Sawyer silently sighed deeply before asking, "Grandma, even my driver didn’t know I had entered this VVIP room. How did you find ? Can you explain how you know I’m in this room?" He was still curious.
Martha smiled and explained, "Oh dear Sawyer... I’m visiting my friend. She is hospitalized on this floor. When I wanted to go ho, I ran into your friend. He imdiately told about you in this room..."
"My friend?" Sawyer asked, confused for a second before imdiately figuring it out.
"Hmm, your childhood friend..." Martha replied. Just then, the door to the VVIP ward opened, and Aaron Hart appeared.
Martha bead and pointed at Aaron. "There... there he is! This handso guy, Aaron, told that you were in this room."
Aaron was about to walk in when he saw Sawyer’s gaze, and he suddenly froze. He gave an awkward smile to Sawyer, who glared at him with a furious look.
’Oh no! I must’ve co at the wrong ti! Should I run before Sawyer kills ?’
Aaron tried to maintain an innocent grin, hoping his best friend would forgive him for letting slip to his beloved grandmother sothing he was ant to keep secret.
Seeing the fury in Sawyer’s eyes, as if he wanted to punch him through his stare, Aaron decided to pretend he was receiving an ergency call.
However, Aaron’s hand froze mid-air just as he was about to take out his cell phone when Martha playfully waved him over.
"Aaron, my dear, co. Co and join us! I haven’t seen you much since you beca a director at this hospital. Co sit with Granny here," Martha said, tapping the sofa beside her.
"G-Granny," Aaron said with a growing grin as he walked over and sat down next to Martha, ignoring Sawyer, who continued to give him a cold, sharp stare. "I thought you had already gone ho, Granny."
"How could I go ho? I need to catch a glimpse of my granddaughter-in-law and say a word or two to her," Martha replied, her eyes sparkling as she glanced at a tightly shut bedroom door.
"Grandma, you’re right. You need to et my sister-in-law..." Aaron said, earnestly nodding in agreent with Martha.
"You said she’s beautiful?" Martha asked, glancing at Sawyer, but noticed he was ignoring them while focused on his cell phone.
"No, Granny. Beautiful is an insufficient word to describe her," Aaron suddenly shook his head with a grin. "If I have to put it in so many words, I would say my sister-in-law is not just beautiful but absolutely stunning and elegant yet humble at the sa ti. She’s like a goddess lost on Earth, unable to return to heaven." He laughed when he saw Martha gasp and grab his hand.
"Wow, are you telling the truth, Aaron?"
"Yes, yes, Granny. I’m not lying to you." Aaron continued praising Abigail to enlighten Sawyer’s temper toward him. When Aaron noticed Sawyer stifling a smile and his expression no longer resembled that of a grim reaper, he felt relief.
Martha nodded happily and clapped her hands. "My grandson is so lucky to have t a goddess!"
"Yeah, Granny. My best friend is indeed lucky. I hope he shares half of his luck with . I must find my own goddess before leaving this wonderful world."
Aaron smiled as he glanced at Sawyer. When he saw Sawyer narrowing his eyes at him, he quickly turned his focus back to Martha.
Sawyer sighed deeply, having just seen his grandma and friend gossiping about Abigail. He was strongly urged to return to the bedroom and cuddle with her instead of listening to their chat.
"Oh, right! Where’s my sister-in-law, Sawyer?" Aaron asked, looking at him again. "Is she still sleeping inside?"
"Did you get the results, Aaron?" Sawyer asked, ignoring his question.
Aaron raised his eyebrows, looking confused. "My friend, I emailed you the results. Don’t tell you didn’t get it?"
"I haven’t checked. But didn’t you say you would deliver and explain the lab result directly to ?" Sawyer replied, giving Aaron a displeased look before looking at his cell phone to check his email.
A sense of relief washed over him when he read the results of Abigail’s dical examination—she was fine, with no injuries to her head.
"I was about to... but I t Granny Martha. By the way, you worry too much, man. She’s fine! Her lab test even shows she’s much healthier than the average woman her age," Aaron chuckled, looking at his friend.
Martha asked worriedly, "Sawyer, Aaron, what’s with the lab test? Did my daughter-in-law encounter sothing that jeopardized her health? Is she truly well, like the test shows, right now?" She turned her gaze to both of them, waiting for an explanation.
"Grandma, Abby is fine. She just bumped her head on sothing that was not too hard but absolutely wicked, so we need to do an MRI to check things out," Sawyer explained while inwardly praising Abby’s strong headbutt.
"Oh, poor thing," Martha said, sorry to hear that. She grew impatient to et the girl. "Oh, Sawyer, her na is Abby?"
"Her na is Abigail," he corrected her—only him who could call her "Abby."
"What a beautiful na! Is it okay if you wake her up now?" Martha pleaded. "We need to return ho soon, or your Grandpa will co looking for us..."
Sawyer felt defeat at his grandma’s pleading gaze. He imdiately stood up from his seat.
"Alright, Grandma. With her lab results like this, she’s okay with eting you. Please wait a mont," Sawyer said before walking to the bedroom. He hoped Abigail would be ready to et his grandma.
When he opened the bedroom door, Sawyer was surprised to find Abigail not on the bed. She had just co out of the bathroom and looked calm, utterly different from how she appeared before he left the room earlier.
After closing the door behind him, Sawyer rushed over to Abigail apologetically, aware that he had put her in a difficult situation.
