"Sweet girl!" Victor felt his entire world light up as soon as he saw his mate’s smiling face. He rushed towards her and picked her up from the ground as she coiled her arms around his neck. They hugged tightly shing their bodies closer as though not intending to separate from each other.
she snuggled closer and sought his warmth while saying, "I missed you..."
"I missed you too, sweet girl" Victor felt like he could finally breathe. Every day, minute, and second without her felt like such a chore to him. He couldn’t even properly recall his life before eting her. The only reason for him to live before her was for the sake of living. Nothing less or more. But now he has this precious being that equaled his heart and his entire life.
She pulled away slightly and traced his face with her eyes as though morizing all of his features. Then she leaned forward and kissed his plump lips feeling him smile through the kiss. She nipped his lower lip and caressed his insides with her tongue for a long ti only ending it when she felt out of breath.
Her eyes and cheeks were tinted red due to embarrassnt when she received a cheeky grin from him.
Victor playfully pecked her lips before taunting her, "You indeed missed " Just a mont ago he felt like shit when he slled Demir’s scent all over his mate. It was clear that they had mated and couldn’t help but feel bitter. No matter how much he convinced himself, it was not an easy task to share soone he loves with other n. But he also knew that it was not ideal for one to have a female to themselves. The beast world was absolutely not such a place. Here the survival rules were on the harsher side.
Coming back, he indeed felt bad initially when he slled Demir on his mate but not anymore. Seeing her yearning for him like this was enough to fill his heart.
On the other side, Demir chose to leave them alone not at all pleased seeing his mate being affectionate with that bird. The scorpion guards likewise exited that place following their prince.
Victor saw this and took the chance to take his mate toward the nearby table. Then he settled her on his lap as Lyra started to explain, "The thing that they used on us was fairy bane. Unlike others, I had difficult ti breathing and the one that saved was Kaizer"
"Kaizer?"
"You rember that wolf beastman that once ca to supposedly kidnap ?" he nodded and she confird, "He is the one. He not only saved from taking away from the fox tribe but also made sure to remove all of the toxin residues from . I’m safe now, thanks to him"
Victor observed his mate’s face as she continued to sing praises about this rootless beastman for saving her. He was thankful for that beastman and would return that favor in any way possible. But that was not the issue here. For that wolf beastman to go to such lengths for his mate...it felt odd and sowhat familiar.
Once again he pointedly gazed at his babbling beauty. She looked ethereal as always and he couldn’t help but ponder. ’Did she manage to capture that rootless beast’s heart?’ there was a huge possibility of that happening. His mate is wonderful after all.
However, that did not help in calming him down instead he felt more anxious than ever. For a rootless beastman to fancy his sweet girl....it felt eerie. He made a ntal note to discuss this with the others.
"Then the fox king took out of the forest and t Demir.....’’
"Wait," Victor said making her stop. Lyra looked at him in confusion as he asked with equal confusion written on his face, "The fox king rescued you?’’
She nodded, "He found when I was trying to escape...’’ suddenly she stooped talking when she looked at her mate’s face turning grim. He caressed her waist urging her to continue, "Go on, sweet girl. Tell what happened after that"
His voice sounded soothing and almost coddling but she could tell that it was only on the surface anwhile on the inside, he was seething. She knew her mate too well to not know this.
"Victor...." she started and then sighed, "Please don’t get angry"
"Sweet girl" Victor called in a chilling tone making her shudder, "Continue"
Lyra bit her lower lip and then took a deep breath before explaining, "Kaizer refused to let go from his cave, and when I defied him, he put a magical barrier stopping from going out. And the one that removed that barrier and took out of the forest was the fox king. Just after exiting the forest, we t Demir"
Victor clenched his jaw, "Do you by any chance like that black wolf?’’
Her eyes went wide, "What made you think like that?’’ she asked in a hurry, ’’Why would I like Kaizer?’’
"Then why were you trying to protect him?’’ he shot back.
"I wasn’t doing that, Victor’’ Lyra insisted, ’’I just don’t want an inevitable fight happening between you guys and him. I’m worried...He.....he seed too strong"
And Victor’s fierce expression softened as soon as he heard her words. He peppered kisses all over her face while saying, "I’m worried as well, sweet girl. That black wolf is a rootless beastman. He doesn’t deserve soone like you"
Lyra frowned as refuted, "But he seed nice"
"He would have taken you to us if he was that nice, so don’t even try to convince otherwise" Victor did not care about anything else. That wolf is rootless and that ans he has no chance with his sweet girl.
"I’m not going to take any more mates" Lyra mumbled but Victor heard, "n are such a headache"
He chuckled as he pecked her lips, "Oh, soone is angry" and when Lyra frowned, he grinned while teasing, "Look at her pouting"
"I’m not pouting!" Lyra huffed in anger trying to get away from his arms but his strength holding her only increased the more she struggled.
When she realized her struggle was futile, she stopped her movents and suddenly said, "I want to et the babies. I heard that they are in the snake tribe"
"Then let’s, go" Victor said getting up from his place together with her. And when he noticed her still sulking, he kissed her cheeks and asked, "Cease your anger, sweet girl. I love you"
Lyra smiled ever so lightly while muttering, "I love you too"
Then they went to find Demir and together they left the scorpion tribe.
