Edith and Callum held back laughter as their friends’ relationship blossod rapidly due to this accident. They were now quite relieved to no longer have to worry about their relationship seeming more like lovers. However, Edith was increasingly terrified at the thought of her psychopathic ex-fiancé killing his own allies for his own selfish ends. She was incredibly grateful to have Callum in her life, as he was the only one who truly cared for her.

anwhile, Callum laughed softly as he looked at his fiancée who was staring at him in adoration. "Edith, why do you keep looking at ?"

"I was wondering what it would be like if the man next to right now were Cliff. Would I have the sa bad luck as Arabella or not?"

Callum imdiately embraced his fiancée’s slender body tightly. "I’ve always known that man wouldn’t always be nice. One day, he’ll take off his mask when he gets what he wants."

For a mont, Edith glanced back at her friend, who still looked tired, but deliberately flashed a cheerful smile to appear strong. If she were Arabella, she would have done the sa. Faking a smile so the man she loved wouldn’t worry her too much. Edith could hardly imagine Arabella’s pain, betrayed by her own ally, and even nearly threatened with death. If Jas hadn’t taken the initiative to spy on Arabella, they wouldn’t be able to smile now.

"Arabella, thank you for risking your life for ."

Arabella looked away nervously, holding her ex’s hand. "I did it because I wanted revenge, too. What’s certain is that Jas and I have now succeeded in rendering Cliff incapable of doing anything."

"Anyway, Callum and I don’t want to bother you anymore." Edith got up from the sofa, holding her fiancé’s hand. "You should get so rest, Arabella. You’re probably still in shock from what happened earlier."

"It’s okay. I’m fine now thanks to Jas being there for ."

Since Arabella’s accident happened suddenly in the middle of a romantic dinner, Edith has been a little traumatized by Cliff’s presence, as she always thought he was a very kind man and would never kill soone. Even though it was already midnight, Edith still couldn’t sleep, tossing and turning, waking Callum.

"Sorry, I didn’t an to wake you."

Callum shook his head, gently stroking his lover’s head. "You can’t sleep because you’re thinking about Cliff?"

"Actually, I’m just afraid of that man, who doesn’t hesitate to hurt won with violence. If I actually married him and he treated our twins cruelly, I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to kill him."

"That’s why I’ve always told you not to. Why did you trust that man so easily when I’m your fiancé?" His lips curled into a pout for a mont. "Even though I’ve been the father of your twins from the start."

Edith touched her fiancé’s chin with an intense gaze. "The father of my twins is too handso. I’d be like a foolish girl wasting a handso man who keeps pursuing ."

"But, I’m actually curious about Cliff. Why are there two won who want to pursue him when I’m more handso than him?"

"But, those two won have now betrayed him because they know his true personality. Furthermore, Yvette is now chasing Cliff."

"I’m curious. How will Yvette react when she finds out her boyfriend is in prison?"

A week later...

Now Callum and Edith are focused on finding evidence of cris committed by both families. To find evidence, Callum is forced to remain on his father’s side, especially since Cliff was arrested for the attempted murder of Arabella, and now Cliff has completely lost his position in the company. Callum, who controls King’s Group with his stepfamily, thanks to Callum’s increasingly astute managent skills.

Edith also didn’t want to lose out to Callum, as their relationship with Yvette was now quite close. Whenever Yvette asked to et, she always went, despite Yvette’s constant protests that Callum wasn’t with her. This ti, Edith invited Callum along to test Yvette’s reaction.

Edith and Callum sat next to each other, while Yvette sat across from them in Yvette’s study.

"Callum, I didn’t expect you to et when you’re busy."

Callum smiled shyly as he looked at his fiancée with beaming eyes. "Actually, my fiancée forced to. Every ti you guys wanted to et, I was always busy. My fiancée got mad at for making seem arrogant."

Yvette shook her head quickly. "Actually, I don’t mind you not coming. In fact, I feel embarrassed now for interrupting your ti."

"It’s okay. I’m not that busy right now. I wanted to see you too."

"?"

"Because you’re my sister-in-law. Edith and I are getting married soon. Shouldn’t you and I be on good terms?"

Callum had expected Yvette to be flirtatious around him. Yvette brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I should have approved of your relationship from the start. Instead, I was the one who forced Edith to marry Cliff. Reading the news now makes so scared."

"It’s okay. The important thing is that you support our marriage." Edith deliberately put her arm around her fiancé’s shoulder affectionately, making Yvette even more jealous.

"By the way, I just found out Arabella is pregnant. I wonder whose child it is?"

"I heard the baby is Cliff’s."

Yvette’s eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. "Really? So Cliff killed his own child?"

Edith nodded. "That’s why I didn’t want to marry him from the start, because I knew he had a terrible personality. Luckily, I’ve never been treated like that."

Deep down, Yvette wanted Edith to be the victim, but soone else took her place, making her unable to contain her anger. If Callum hadn’t co to her, she would have hurt her stepsister in every way possible.

"I feel sorry for Arabella for losing her child. She must still be stressed now."

"From what I hear, she doesn’t want anyone bothering her right now. I’m not even allowed to visit her," Callum said with a weary look.

"Oh yeah, Callum! Can I talk to you for a minute after this?"
