"Sorry, but I can't Joanna. It's not the condition of just anyone we are talking out about but the ruler of the entire Kingdom...,"
"Alia, no matter how hard you try to act heartless I know you are nothing like that," Joanna coaxed, her gaze not moving from Alia's face.
"I will only be at peace when I know about the current state of his condition. I know you will not deny of this," Joanna's gentle tone was capable of moving a stony heart but Alia refused to be moved.
After about five minutes of pleading and coaxing, Alia finally decided to tell her the response she wanted.
"There has been no break out recently. From my examination, I concluded that he can control his powers now," Alia announced seriously.
"Really?" Joanna's face sparkled at the re hearing that her boyfriend's condition was no longer unstable.
"Yes. You don't have to worry about him hurting you in bed or...,"
"I was never worried about that kind of thing because I trust him. I trust in his love for and I knew he would never hurt ," Joanna replied confidently.
Alia gazed at Joanna's face for a few seconds but didn't utter a word.
"Why are you staring at like that? Don't tell you don't believe what I said?" Joanna asked.
Alia adjusted the way she sat so that her back was no longer leaning against the couch.
"I do," She blurted.
"Actually, my team and I have been working on how to make him keep his powers under control. We were able to achieve that after so many failed tests and experints. Unfortunately, he went berserk after you left...," Alia trailed. She stretched and refilled her empty glass.
"Once again we were able to put his powers under control although he loses control of it whenever he is furious or excited," Alia paused.
"By excitent, are sexual pleasures included in that?" Joanna asked without thinking.
"Rember you said you only wanted to know his current condition...,"
"I am asking you this because he refused to go into details...,"
"And I am sure there was a reason why he did that," Alia chided.
Joanna went quiet afterwards. Though she didn't outrightly admit it she believed that there was a bit of truth in Alia's words.
"The conclusion of all I said is that your trust might have contributed a lot to his current condition. Your unwavering trust might be the reason he was able to control his powers completely," Alia concluded.
Joanna smiled radiantly. She lifted her hand and cupped her smiling face, "You keep praising today," She mumbled amidst her sweet smile.
"I am afraid I will explode from over-excitent if you keep this up...,"
"You deserve it so there is no need to be modest about it. It's just us, rember?" Alia smiled along with her.
"I didn't do anything. He was the one who pulled through it all by himself so he deserves all the praise," Joanna smiled. Her face flushed red.
"If you say so," Alia grinned. She took another sip from the glass without arguing with Joanna.
Thirty minutes later, Joanna stretched her hand and carried her phone from where she kept it.
"What the heck!" Joanna scread and jerked to her feet on seeing what the ti was.
"What is it?" Alia asked. She jumped to her feet and peered at Joanna's phone screen to see what was wrong.
"Is this the correct ti or is my phone ti wrong?" She asked. She looked around the bar's wall for a clock but she couldn't see any.
Alia bent and picked up her phone from the table. She unlocked the screen and passed the phone over to Joanna.
"Do you still think the ti is wrong?" Alia asked the anxious lady.
Joanna frantically bent and carried her pouch from where she dropped it. "Damn, I can't believe I spent so much ti here," Joanna mumbled.
"I am sure they must have waited for a long ti and even grew tired of it...,"
"Did he specify the ti you should return?" Alia was moved to ask when she saw how panicky Joanna was.
"He didn't," She blurted and turned to leave.
"Then why are you in such a haste...,"
"Because...," Joanna paused on realising that she didn't have a good reason for her current behaviour.
"See, you can't even tell one reason why you are in such a rush to return ho," Alia muttered.
She sat back down on the couch but with her legs crossed this ti around.
"Joanna, I know you love him and want to spend ti with him but I will advise that you do that with modesty. He is not a kid after all," Alia advised.
Joanna, who was in a haste to run away, halted. She turned and gazed at Alia.
"He is still going to return to who he is and we don't know how long it will take you to officially beco his wife. It will be difficult for him to adapt to his previous life if he gets used to having you around...,"
"And isn't that a good thing" Joanna cut in?
"Of course, it's a good thing. I an from your perspective," Alia said. She removed her crossed legs and sat with her back resting on the couch.
"What do you an?" Joanna frowned. Just to get Alia's reply she sat back down with her attention concentrated on her face.
"I an to you, getting him addicted to your presence might sound like a good thing but have you considered how it will feel when you are no longer there 24/7 with him?" Alia asked like the great doctor that she was.
Joanna, who was in haste to refute Alia's words, paused. She spared a bit of her ti to think about Alia's points.
"His condition will be no different from a drug addict who is suddenly forced to quit drugs without any treatnt. And your condition will not be different from his..," Alia paused and let her words linger in Joanna's mind.
