Chapter 26: 0026 Blagging a al for free, what is there to be dissatisfied about?_1

After everything was ready, the tantalizing aroma had already caught Ruffy Smith’s attention.

He had tasted countless delicacies from mountains and seas, which were not particularly rare to him, but Ellen Young’s cooking skills were indeed not bad.

Just the aroma alone was comparable to those dishes made by famous chefs he had eaten in the past.

Of course, he noticed the way Ellen Young cooked; she constantly adjusted the heat, smaller and larger, to control it, clearly indicating she was an expert.

He had planned to give Ellen Young so face, pretending it was delicious even if it was just average, but it turned out she really did cook well.

Since she had drawn out two pairs of chopsticks, both brand new and sterilized, Ruffy took them and simply asked, “Is it just you eating at ho?”

Ellen Young countered, “Otherwise?”

Only then did Ruffy sit down with satisfaction.

It ant that no one else had used these chopsticks. If Ellen Young had used them, he could tolerate it.

The white rice was stead to fluffy perfection, made from high-quality, specially cultivated pearl rice, which was specially delivered for her; it couldn’t be bought anywhere else.

The two sat in the pavilion, with fish freshly stead and then doused in a special sauce, the tender fish flesh curling up from the heat—an incomparably delicious mouthful.

But she had added chili pepper to the beef, to her own taste.

Ruffy didn’t touch it at all.

Because he couldn’t eat spicy food.

Ellen Young didn’t mind; she was just happy eating by herself, and Ruffy was purely an outsider.

Ruffy wasn’t stingy with his complints, “Your cooking is really good, no worse than any of the famous chefs I’ve tried.”

Ellen Young said nothing.

Ruffy ate with elegance; even if it was delicious, he would stop once he had enough and wouldn’t overeat.

Of course, since he was eating at Ellen Young’s house, he did finish a bowl of rice, and observing her silent deanor, Ruffy couldn’t help but laugh as he set down his chopsticks, “You who often do experints, have you been out of touch with people for so long that you don’t know how to interact with normal people?”

Ellen Young, “You don’t look like a normal person to .”

He wasn’t offended by her reply, just chuckled, “Are you really going to record that program?”

Ellen Young, “I won’t go back on my word.”

Ruffy, “Fine, I actually want to see the expressions of your professor colleagues when they see you on TV.”

After saying that and looking at Ellen Young, who appeared contemplative, he tapped his fingers on the stone table and suddenly asked, “Was it your sister who ca to see you, and not your parents?”

Ellen Young took a bite of rice and picked up a piece of fish with her chopsticks, “Isn’t it better that they didn’t co?”

She enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Ruffy didn’t know much about her parents’ situation; the Wood Family wasn’t prominent enough to catch the Smith Family’s attention, as they had never been ntioned before.

Ruffy had received information from his subordinates, and since official matters concerning Ellen Young were always suppressed, he couldn’t openly investigate too much.

But it was different with the Wood Family.

Seeing her attitude, Ruffy knew there was sothing fishy about the Wood Family, and as if thinking of a funny matter, he said, “Your parents couldn’t possibly think you’re too shaful because you grew up in the countryside, and don’t want you to return, could they?”

Ellen Young, “You should ask them about that, why ask ?”

Ruffy was extrely perceptive, and in just a few sentences, he had grasped so ins and outs of the Wood Family.

Imagining that scene made him think he could survive the year on that joke alone.

But Ellen Young was beginning to chase him out, “You’ve finished eating, it’s ti for you to go.”

Ruffy, “Are you really so heartless? I’ve only been here a short while, and you’re already driving away?”

Ellen Young, “You freeloaded a al, and I was the one who cooked it. What’s there to be unsatisfied with?”
