Chapter 827: Chapter 11 Conditions_2 Chapter 827: Chapter 11 Conditions_2 As for Link, he took the initiative to find Lady Lisandra and expressed that he could cooperate with the college at any ti and et with Cowell Ludville, the level six sage, for negotiations.

Sohow, Lady Lisandra’s attitude towards Link had changed.

She was no longer as repellant as before.

However, both were clear that between them lay a thorn that could not be removed.

Even if Link had the opportunity to kill Zoran Lucia,

What was done was done and could not be ignored.

Lady Lisandra asked Link to prepare, as he might be called upon to make an appearance that very afternoon.

The college would not let Link appear for nothing, and even prepared his reward in advance.

Two standard units of “ammunition” had already been replenished in the Grande Sage Army’s interstellar fleet.

This pleased Link greatly.

With two standard units, another battle like the last annihilation could be fought.

They were worth about six to twelve standard Tier 3 magic stones.

For a Fourth Level Sage, this appearance fee was not low.

Ti quickly advanced to the afternoon.

Escorted by Lady Lisandra, Link ca to a villa in the Central City area of Ravensmouth City.

Every wizard force exercised strict control over access to their howorld.

Even for allies like sopotamia University, Ravensmouth College would carefully decide whether to allow outsiders into the howorld.

Last ti, it was Great Sage Mitchell himself who summoned Lisandra, and Cowell Ludville was only allowed to bring her into the howorld of the Great Sage Mitchell’s tower after multiple vigilant teleportations.

Ravensmouth College, of course, chose the Wizard World Holand, in the Central City area of Ravensmouth City, to receive the delegation from the Tower of the Great Sage Mitchell.

Cowell Ludville had insisted repeatedly on his request to et with Sage Link Grande in person.

That afternoon, his wish was finally granted.

All other mbers of the delegation were excluded; in the vast conference hall, only Cowell Ludville, the level six sage, awaited Link’s arrival.

Lady Lisandra too was surprised by this scene.

“Madam, may I ask you to excuse us for a mont?”

The first words from Cowell Ludville were entirely unexpected.

“Impossible.”

Lady Lisandra did not even need to think before she flatly refused.

The request was truly unreasonable and felt very presumptuous.

“Alright then.”

Cowell Ludville did not seem surprised at all by the response.

He actually shrugged, showing a hint of nonchalance, his tone, posture, and actions sowhat improper.

Lady Lisandra’s eyebrows furrowed involuntarily.

Even with preparation, the college had surmised that Cowell Ludville’s insistence to et Link Grande was concealing so trickery.

However, at that critical mont, Lady Lisandra felt that they had been too optimistic.

It was then that Cowell turned to face the calm and composed Link, smiling as he spoke, “Greetings, Grande Sage, I am Cowell Ludville, we’ve t before.”

“We have t, Sage Ludville.”

Link responded briefly, without saying much more.

Before coming, Link had set his own rules for the eting and negotiations of the day.

Listen more, observe more, think more, talk less.

Cowell smiled and did not take Link’s wary deanor as slight, but rather appreciated it.

Good, he had not beco conceited by becoming a sage at such a young age, nor had he been complacent or haughty after having beaten a peer and a super-genius in the Supre Council.

A wizard who could always maintain humility and caution was one who could continually reach for new heights.

The principle was simple; such wizards were less likely to et with untily demise.

Geniuses who are dead, no matter how talented, are still dead.

Only living geniuses can fulfill their potential.

Such behavior from Link Grande made him worthy of the upcoming discussion.

Cowell turned back to Lady Lisandra, and with a very serious and somber tone, he said, “Great Sage Mitchell has decided that he is willing to give up the Mitchell District in exchange for Sage Link Grande joining the ranks of the Tower of the Great Sage Mitchell.”

“What?”

Lady Lisandra was so shocked that she almost jumped up.

Great Sage Mitchell was going to give up Mitchell District?

This news directly pierced through Lady Lisandra’s composure.

“Madam, you heard correctly.”

Cowell’s mouth curled with amusent, enjoying the sight of Lady Lisandra’s loss of composure and the hesitation that caused the rich fruits on the delicate branches to fluctuate.

Only when Lady Lisandra gradually regained her calm and glared at him did Cowell retract that deliberately blatant gaze.

Yes, it was Cowell’s intention to do just that.

Only by continuously provoking Lady Lisandra’s mind was there any possibility for the negotiations to unfold.

Holding onto that principle, Cowell continued to raise the stakes, “Madam, let be frank; Great Sage Mitchell has made up his mind to give up the Mitchell District. However, whether he will cede it to Ravensmouth College or another qualified district-building force depends on whether you can et our conditions.”

After a pause, Cowell emphasized each word, “Our condition is simple, that is for Sage Link Grande to transfer into our Tower of the Great Sage Mitchell.”

Having dropped that statent, Cowell nodded to Link, flashed a friendly smile, and left with long strides.

Reaching the door of the eting hall, Cowell stopped, and without turning his head said, “Seven days. It’s been seven days since I proposed a eting to discuss with Sage Link Grande until you agreed to this request. So, I’m giving you seven days to think it over thoroughly.”

Now, only Link and Lady Lisandra were left in the eting room.

Their emotions differed, as did their thoughts.

Before long, Lady Lisandra completely cooled down, and looking at Link, who remained composed, she opened her mouth as if to say sothing but then swallowed the words back.

Her behavior just now was truly inappropriate.

It was not befitting of her status and strength as a level six True Spirit Wizard.

This was very odd.

She couldn’t determine by what ans Cowell Ludville had managed to stir her emotions.

Under shock, the outward expression of a person is a true reflection of their inner thoughts.

Lady Lisandra knew that Link had once studied to beco a True Spirit Wizard, and he was quite proficient.

Of course, she realized that the mont she heard Cowell’s condition, she had revealed her true thoughts.

That was, exchanging a Link Grande for Mitchell District seed an especially good deal.

As such, the atmosphere between them was quite stiff.

Link adhered to the principle of listening, observing, pondering more, and speaking less. He maintained his calm and showed no intention of initiating conversation.

Lady Lisandra, unable to swallow her pride, did not explain to Link that her earlier performance had been a reaction to Cowell’s ploy, even though she had ideas, she was not going to act on them rashly.

Well, this issue could not be clearly explained.

“You can go back on your own.”

Lady Lisandra, not one for affectedness, spoke with a neutral tone since the explanation was unclear.

“Hmm.”

Link nodded, stood up, and left.

He did not dawdle or reveal any of his thoughts.

“Sigh!”

Lady Lisandra sighed, and with a thought, teleported to Dean Frist’s office.

“Are you really moved by the idea?”

Dean Frist stood by the window, gazing towards the east.

The Tower of Great Sage Mitchell was in that direction.

“Hmm.”

Lady Lisandra did not conceal her feelings and answered candidly.

“I would be moved, too,” stated Dean Frist, as he turned around with certainty, “but we cannot accept this condition.”

“Why not?”

Lady Lisandra asked in a mild tone.

She just wanted to know what her brother thought, without necessarily intending to trade Link Grande for Mitchell District.

“For specific reasons, go and ask Grandfather,” replied Dean Frist without explaining further as he teleported away, leaving behind only one sentence.

“Link Grande is more valuable than Mitchell District.”
