2035, Sumr Solstice.

i City First Elentary School.

September 1st.

Today was the first day of the new sester. Parents delivering their children to school were coming and going continuously, and the entrance was filled with cars dropping off and picking up.

The primary school students arriving at the school gate all had different expressions, presenting a vivid tableau of the many facets of life:

So were hopping and jumping excitedly, clearly unable to wait to et a little friend they hadn't seen during the sumr vacation;

So had furrowed brows and gloomy faces, looking like they might not have finished their sumr howork.

Of course, the diversity of the primary students was also quite complex.

There were also students with calm expressions, their eyes betraying no hint of joy or anger.

This calm-eyed student passed the school gate slowly with his backpack on.

At that mont, there were three Safety, Civility, and Etiquette Monitors standing at the gate. These students, though wearing the sa uniform as the others, had a completely different ecologic status due to their red armbands.

They were the school's minions, the archenemies of most of us primary school students!

In the big cities of China, primary students nowadays all have requirents regarding their attire when attending school — you can't wear a tank top, your fringe can't cover your eyes, you can't wear bracelets, earrings, necklaces or any other accessories.

At this ti, everyone must wear the sumr uniform, and there is one particularly important task for the opening ceremony — you must wear a bright red scarf.

Walk, walk...

As he passed through the school gate, the calm expression on his face suddenly relaxed, as if a burden had been lifted.

Sigh...

Finally, he had bluffed his way through.

However, just when this student thought he had escaped unscathed, a sharp voice suddenly ca from behind him —

"Stop there."

This voice was sowhat crisp and immature, yet it made his heart quiver —

"What, what's...?"

Before him stood a sowhat short girl with a ponytail and a wide forehead, who could be considered a cute little loli.

She stood with her hands clasped behind her back, giving off the air of an official, with legs apart and a stance that, despite her short stature, left an impression of seasoned authority.

She raised her head and looked at the student before her sternly. Even though he was a head taller, he didn't dare et her gaze and instead nervously turned his head away, touching the back of his neck.

"Is there a problem with the way I'm dressed?"

"There is, and it's a big one."

The girl raised her hand to the boy, "You, take off your red scarf and let see."

"I, it was so hard to put on, and if I take it off I won't know how to tie it."

"No problem, I'll help you tie it. But first —"

The girl pointed at his neck and then loudly proclaid, "What you're wearing around your neck has to be a red scarf!"

After being pointed out by the monitor, the boy seed a bit nervous. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and then muttered, "What proof do you have to say that? This is a red scarf, you can't just accuse people falsely."

"Your red scarf's color and material are very different from ours. Our red scarves are very cheap gauze with good transparency. But your red scarf is smooth and flat with no transparency at all, and there are weird lines on the edges!"

"My own red scarf is being washed, isn't it okay that I bought another red scarf?"

"The red scarf is a corner of the national flag, dyed with the blood of our fallen heroes. Its sanctity and honor are inviolable. It would be one thing if you truly bought a spare red scarf on the market, but the problem is... your red scarf is much thicker than a normal one."

"Your neck is covered in sweat, clearly because the material of that red scarf isn't breathable at all, or rather, what you are wearing is not a real kerchief. The truth is —"

The girl pointed at the boy's neck and then spoke righteously:

"You took the red cloth from your family's television set, folded it into a triangle, and pretended it was a red scarf. You are wearing a square cloth!"

Busted, he had been seen through!

The boy reluctantly untied the red cloth from his neck, unfolded it, and indeed, it was a square cloth.

"Fifth grade, class three, Yang Chenghao, not wearing the red scarf, disregarding school discipline, penalty points! Note it on their class's civility score, listen up! No leniency for indiscipline!"

"Look! Jiang Zhengyi from class four is on a power trip again!"

"It's just not wearing a red scarf, does she have to be so strict?"

"Hurry, let's go, don't let her catch you."

Among the students wearing red armbands, Jiang Zhengyi was undoubtedly the most special one, because besides the armband, she also had three sacred and honorable stripes —

She had successfully run for election and beco the Young Pioneers Captain of i City First Elentary School!

Every class had its Young Pioneers Squad Leaders, every grade its Company Leaders.

But... there was only one Captain.

That was !

From a young age, Jiang Zhengyi has been a great help to teachers, a role model for classmates, and the star of tomorrow, a true prodigy.

She had skipped two grades and, at the age of ten, beca a sixth-grade student.

Could just anybody do that?

No, they couldn't!

That's the kind of girl I was, respected from afar by everyone at school.

Jiang Zhengyi certainly knew she had a "reputation," but she wasn't bothered by the ostracization at all. Instead, she was very happy because it was a sign of her authority.

As long as I remain the Young Pioneers Captain of i City First Elentary School, I will definitely uphold the reputation of the number one primary school in i City!
