Closing her eyes wearily, Xifeng quietly waited for the mont when her consciousness would dissipate. In what little ti remained, her mood was very peaceful.

Suddenly, a warm sensation surged from her heart throughout her entire body, particularly noticeable against the backdrop of her body's complete coldness, causing Xifeng's consciousness to clear considerably.

This warmth was like the only ray of dawn light—Xifeng, like a drowning person, desperately grasped onto this only thing she could hold onto.

Even her physical condition seed to improve significantly. Xifeng opened her eyes in confusion and asked quietly: "This is..."

But the scene before her eyes left Xifeng completely stunned.

She saw Bei Yaoyue looking deathly pale as if she had suffered a serious illness, but her face bore a reassuring smile.

"So you've been enduring this kind of pain for an entire day..." Bei Yaoyue gently caressed Xifeng's cold cheek, her voice mixed with irrepressible heartache.

If possible, how much she wished the person lying there wasn't Xifeng, but herself.

If possible, how much she wished the person suffering this pain wasn't Xifeng, but herself.

When Bei Yaoyue caressed her cheek, she seed to feel her own fingers touching sothing smooth and delicate. Looking at Bei Yaoyue's expression and feeling that sowhat incongruous warmth, Xifeng seed to guess sothing. Her eyes trembled violently in disbelief.

This obviously exceeded the realm of common sense. As far as Xifeng knew, the only things that transcended common knowledge besides herself as a vampire was that system.

And coincidentally, her system happened to have an item with exactly this effect.

"[Sacred Khala]

Grade: Epic

Description: A strange item from the distant Protoss race, also known as 'F2'.

Effect: Consumable item, select target to use. After use, the two will share all sensations for two hours."

"Sacred Khala...?" Xifeng's expression was complex, and several question marks appeared in her mind simultaneously. Why did Bei Yaoyue have her system? And when did she start having it?

"I have no way to eliminate your pain, and no way to share your burden, so at least..."

Bei Yaoyue's cherry-colored lips curved into a gentle arc. Her azure eyes, deep as the sky, rippled with brilliant light as she stared intently at the white-haired loli before her, as if wanting to carve her image into her soul.

"Let bear this pain together with you."

"..."

Xifeng was stunned. Bei Yaoyue's words were like a sharp spear that easily pierced through the psychological barriers she had painstakingly built, shattering them instantly into fragnts, collapsing like a building under controlled demolition.

If soone had opened the system at this mont, they would have seen that affection level stuck at 79, which hadn't grown for so long, quietly break through the 80 barrier and rise to as high as 90 within seconds. But obviously, neither of them had ti to pay attention to such things.

As that saying goes, the person who will make you rember for a lifeti isn't the one who lives extravagantly with you during your glory days, but the one who quietly accompanies you through difficulties during your most destitute tis.

In that instant, Xifeng finally awakened from a dream, and endless regret flooded into her mind.

She had always thought her rejection of Bei Yaoyue was for Bei Yaoyue's own good. She had always thought Bei Yaoyue was constantly doing wrong things. She had always thought...

But now she finally understood that the one who was truly wrong was herself, and absurdly so.

Bei Yaoyue had already cast aside all concerns, yet she was still constantly being pretentious.

Fuck the secular world! Fuck ethics and morality!

If there really was soone willing to give everything for you, then as long as you were with her, what in this world was there to fear?

If gods obstructed, then slay the gods; if demons obstructed, then slaughter the demons!

Even if it ant betraying the entire world, even if it ant being enemies with the whole world, Xifeng would never frown again.

In a trance, that classic line appeared in Xifeng's mind, and this line perfectly expressed what she was thinking.

"Once, there was a sincere love placed before , but I didn't cherish it. When I lost it, I regretted it deeply. There is no greater pain in the mortal world than this.

"If Heaven could give another chance, I would say three words to that girl: I love you.

"If I must add a ti limit to this love, I hope it would be... ten thousand years!"

But... there was no chance left, was there?

Xifeng laughed mockingly to herself. She never expected it would end like this—it was truly... quite laughable.

"I have an idea, I just don't know if it will work."

"...What idea?" Xifeng struggled to open her eyes, though she no longer held much hope and was only asking symbolically.

"Wait for ."

Leaving these words behind, Bei Yaoyue turned and left the room. The cold sensation and stiff limbs shared from Xifeng's side made her movents less graceful, and the explosive headache made her want to cry out in pain.

Fortunately, Bei Yaoyue's sensitivity to pain wasn't as high as Xifeng's, so this headache was at least within tolerable limits.

When Bei Yaoyue returned, she had a sharp fruit knife in her hand.

Looking at that fruit knife, Xifeng rembered that when she had just transford from Jiang Feng to Xifeng, she had used this very knife to attempt suicide. But what did Bei Yaoyue want to do with this fruit knife now?

"What are you going to do?" Xifeng asked quietly with half-open eyes.

"If I must guess a thod that could restore you to normal..." Bei Yaoyue slowly walked to the bedside and knelt on the floor beside the bed, "it would be blood."

Before Xifeng could carefully consider the aning of these words, Bei Yaoyue raised the fruit knife in her right hand and suddenly slashed across the back of her left hand.

"Slash!"

The quiet room was filled with the sound of flesh being cut by a sharp blade, followed by several drops of scalding liquid falling onto Xifeng's cheek.

"Co, open your mouth." Smiling gently, Bei Yaoyue brought the back of her hand to Xifeng's lips, letting the blood flowing from the wound drip directly into her mouth. "Drink this blood, and your body might recover... no, it will definitely recover."

This was the only thod that might have so effect that she could think of after racking her brains—it could even be called a non-thod thod.

She figured that since Xifeng was a vampire, if she could absorb enough blood, perhaps her body could quickly recover to health.

Ti was urgent—even being slightly late might cause irreversible consequences. Therefore, Bei Yaoyue almost instantly decided to use her own blood rather than search for other substitute blood sources.

Even if hope was slim, she was willing to try.

Considering that Xifeng had obviously lost the ability to actively draw blood, she could only use this clumsy thod to provide blood for Xifeng.

"Bei Yaoyue!" Seeing Bei Yaoyue's self-harming behavior, Xifeng let out a weak but shocked cry, "Are you crazy?"

The fresh blood dripping into her mouth carried Bei Yaoyue's burning body temperature, bringing so warmth to her cold body and planting seeds of warmth in her heart.

Since the two were currently sharing sensations, the cutting pain from the back of her hand also fed back to Xifeng's central nervous system. Looking at that three-centiter gash on Bei Yaoyue's hand, she felt her heart being cut by knives.

A drop of crimson fresh blood fell from the tip of the fruit knife in Bei Yaoyue's hand, splashing a brilliant blood flower on her white dress.
