The rcenaries threw down the pouches they were holding and raised their weapons.
“Catch him! He’s the one who started this!”
“Catch him alive!”
Shouts erupted from all over.
Arendt glanced at the rcenaries rushing towards them, smiled at rlin one last ti, and then kicked the table right next to them.
Boom!
Clang!
The place beca a ss, with bottles of liquor breaking and food strewn across the floor.
People were left in a state of panic by the unexpected scuffle and began to run away screaming.
rlin, who had suddenly co to his senses, cursed again.
“Block the exit! Don’t let anyone out!”
“Stop yelling. If you do, I’ll grab the back of your neck and knock you down. Oh my.”
Arendt, without missing the opportunity, made a fuss again, and easily dodged the sword that was flying towards his head by ducking his body.
Arendt dug straight into the enemy’s torso, raised his elbow, and struck the enemy’s jaw hard, throwing the staggering rcenary onto the gambling table.
The table, unable to handle the weight, was shattered with a loud crash.
The rcenary buried in the table debris tried to get up by flailing his limbs, but in the next mont, Glenn’s foot flew in and crushed his face.
Leaving the sagging rcenary behind, Arthur grabbed the man charging at him from the front by the collar and headbutted him, knocking him unconscious.
“Ahh!”
anwhile, a rcenary with his teeth clenched and his sword drawn rushed at Glenn, aiming for the back of his head. However, he was defeated by a clean blow from Rider.
“What are you doing, you idiots!”
There was so much chaos, with people rolling around on the floor, spilling things, and food strewn about.
rlin, who had been running wild, was hit in the elbow by a guest who was running away in a hurry and fell down.
So custors got into fist fights after pushing and bumping into each other.
Arendt, standing tall on the fallen table, smiled with satisfaction.
“The view is beautiful.”
rcenaries were seen standing in front of people trying to escape, sweating profusely.
And there was a group of people who slid into the chaos.
There were several knights who had knocked out the rcenaries belonging to the gambling house and who had taken their clothes, and so prisoners who also disguised themselves as custors. Under the protection of Saif and Richt, they were slowly making their way towards the exit.
“That side is done.”
Arendt’s gaze shifted elsewhere.
A small boy wearing a worker’s uniform and a few rcenaries accompanying him were seen.
It was the boy who had been locked in the prison and Arthur and his group. They were moving in the opposite direction of those heading towards the exit.
So far, everything has gone smoothly.
“Catch that kid! What the hell is he doing?”
rlin, whose eye sockets had swollen twice as much as before, staggered to his feet and scread.
If he asked him what he was doing, it would be common sense to answer.
Arendt kicked the rcenary who was rushing towards him with a thump, took a deep breath, and then his refreshing shout echoed through the chaotic world of pleasure.
“I’m a rascal who ca here to take money from your pockets. Give my money back, you scamrs!”
Rider almost bit his tongue at that loud declaration.
“That crazy guy!”
Even in the midst of all this, his body moved steadily, and he picked up the leg of a broken chair that was rolling nearby and hit the back of the rcenary’s head with it.
“Kkuek!”
He didn’t know why Arendt was so excited. He seed to really like this ss he created with his own hands.
Rider recalled the situation just before.
Arendt knocked out the rcenaries guarding the front of the prison and took their clothes, then went straight upstairs and led a few rcenaries down to the basent.
It was the sa thod used in the East Safe.
It was easy to subdue those who had been lured into prison.
So of the guests who were loitering around the special space in the basent were also kidnapped in this manner and costus for this not-so-funny farce were prepared.
They were probably squirming in the dungeon right now, tied up tight.
“Oh, really. What did I do to suffer like this?”
There wasn’t much ti to think about anything else. Rider blocked the weapons flying from the side with his sword and kicked the enemy away.
Their goal wasn’t to take them all down, it was to literally cause a scene.
It was to create as much chaos as possible to attract attention and draw troops here so that the others could do their part safely.
To accomplish that goal, he picked up a chair and hit the rcenary’s head hard with it.
Rider, clutching the chair leg that had broken off with a crack, shouted just as Arendt had earlier.
“Co at , you little shits!”
“…Don’t learn strange things.”
But he imdiately regretted it when Glenn, who was fighting right next to him, spoke with a complicated tone.
Arthur, who had been hesitant, followed the boy Enoch down to the basent level, where Arendt was fighting.
But Enoch soon led the group to the entrance of a hidden staircase.
The rcenary who had originally been guarding the entrance had left to join in on Arendt’s brawl.
“If you go down these stairs, you’ll find a space for the workers. There’s also a path leading to the kitchen… there’s also a place for the employees to stay, or a storage room.”
“Aha, so they made a completely different entrance from the lower level guest rooms and prison. Are they ants? Why did they dig so deep underground?”
Arthur grumbled in annoyance.
Others who had been observing slowly approached them.
“I don’t think it’s sothing we need to worry about, but are they going to be okay?”
