The pages flipped at an unimaginably fast speed, Silvanus’s eyes wide open, barely blinking even once. The ti fra beside him continued to tick away; it seed long, yet in reality, only a little over three minutes had passed.
Silvanus’s eyelashes trembled nonstop, like butterfly wings struggling in a storm. Behind him ca waves of grotesquely wet, unsettling sounds—like countless tiny snakes slithering across a frozen surface, constantly drawing closer to him. They dragged along chilling gusts of wind that brushed against the back of his neck, making his body shudder uncontrollably by instinct.
The cold seeped deep inside, as if even his bones were freezing over. His entire body felt trapped in an icy cellar. Yet this cellar carried the heavy stench of earth—thick, foul, damp—but that stench was not the sll of fresh blood.
Sothing... was already very close to him... and he hadn’t even heard the sound of a door opening.
"Thud!"
At last, he snapped the diary shut and turned around. Instantly, the appearance of the female ghost slamd into his vision. It was an existence... so disgusting it was nearly impossible to describe.
Her body was so tall that her head nearly touched the ceiling, though she remained hunched over at all tis.
One couldn’t clearly see her form, as her long, tangled hair flooded the entire room, obscuring everything. The arm exposed outside was so withered that only a layer of blackened, dried skin clung to bones that stretched all the way to the ground, ending in sharp claws capable of piercing through three people at once.
She kept her head lowered, her long hair covering her entire face, revealing only a torn, gaping mouth. A black, viscous fluid mixed with maggots and dirt continuously dripped onto the floor, like a corpse still undergoing decay. Even without seeing her full face, it wasn’t hard to imagine just how grotesquely distorted it had beco.
[Holy—holy—holy—holy!!!!]
[I wish I were blind]
[I know ghosts are never pretty, but this thing is seriously making nauseous!]
[Hurry up and eat Silvanus so we can cut to the next scene]
[The only reason I’m still here is to see Silvanus cry, hahaha]
[I really want to mock him, but thinking about how comnts are disabled... yeah, Silvanus should just die]
[Artists who look down on viewers should just die]
If Silvanus could read these comnts right now, he would probably protest in silence. These viewers never stopped to reflect on themselves, and besides, he didn’t feel like he had done anything that could be called looking down on them.
But at this mont, he could only stare wide-eyed, as if stunned, at the bizarre creature before him.
She opened her mouth wide. Yet before she could take another step forward to further terrify him, the young man in front of her suddenly lunged ahead. It was as if he saw nothing abnormal—nothing of the room filled with hair, layers upon layers surging upward like a flood, nothing of that grotesque mouth stretched wide enough to swallow his head in a single bite. He simply rushed forward and threw his arms around the creature before him.
Though his embrace seed far too small, he still spread his arms as wide as he could, using all the strength he had, to the point that he was almost swallowed by the ever-rising mass of hair.
The stench of earth and decaying flesh surged straight to his brain, yet Silvanus didn’t sll it at all.
This sudden turn of events caused even the constantly surging hair to halt. Ti seed to freeze for a brief instant. The female ghost appeared sowhat puzzled; she couldn’t help but tilt her head slightly before lowering it. Only then did she notice Silvanus’s back trembling nonstop, and at the sa ti, the sound of quiet sobbing continued to echo.
The young man who had always been so quick to cry now seed intent on using tears to solve everything once again.
Of course... that was rely how the viewers saw it.
[No way, is he seriously about to cry and beg the female ghost?]
[Isn’t there a better way than this?]
[LMAO, first ti I’ve seen soone like this]
[I thought he refused to cry and beg anyone]
[Whatever, just die quickly]
[Does he really not understand what he’s facing?]
[But honestly, being able to get this close to that female ghost... that’s kind of impressive]
At that mont, Silvanus suddenly lifted his head, instantly facing the female ghost’s fully revealed face as she lowered it.
Only then did he see that her nose was gone, making her face almost flat. Her eyes were nothing but hollow cavities, filled with writhing maggots. Even so, Silvanus could clearly feel her gaze fixed on him—like the scope of a gun, ready to pull the trigger at any mont.
Sothing fell from above. Imdiately, Silvanus felt a slight tickle on his cheek—a sticky sensation, like a drill boring into his flesh.
A maggot had fallen onto his cheek. Whether it was his imagination or not, he could even feel pain, as if the maggot had begun gnawing into the fertile ground beneath it.
[That’s seriously disgusting!!!]
[It’s fine, let lick it off for him]
[...]
[What the hell just slipped into the comnts, get out]
[Co on, I’m really just a chicken]
[Yeah, I’m a chicken too, I swear I only did it to fill my stomach]
[He didn’t even scream... he’s got so nerve, what a pity]
[F]
Just as the viewers focused intently, waiting for Silvanus’s reaction—and as the female ghost’s head lowered closer and closer—
Silvanus suddenly narrowed his eyes... and then, he smiled.
The corners of his eyes curved slightly upward, the faint puffiness beneath them making his expression look genuinely joyful, without a trace of falseness. It was as if countless fragnts of light overflowed from his eyes because of that sudden smile, turning into tears that gathered on his cheeks, still streaming down like precious diamonds. His lips curved—not exaggerated, just a simple, contented smile, as though he had finally found sothing he had long lost.
The comnts fell silent for a mont. Even the female ghost stopped lowering her head, tilting it slightly, seemingly puzzled by Silvanus’s reaction.
At that mont, Silvanus suddenly lunged forward again, tightly embracing her once more. His voice was soft, almost like a whisper, yet in the cold and silent space, it sounded clearer than ever before.
"Finally... I’ve found you again. That’s wonderful, Daisy."
