Titan found his way without facing any hindrance. So tis when he ran into so spirit beasts, he’d take on his beast form and pass by them without being suspected and just like that, Fourteen days went by and the sea was now as close as a breathe away.
He decided to rest for a while. He found a cave and made himself comfortable before taking out the spirit stone. He had talked to the spirits inside for a long long ti and now, he couldn’t go a day without picking out their stone to talk.
"We are only a few hours away from the sea." He said with a hiss and the the spirits inside his pouch were delighted. Thankfully, Titan had a cold temperature and this helped those spirit stones to maintain their spirit liquid without it evaporating or draining away easily.
What about you? You said you also have a mate.." Ray asked.
Yes. I do and she’s the most beautiful female in this whole world." Titan had an air of pride when he begun to talk about Sydney.
How co you are out here for this long. Don’t you fear that she’ll forget you?" Kevin teased.
Haha...that will never happen. What I learnt from staying by my mates side, if she loves you...."
She’ll do so without reservations." Titan, Ray and Kevin spoke at the sa ti.
Huh?" Titan was surprised. Those words were told to her by Sydney herself, how co these beast spirits know them too? Did your mate teach you the sa words?" He asked.
She did." Ray replied softly.
Titan was no curious. How co there were such coincidences? When he listened to these spirits talk about their mate, it was like they were talking about his Sydney but he had greatly rejected this bizarre idea in his mind. "What’s your mate’s na?" He asked.
It’s Sydney." Ray replied his voice full of joy even just saying it.
Titan froze and he almost dropped the spirit stone.
This was too much of a coincidence isn’t it!!!
He swallowed hard. How...how does she look like?" He asked his voice shaking like a leaf against a storm.
Fla red hair, forest green eyes and crystal like skin." Kevin replied.
Titan looked at the spirit stone and his hand that held it clenched the stone disappearing into his palm.
Hehe..." He laughed maniacally. You say...my mate is your mate?" He asked the spirits inside the stone.
Infact, Ray and Kevin already noticed the change in attitude. Although they had agreed to go about this matter easily before and had waited till they had developed a sense of familiarity with him before they disclosed this matter, they didn’t expect him to respond this way.
Right now, with how tight the grip on tje stone where they resided was, it wouldn’t shock them to be crushed. Though not to death, with how far they were away from the spirit pond, death was their only option left.
What did you do to ? How do you know of Sydney?" Titan asked coldly his grip tightening. He found it unreasonable. How could they know things he only talked about with Sydney and also know how she looked like and her na!! The only answer that ca to his mind was that they had done sothing to him while he was unaware and obtained his mories. And if you think of lying to I swear I’ll kill you and you’ll regret ever coming over to follow ." He said coldly.
Crack...."
A crisp sound of the stone cracking could be heard.
Hey!!! Kevin scread. Don’t act hastily!!! We aren’t lying to you and we didn’t do anything to you either!!! What we speak is rhe truth!!! Our mate from before is called Sydney and she’s as we’ve told you. Infact, when you just fell into our pond, we sensed a strong scent of her from you and that’s why we chose to leave with you!!! When we slt her scent on you, it told us that you must also be her mate! Depending on what happened to our other friend, do you think we’d dare walk out of that pond without thinking it through? And I an, we are only spirits, helpless against you, why would you think we have any ulterior motives? We are truly her mates and we even have cubs and nestlings with her! We also have a daughter and her na is Lilly! Her first mate was Ash then followed by Enzo, Greg, , Ray, Shawn and others!!!" Kevin spoke his voice rising a few notches higher. That was because the crack in the stone kept spreading dangerous and they had to move their friend to a safer place within the stone lest he dies!!
Titan stopped trying to crack the stone upon hearing those familiar nas.
Hey do sothing!! Move us into another spirit stone or else we won’t be able to make it in this one. You have crashed it!!" Ray said in alarm.
Titan unfolded his palm and placed the stone back into his pouch.
Ray and Kevin carried their friend and moved him into another spirit stone that wasn’t damaged. They only managed to relax once they were in a better place.
Such harsh temper!!!" Kevin groaned.
That’s why I beat up all snake beasts that ried to get close to her in the past! They are utterly detestable!!!" Ray added.
Mm, I’m sure he’s the least liked!!!" Kevin grumbled bitterly.
Agree." Ray nodded his head, his mane shaking along.
Titan remained silent in the cave trying to digest this new information. He was Indeed tempted to kill these spirits but what if...just what if what they were saying was true?! How would he look Sydney in the eyes?! He chose to rush back as soon as possible and if he learnt that they were lying to him, he’d eat them!!!
He didn’t rest long and imdiately set off to the sea but he was not even a few hundreds of ters there when he spotted a red figure hovering over the beach. He ducked into a shrub imdiately and concealed himself as much as possible!!?
Shit!!! That fire breather was actually here!!! Did he know that he would try to leave and hence co here to try and snatch him again?!!
Titan felt the need to bite soone.
He looked into the skies and saw Red fly one round along the coast before he disappeared off into the distance and just when he thought of charging forward to dive into the sea, Red’s figure returned right away.
Titan remained hidden. He had to be calculative he wanted to leave this place. He stayed patiently in his spot and observed keenly.
With every few minutes, Red’s figure would flash by then disappear. The ti wasn’t enough for Titan to cross over to the sea and if he dared jump out, it wouldn’t take long before he would be snatched and if he fell into Red’s claws, his chances of escape would be low. Pitifully low!!!!
He waited on with battered breathes.
One day, two days, five days...ten days!!!!
Red didn’t even go to hunt and his attention was on the coast that wasn’t so wide. It was just enough for him to traverse easily.
However, like the gods were on Titan’s side, a few other spotted the red dragon and imdiately flocked over to his side to ambush him.
Red smirked at them without Tue least hint of fear or worry in his eyes.
You wish to challenge ? I don’t think you are that capable!!!" He sneered looking down deeply in the hundreds of spirit beasts looking up at him even a few flying spirit beasts were at a distance.
Regardless of how formidable you are, you kind no longer traverses these skies without hiding like the cowards you are! Your only advantage is the fire you have but without that, you are only rely snakes with legs." Another spirit beast sneered with contempt.
So what if they were strong?! They were in hiding for so long that they were even forgotten!!!
Red smiled. Those words hurt but they were the truth and they as dragons had one important lesson to understand in their lifetis and that was to accept their hard reality and learn from it. For sure, one day, they’d once again rule the skies and these lands just like in the past!!!
and you have no common topic of discussion. Why don’t we just fight it out ajd if I beat you, well, you die." He said with a laugh and took in a deep breath.
He then blew out flaming hot fires at the spirit beasts below.
The place fell into chaos.
Now!!!
Titan wasn’t the least interested in their fights and he imdiately shot out to reach the sea.
Red caught his figure and cursed.
Damnit!!" He broke through the siege of those beasts that had surrounded him but when they also caught the figure dashing off into the sea, they changed their target and went after Titan like crazed beasts.
If that snake survived, the fire breathers clan was bound to be revived.
