Luckily, Cliff didn’t want to spend too much ti with her, as they had argued earlier. Once Cliff had left the apartnt, Edith breathed a sigh of relief, cradling her anxious daughter in her arms. Edith imagined how terrified Eliana must have been to face such a villain, but she tried to hold it in so that her eting with Cliff would go smoothly.

"My daughter, now you don’t have to be afraid anymore."

"Mom, can we live with Dad now?" Eliana sighed heavily. "I really miss playing with Dad on the holidays. Uncle Cliff was so scary earlier."

Edith smiled confidently, squatting down in front of her little daughter. "Of course. Your dad and I are fine now."

"Really? Can I visit Dad now?"

"But aren’t you afraid Uncle Cliff will see you playing with Dad? Uncle Cliff and your dad aren’t on good terms."

In fact, Edith likely doesn’t want her twins to visit Callum, who is currently recovering. She’s worried that her twins will worry their father unduly. Therefore, she’s also considering other ways to prevent them from seeing their father for the ti being.

"Eliana, you can play with your father when he has free ti. He’s very busy for now."

"But, does dad miss that much?"

"Of course. Your father misses Eliana, Erdin, and very much."

"I’ll listen to what you say, Mom. But are you really going to marry Uncle Cliff instead of Dad?"

"My daughter, I can swear that I will marry your father because I love him so much."

A few minutes later, Renata returned to the apartnt with Erdin, who was eating ice cream. Seeing Renata buy Erdin ice cream made Eliana pout. She really wanted soone to buy her ice cream.

"Auntie, I want ice cream too!"

Renata laughed awkwardly as she handed him the ice cream, still wrapped in plastic. "Actually, I bought you so ice cream too. But it looks like it’s starting to lt."

"It’s okay, Auntie! I want to eat that ice cream."

After giving the ice cream she bought to Eliana, Renata imdiately pulled Edith’s hand towards the corner of the room so that their conversation wouldn’t be heard by the twins.

"Edith, are you sure you want to live separately from Callum?"

"This is the only way I can save Callum. Even though Callum and I are fine now, Cliff and his family mustn’t know about this."

"Actually, I feel sorry for your twins because they must be confused by your relationship now. Especially since Eliana must be devastated to see you marrying Cliff instead of her father."

"I already explained the real situation to her. I hope she truly understands what I ant. Even Eliana was scared when Cliff yelled at earlier."

"What? Cliff has really gone crazy!"

"So, for now I have to keep up the act until our wedding day."

"But, are you okay with having physical contact with him?"

"This is to ensure the success of my mission. My real goal in doing this is to find evidence of the accident Callum and I experienced five years ago."

anwhile, Callum was also discussing the sa thing with Patrick at his residence. It was nearing evening, but his beloved fiancée still hadn’t returned. Callum wasn’t too worried about his fiancée, having already been inford that the eting that afternoon had gone smoothly. It was just a little awkward.

Callum sat on the bed, staring at the clock. "That’s strange. Why isn’t Edith ho yet?"

"You’d better wait a little longer. Do you really want the mission to fail because you’re too spoiled?"

"Actually, if you wanted to take revenge directly, I could do it now. But I also don’t want to stand in the way of Edith taking revenge on her own terms."

"But, I’m actually still curious about Cliff. Why does he always show up at the right ti? Does he know you and Edith are back together?"

Callum rested his chin on his hand. "That’s why I’ve always had a hard ti guessing what he’s thinking."

Edith suddenly appeared, causing Callum to imdiately push Patrick away from her. Callum spread his arms wide and smiled sweetly at his fiancée.

"Edith, co here!"

Edith imdiately ran to her fiancé and hugged his muscular body tightly. "Do you still feel weak?"

"No. This is all thanks to you for taking care of with all your heart this morning."

"Ahem! My job is done now. May I leave you guys?" Patrick protested, staring at the ceiling.

"Thank you for looking after my fiancé, Patrick."

"It seems like Callum has a lot to say. This conversation is going to take a long ti."

Once Patrick had left the residence, Edith resud caring for her fiancé. She wiped Callum’s sweat-covered face with a small towel soaked in warm water.

"How are our twins doing?"

"Actually, Eliana really misses you. She keeps whining about wanting to play with you."

"This is all because my family wants to destroy our relationship! I miss my daughter so much too!"

"Actually, Cliff ca to earlier because he was talking about the venue he had chosen for this engagent party and discussing the matter of clothes."

"So, you’re going to make clothes for him?"

Edith laughed mischievously, slowly wiping her lover’s neck. "No. Why would I bother making clothes for an evil man? He even had the nerve to yell at in front of Eliana."

"What?!" Callum shouted with a glare.

"Co on, you shouldn’t overdo it. I’ve been patient with him. In the end, he gave in to my wishes."

"Do I need to go to his office tomorrow and beat him up again?"

"No need. You should just focus on your relationship with Arabella. I don’t want to ruin your plans just to take advantage of Arabella."

Callum frowned and rested his chin on his hand. "Actually, I’m still curious about them. Why do they suddenly want to marry partners they don’t like?"

"Cliff is definitely because he wants our twins."

"Then what about Arabella? Her intentions are still unclear."