“Leave them be, whether it’ll be okay or not, it’s going to be exciting.”
He was half serious, half joking.
Even if Arendt was originally that kind of person… Glenn and Rider also seed to be corrupted.
‘They looked like bandits, but they were actually humans who knew a lot.’
It was quite complicated to see his respected seniors being corrupted one by one.
But the fact that it was dangerous could not be ignored.
Even though they had properly taken the initiative now, it was obvious that those three would eventually be pushed back. No matter how good their skills were, the nurical difference was overwhelming.
Besides, killing must be avoided, and humans do not have infinite physical strength.
“Let’s move as fast as possible.”
The group nodded resolutely at Arthur’s words.
As he turned the doorknob, the door opened with a click.
He opened the door slightly and checked, and saw a quiet hallway. It seed like everyone who had been waiting inside had run outside.
They quickly went inside and closed the door.
On either side of the door were nurous other doors whose purpose was unknown.
“This was the room used by the workers. There is another staircase inside that leads down further.”
Enoch spoke quickly and started to lead the way. The others followed him in silence.
“Are you okay?”
“I’ve seen it before, it’s still okay, so don’t worry too much.”
The old man answered Richt’s worried question with a bitter smile. The girl who had been clinging to her brother earlier was now helping the old man move.
Arendt chose the best and most luxurious clothes he had taken and dressed them on those who were least able to move.
Thanks to that, no one had found them to be suspicious yet.
“No one can leave!”
“I told you not to approach . Go back to your seat!”
This ti, knights disguised as rcenaries from the casino bared their teeth and shouted nacingly at the guests. At this, the people who were frightened hesitated and stepped back.
Richt slowly led his party through the path his comrades had made.
“Support?”
“Why are you coming now, damn it!”
The rcenaries guarding the exit were waving their hands and cursing at them. They were urging them to hurry.
“Get out of the way! Get out of the way! Why won’t you let out!”
“I told you not to co! Go back to your seat quickly!”
The area near the door was a ss with rcenaries and people scuffling.
“Don’t you think I know you’re trying to run away without paying, you swindler?”
“What? I’m a swindler? Don’t you know who I am? Are you a rcenary who dares talk nonsense?”
Eventually, the rcenary lost his patience and started to swear, which made the guests even more stimulated. However, the rcenaries did not back down either.
“Co here. I’ll show you a taste of fist-fighting that you’ve never tasted before in your life.”
“Do you think I can’t do that? You ignorant rcenary piece of shit!”
It was a tense situation. If anyone stepped wrongly, it seed like a fight would break out.
“Senior, what should we do?”
“…”
Richt observed the situation with sunken eyes.
As the standoff continued, the rcenaries and people split into two groups, glaring at each other as if they were going to eat each other.
This made it difficult to move.
After a mont of thought, he let out a short sigh.
“Well, I guess I have to do that.”
“What are you going to do?”
Saif sensed sothing ominous in his short mutter and asked in horror.
Instead of answering, Richt calmly looked around. Just then, he saw a man who had been swearing right next to him, holding a bottle of alcohol tightly in his arms.
Like everyone else, he was already quite drunk and had a red face, and he was yelling at the rcenaries.
“Get out! How can you guys, these baseless things, block the path of this precious body? …Huh?”
“Excuse .”
The man who had been cursing and even throwing a tantrum suddenly looked back in puzzlent as the bottle of alcohol in his arms suddenly left.
A blond young man ca into view, looking at the half-empty bottle as if weighing it.
His drunken face suddenly distorted.
“What is that green-horn doing? Are you a thief?”
“It’s just right.”
But Richt ignored it as if nothing happened and adjusted his grip on the bottle. He gripped the long neck of the bottle and asured the distance between himself and his target.
“I… Senior?”
“Be prepared. Protect the people.”
“Yes?”
Richt, who had responded calmly to his junior’s pitiful call, imdiately pulled his arm back and threw the bottle of alcohol.
The target was a rcenary who cursed until his throat burst.
The bottle of alcohol flew with great force and hit the rcenary squarely in the face.
Clang!
The sound of the bottle breaking echoed clearly in the space filled with a strange silence.
The body of the rcenary who was taken by surprise tilted and then fell backwards.
The fellow rcenaries who were nearby and those who had been hurling insults at them also seed unable to imdiately understand what had happened.
But that silence was short-lived.
A twinkle began to light in the rcenaries’ eyes.
“These… bastards dare to hit soone?”
“I guess those who make money by beating up people don’t want to get beaten up either?”
But the crowd, already excited to the max, did not back down.
A lee broke out here as well. The people involved were grabbing each other’s hair, biting each other’s nails, and even biting each other with their teeth.
Boom, boom!
The dazed gazes of those who had been watching the petty fight from afar reached Richt.
“Be careful not to get caught up in that. We will break through in one go.”
“…Senior, please don’t hang out with that Arendt kid too often.”
He quietly ignored his junior’s earnest advice.
