail stifled a smile when she noticed that Sawyer and Aaron did not seem pleased that Grandma Martha was utterly ignoring them.

Grandma Martha’s warm gesture completely relaxed Abigail. Slowly, her worries and anxieties disappeared.

As they chatted, Abigail felt an instant connection with Grandma Martha, almost like she had the sa energy as her grandmother.

They talked for nearly half an hour until Sawyer gently reminded Martha about their dinner plans.

Martha quickly stood up and invited Abigail to dinner at their ho.

"Abigail, let’s go. I’ve already asked the chef to prepare so delicious food to welco you into our family," Martha said, her eyes shining as she took Abigail’s hands.

However, Abigail was taken aback by the dinner invitation—Sawyer hadn’t ntioned it beforehand.

She glanced at him, looking for clarification. Still, Sawyer had already stood up and headed to the door with Aaron. Utterly unaware of her questioning gaze.
