“True enough, all the plots in any novels and movies are all fake. There is really no deity that will step in on colorful clouds to save the people who need help. Anhao has already suffered so many years of grievances but no one ca to save her! I am really losing all hope already…”
Chunchun continued staring at Anhao as she continued covering the redness of her cheek using the foundation. The more she looked at Anhao, the more frustrated Chunchun felt.
Anhao froze for a mont as she patted the foundation onto her face, listening to Chunchun’s words, not saying anything at all.
After arriving at her classroom, several of her classmates could not help but stare at her with a strange expression on their face because it was truly a rare occasion for Anhao to arrive at her classroom at eight o’clock sharp in the morning.
Anhao arriving punctually to class was really big news.
In fact, Gu Anhao did not want to attend class at all. However, since she had already promised Zuo Hancheng that she would definitely pass all her subjects in the final examination, this was a battle that she had no choice but to fight.
Anhao was only attending school and making a decision to study hard because of her promise to Zuo Hancheng.
In the past five years, no one had ever shown any concern toward Gu Anhao and no one cared whether her grades were good or bad. Moreover, even if she had good grades, her father and her family did not care about her achievents at all. Therefore, Anhao gradually beca numb to the situation after being ignored for such a long ti.
Regardless of Zuo Hancheng’s true intentions, at least soone was sincerely hoping for her to get good grades in her studies this ti. Gu Anhao heaved a sigh of relief as she thought about it.
All she had to do was to pass each of her subjects! If she studied hard for the whole month, she would definitely be able to pass the examination!
After classes that day, Gu Anhao actually made a trip to the teacher’s office to ask the teacher so questions because she did not understand what she was teaching in class. Gu Anhao’s action really shocked the teachers and the other students.
What was going on?
Did the sun rise from the west today?
Gu Anhao ca to class on ti and she was actually paying attention in class!
This was definitely a big piece of news in A High and this rumor quickly circulated around the school in the morning.
At the mont, Gu Anhao was having lunch with her friends in the cafeteria.
“Are you really going to start studying hard for the final examinations next month?” Huang Amao initially thought that Gu Anhao was simply spouting nonsense in the morning. However, after seeing Anhao’s unexpected behavior today, she had no choice but to believe that she was absolutely serious.
Anhao did not reply to Huang Amao’s question imdiately, she simply looked at the ti on her watch as she continued eating her lunch. “There are twenty nine more days before the final examinations. If I start studying hard from today onward, it will not be that difficult for to pass the final examinations. It’s just the third year of high school, so how difficult can it be? I just have to make sure that I study and read through all the textbooks.”
“That is true. After all, you have never once paid attention in class or studied seriously in the past three years. I can still rember that your textbooks were still brand new even after finishing your first year of high school.”
“But Anhao, what is the reason for this change in you? Didn’t you say that the college entrance examination at the start of next year did not matter to you at all since you do not mind even if you do not attend university in the future? Why did you suddenly change your mind?”
Anhao placed her chin on her hand as she replied, “Well, I am currently fighting a battle with soone and this is a battle that I cannot afford to lose.”
“A battle? With whom?”
Anhao squinted her eyes and smiled before she replied, “Zuo Hancheng.”
“Again?”
“What is the point? He is already a male idol now without even doing anything at all! Why are you trying to impress him? It will not be that easy!”
Anhao felt that there was no way that she would be able to explain the situation to them. Therefore, she only shook her head without saying anything at all.
These silly people!
After lunch, Anhao decided to head to the library to spend an hour or so to look for so books to help in her studies. Chunchun and Huang Amao had already decided to go back to the dormitory to take a short nap before going for their next class later in the afternoon.
Therefore, Anhao went to the library on her own. After entering the library, Anhao walked amongst the nurous bookshelves in the library as she looked for so quick study notes and books that she could use for her studies. After spending so ti in the library, Anhao finally found one of the books written by a professional and she quickly headed toward the librarian so that she could go through the procedure of borrowing the book.
As she was headed toward the counter, Anhao suddenly saw a familiar figure walking toward her from another bookshelf that was not too far away.
Anhao was very eager to turn around and avoid him but she knew that it was already too late. Yi Zeyang had already seen her and he was already walking toward her.
Anhao held tightly onto the book in her hand as she watched the figure that was approaching her.
There were a lot of people in the library at this ti, including teachers, students and also the library staff. Anhao believed that Yi Zeyang would not be able to do anything to her. Therefore, she stood still in place as she waited for him to approach her.
Yi Zeyang was holding onto a French financial analysis data book which he would be using for his upcoming lecture in a few days’ ti. Anhao glanced at the book in his hand as he stopped directly in front of her.
As soon as he approached her, Anhao subconsciously took a few steps backward. She suddenly thought of the familiar taste of his lips against her own when she was drunk at the bar just a few nights ago. As she thought about it, she suddenly felt very embarrassed to face him.
“Co with ,” Yi Zeyang suddenly said.
Anhao stood still and she did not move at all. “Professor Yi, if you don’t mind, I would like to take advantage of the lunch break to spend so ti going through so quick study notes. If there is nothing important, I will go back to the classroom first.”
Anhao replied as soon as she heard Yi Zeyang’s words before she turned around to walk away. Yi Zeyang grabbed hold of her arms and Anhao could only turn around to face him.
His eyes were a little cold and indifferent and Anhao did not know what he was feeling at the mont.
However, she did not want to go out and talk to him alone because all that she could think of was what Zuo Hancheng had said to him over the phone the other night. She knew that she would not be able to go through his questioning. “Okay, you know that I have utmost respect for you but it does not an that I should give in to you all the ti. Do you want to break the rules and yell at you in the library? Do you really want to engage in a conversation with in front of all these teachers and students here or do you want to just follow quietly so that we can have this conversation elsewhere?”
“Where do you want to go?”
Yi Zeyang pursed his lips before he replied, “Just follow first.”
Anhao was very helpless but all that she could do was to follow after him with heavy footsteps.
After walking out of the library, Anhao followed behind Yi Zeyang as they walked along the corridor. Yi Zeyang’s pace was slightly faster and he was not walking by her side or patiently waiting for her to catch up with him as usual.
Both Yi Zeyang and Zuo Hancheng were about one hundred and eighty centiters in height and it was very difficult for Anhao to catch up with his pace. Therefore, she could only trot all the way to keep up with his pace.
Yi Zeyang did not turn around to check on her but he was obviously certain that she was following behind him.
As soon as they ca to the end of the corridor, Yi Zeyang turned to the right and headed straight into the grove behind the library.
The grove behind their campus… it was such a mysterious and ambiguous place and it was an exclusive place for lovers to hang out during their free ti.
Why did he bring her here?
Anhao did not think too much about it and she simply followed him into the grove.
Fortunately, it was still dayti and none of her male or female classmates were having their secret rendezvous at the mont. It was very quiet and serene.
Anhao could not stop her heart from beating frantically because of the quietness in the grove. She did not know what kind of situation she was going to encounter with Yi Zeyang.
