[Eagle Tribe]
Inside the dungeons located deep in the Eagle tribe, a bloodied figure lay behind the thick iron bars with two Eagle beastn standing guard outside the jail cell.
A soft click of boots was heard entering the dungeon which was followed by the opening of the door leading to that particular room. Alice looked down at the beastman on the ground with a scowl on her face and eyes filled with nothing but disdain, "You deserve this after what you did to ’’ there was so much anger in her voice as she glared at the figure on the ground. He was nothing but an aid.....So how dare he go against her? Then again, Kyrell was the one to be blad for not disciplining those who worked under him well. The ones serving them must be dealt with harshly in order to show them their places or they will do sothing ridiculous like this. The thing that happend to her made her boil in fury.
That made her look at the newest gained mating mark on her shoulder, "Dagger!’’ she yelled to the one behind her while stretching her hand out.
The one that received Alice’s request worriedly looked at the forr while hesitating, "Alice, must you really do this? This will do nothing but hurt you...so please’’ Slap! His words ca to a halt when he felt a sharp hit on his face. This was nothing new to him as one of Alice’s mates. His mate scolded and hit them whenever she felt displeased. And when she felt upset, it was mandatory that they lay low while she calms down. Blaine too wanted nothing but to stay silent just like he always did in order to not get on his mate’s bad side. However, he could not do that when sothing horrible was happening right in front of his eyes.
King Kyrell’s aid, Nathan, the one who slept with his mate by tricking her was now lying on the cold ground with wounds and blood all over his body. The night Alice tried to force herself on King Kyrell, the latter’s aid switched the king with himself deceiving Alice into sleeping with him. And as expected, this made his mate furious which resulted in Nathan being thrown into the dungeon after receiving a harsh beating from all of Alice’s mates including himself.
The aid tricked her and she hit him to her heart’s content so why was she doing this? Alice was trying to remove Nathan’s mating mark and this did not sit well with Blaine. First, he did not want his mate to hurt herself by plunging a dagger in her body and next, he felt like Nathan didn’t deserve this. No one deserved sothing like this. A female removing the mating mark was every male’s nightmare and none wished for it to happen to themselves as well as to others.
"Know your place’’ a harsh voice snapped Blaine out of his thoughts and with that said, Alice turned her attention back to the one lying on the ground. Her rage seed to grow the more she looked at the bloodied bastard. If not for him, she would have beco the Queen of the Eagle tribe. Thinking about that, made her touch her bruised cheek. The one that bitch had hit. Alice would have ripped that wench if not for the repercussions that would follow. She never expected that bitch to talk back or slap her in return. Everything happened so suddenly and before she could even think, the Lion prince and that wretched mate of his had left the Eagle tribe.
Well, she could always take her revenge on that wench but for now, she shifted her attention to the most important thing. She has to get rid of this cursed mark before she goes mad. With that conviction, she turned back and snatched the dagger from Blaine’s hand before plunging it into her shoulder. She bit her lower lip drawing blood in order to control a yell that was threatening to leave her throat.
"Ugh’’ but soone other than her groaned in pain. Nathan felt like his body was being ripped apart and a burning sensation in his heart seed to consu him from the inside out. He strugglingly looked up and found Alice removing his mating mark, ’’Ah’’ that made everything clear. He didn’t mind this outco. This was better than getting used by Lady Alice to do her bidding in the future. He was sure that she would have used him to do sothing bad if he remained as her mate. And he never wanted anything to do with this evil female even if that ant for him to beco a stray beast. Nathan could never forgive her for trying to corrupt his king. How could he dare to face his king if what Lady Alice planned really transpired? King Kyrell would not have been alive if that occurred.
Amidst all of these thoughts, his vision started to get blurry and the pain took over his senses making him slip into a deep slumber which made him rember the things that happened before he ended up in the dungeon.

{A Few days ago in the Eagle tribe}
Nathan was feeling anxious about the weird things happening around him. The eagle castle was slowly being filled with beastn from outside that seed very close to Lady Alice and the elders that supported her. There were many that were dissatisfied with Lady Lyra and wanted Lady Alice to replace her as the Queen of their tribe.
The only aspect that held them back from voicing this opinion was because of King Kyrell. The king was deeply taken by Lady Lyra and that made them reluctant in saying anything bad about her. However, this ended when the king returned injured from the Fox banquet. Everyone that disliked Lady Lyra took this chance in bringing Lady Alice back to the tribe. There was also an important reason for bringing Alice into this particular matter. The only people his majesty was close to before he beca the King were, his best friend Noel and the latter’s little sister Alice. Maybe that was also why his majesty never questioned Lady Alice about anything she did and sent her out of the tribe to keep her safe from the late Eagle King.
That said, there was no one that dared to go against her or her decisions which included Nathan himself. But sothing was wrong, there was a sche that was happening inside the tribe that he didn’t know of. The king was still laying unconscious in the bed and Nathan had no power without him.
He was just about to go to the King’s chamber to check on him but stopped around the corridor when he saw a few unfamiliar beastn walking inside the King’s room while holding sothing suspicious in their hands. Soon he recognized the beastn. They were so of Lady Alice’s mates, "Why are they going inside his majesty’s room?’’ he muttered to himself while masking his presence as he hid.
His curiosity didn’t last long because he caught sight of thick white smoke coming out of the King’s room which was followed by Lady Alice’s mates rushing out of the room as they held an article of clothing against their noses. Then they closed the room’s door stopping the smoke from coming out.
Nathan felt his anger rise. What the hell were they trying to do? That smoke.....It was sothing that would harm his king and he was sure of that. Without thinking further, he strode towards the room before opening the door.
A strong smoke hit his face as soon as he stepped inside. He didn’t know what it was but it was so potent that it made his eyes hazy and legs wobble. He had a hard ti stopping himself from falling on his knees. With a lot of struggle, he reached the bed Where Kyrell was lying, "Your majesty?’’ he tried to wake him to no avail, and as a last resort, he propped Kyrell up from the bed before shouldering him. Then he dragged Kyrell out of the room before he settled the latter in one of the nearest rooms.
"I must go back’’ Nathan made a decision. He couldn’t leave the king’s room empty because whoever that was trying to harm the king would definitely try to find the latter and he should never let this happen. With a last glance at King Kyrell, he went out of his room before going towards the King’s room. He closed his eyes briefly before opening them and entering the room. As he inhaled more and more of the smoke, his body started to heat up. A sardonic laughter left his mouth, "So this was what she was trying to do. You owe one, Your majesty’’
The things after that were blurry to him. And when he woke up, Lady Alice scread at him before asking her mates to throw him into the dungeons.
