A quiet bar is, as the na suggests, a more serene type of drinking establishnt. The clientele consists mainly of the city’s white-collar professionals. They co here because they can’t stand the noisy environnt of a typical bar but still need a place to gather for drinks after work. Quiet bars were created to fill this very niche.

Unfortunately, the current economic climate is bleak. Many white-collar workers are also strapped for cash and can no longer afford their once-dignified, upscale lifestyle. As a result, the quiet bars that cater specifically to them aren’t doing too well.

Yang Xintian was quite familiar with the proprietress, so she received a warm welco the mont she walked in.

"Tian Tian, you haven’t been here in a long ti! What can I get for you tonight?"

The proprietress was in her thirties, voluptuous and seductive, her charms still very much intact. She had big curls in her red hair and her lips were painted a vibrant red. On her feet, clad in black nylons, was a pair of enticing red high heels. She sauntered over, holding two bottles of foreign liquor that Yang Xintian had ordered and a few wine glasses. She personally opened the bottles for the two of them and filled their glasses.

"And who might this handso gentleman be?" she asked, her crimson lips slightly parted.

"Sister Manman, this is my Uncle Sun. My parents are really strict these days. They wouldn’t have let out this late at night unless I brought a guardian with ," Yang Xintian griped about her parents.

She then clinked glasses with the proprietress.

After taking a sip of her wine, the proprietress covered her mouth and giggled. "Such a young uncle, huh?"

"Hello, I’m Wang Manman, the owner of this quiet bar," she introduced herself.

Sun Dasheng raised his glass in response. "Hello. Sun Dasheng. I’m Yang Xintian’s uncle."

"I’m so envious that Tian Tian has such a young and handso uncle. Please, enjoy your drinks. I won’t disturb you any longer." Twisting her serpentine waist, she sauntered away.

"So, what do you think? Hot, isn’t she?" Yang Xintian’s words almost made Sun Dasheng spit out his drink.

"Is that any way to talk?" He shot the girl a look.

"Hehe... Even though she’s married, it’s no different than being a widow. Her husband is paralyzed and bedridden, they have a young daughter at ho, and the entire family depends on her to make ends et."

"That does sound tough... wait, why are you telling all this?" Sun Dasheng glared at her with annoyance.

"Uncle Sun, don’t rich n like you enjoy helping poor, pitiful won? I thought maybe you could help her," Yang Xintian said, suddenly dropping her rebellious-girl persona for that of a sweet, obedient one as she took the initiative to pour him more wine.

"There are countless pitiful won in this world. How many can one man possibly save?" He refused her fawning.

Sun Dasheng poured himself another drink.

An unsolicited offer of kindness is either a scam or a setup.

Before long, two familiar figures walked in—it was the pair of siblings.

Now things are getting interesting. This little brat definitely didn’t pick this place at random. So she was waiting for soone after all.

Faced with Sun Dasheng’s knowing gaze, Yang Xintian didn’t bother to hide it, admitting bluntly, "Zi Xuan and her brother co here all the ti. I ca here specifically to block her, so what?"

"Nothing at all. As long as you’re happy. Just rember to be ho before midnight," Sun Dasheng shrugged, taking a sip of his drink.

Soon after, Yang Xintian stealthily took her glass and slipped over to their table. It wasn’t long before she returned, her face pulled into a long, sullen expression.

"What happened? Did her brother send you packing?" Sun Dasheng chuckled.

Yang Xintian pouted with disdain. "After being rejected by the girl he was chasing, he blad it all on . Uncle Sun, you tell , is there any justice in this world?"

Sun Dasheng watched her dejected expression, sowhat amused.

Well, it actually does have a little sothing to do with you, although not much. However, if you hadn’t dragged along with you, he probably could have kept simping for a few more days.

"Rejected and wounded, he ca here to heal. It’s your own fault for walking into the line of fire," Sun Dasheng said.

"Hmph! Heal his wounds? My ass! n are all trash. He’s already turned his attention to another woman," Yang Xintian scoffed.
