Chapter 1308: Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder
“Why? Did they request it?” Gu ngng frowned.
Sandy laughed. “They wouldn’t dare to make any requests. They have beco extrely obedient after you taught them a lesson that ti. But isn’t this the goal of the alliance? If we want to have the wolf tribe really support Hede and Jialue—I, as the face of the alliance, must give birth to a new generation for the wolves. Only then will the alliance really be fird up. In the future, if you and Lea and bear a daughter, just take one of my wolf sons as a partner... by then, Sauder would truly be united.”
Gu ngng didn’t reply to Sandy as she didn’t want to impose her own views on marriage upon her. But she knew that should her daughter want to get a partner soday, it would be soone she liked and not for the sake of so dumb alliance.
But Gu ngng was unable to tell Sandy this.
Sandy was gradually becoming more mature as she was taking on the responsibility that Gu ngng should have bore. This was because when Cole was scheming against Gu ngng, Sandy had prevented Collin, in his duty as the ssenger’s guard, from joining Elvis and the rest in the great battle against Sauder.
That bit of guilt had been festering inside her heart, and she was using every resource she had to try and make ands for it.
Gu ngng had told her repeatedly not to take it to heart and that she had never blad Sandy. But Sandy could not stop blaming herself. Whenever she failed to do sothing that she could have done for Gu ngng, Sandy would be endlessly tortured by an imasurable sense of guilt.
At the end of the day, she just cared too much for Gu ngng.
The males who had gone out hunting started returning when evening fell. Elvis was in a hurry to see Gu ngng again and was naturally the first to return.
He had the wild wolves deliver the hunted ga back to the stone castle while he went straight to Sandy’s to get Gu ngng.
Sandy’s seven partners followed close behind, and the eight wolves ca sprinting over in a grand and energetic manner.
By the ti he ca before Gu ngng, Elvis had already morphed into human form. He lifted her up into his arms and kissed her little face. “I missed you so much.”
Elvis said this every single ti he returned to her after he had been out hunting.
At first, Gu ngng felt he was being too mushy, but she was now used to it. Hence she hugged him back. “It has been hard on you. I missed you too.”
Sandy’s seven partners were all panting heavily when they finally ca to a stop. They were already pushing the boundaries of their physical limits, but the difference in speed between third and fourth-level beasts and the Beast King was just too great.
Even so, their eyes still glowed with excitent.
The stronger the king, the more powerful the tribe would be. And a male’s desire for power was endless.
Elvis was just about to carry Gu ngng off when he noticed a yellow figure galloping over. It ca to a screeching halt right in front of Sandy, kicking up a huge dust cloud.
Gu ngng smiled after realizing who it was.
“Hubby, let’s go ho.” Gu ngng patted Elvis on the shoulder.
Elvis replied, “We are not going over to greet Bode?”
Gu ngng smiled again. “The couple has been apart for so long and absence makes the heart grow fonder. Do you want to stay on and be a third wheel?”
“Absence makes the heart grow fonder?” Elvis didn’t understand.
Gu ngng whispered in Elvis’ ear, “If you have been away on business for over a month. What’s the first thing you would do when you return?”
