"Push her in," an evil-sounding female voice said, grating on the ears.
Si Yan only felt the voice was sowhat familiar. Before she could think further, she was shoved into the dark cave again.
Fear made her tremble. She saw a long, deep purple tail coil around her, and once again, she was wrapped in the center by that cold, scaly, deep purple serpent.
It tightened its grip, bit by bit, nearly strangling her.
"She’s dying," that repulsive female voice spoke again from outside. "It’s her turn to feed the snake. Let’s go."
The events that followed were sowhat familiar to Si Yan.
After all, this was only a dream, she thought. Who, when dreaming, consciously decides whether to continue an erotic dream or not? It wasn’t like I had any control over it anyway.
The huge serpent’s head swayed over. In a daze, Si Yan thought she saw its eyes.
Its dark purple eyes seed to possess a srizing magic, capable of drawing one deep within.
Its eyes... they look different from yesterday, Si Yan thought.
You... Si Yan wanted to speak, but it seed impossible.
The dream continued, every sensation identical to the dream from the night before.
It looks like a repeat performance, she mused, no longer bothering to resist.
[Female, where are you?]
Suddenly, a voice rang out in Si Yan’s mind.
...? Is this great snake talking to ???
This dream... it’s different?
Wait, this voice... it’s familiar!
She Wang?? The Great Demon King?!
Suddenly jolted alert, Si Yan began to struggle fiercely.
I refuse to have a Great Demon King in my dream! she thought fiercely.
However, her struggles were futile; the dream followed the exact sa course as the previous night.
[Where are you now?]
White Eagle City, she thought. But she couldn’t speak it out loud.
[White Eagle City?]
Wait a minute, did he hear ?!
She simply didn’t have ti to think about anything else.
Si Yan startled awake, her heart pounding. Coming to her senses, she clutched her head.
Twice. The sa dream, twice now.
Only this ti, the prelude was a bit longer. It seed a female had pushed her into so place.
Could my dream actually have its own logic?
But...
It’s strange. The content of the dream is the sa, but the feeling is different... as if... it’s a shared dream!
Suddenly, Si Yan’s face flushed red.
Dreaming alone is quite normal, but sharing a dream with a male—that would be exceedingly embarrassing!
The deep purple great Sen Ran awoke from its slumber. It leaned lazily against an old tree stump, flicking aside its long purple hair, and pressed a hand to its forehead.
He’d had that dream again—the second ti.
It was sothing he couldn’t understand or explain.
"Lord She Wang," Hu Hui said, handing him a damp Beast Skin. She Wang took it and wiped his face.
Hu Hui said with a smile, "Lord She Wang, your complexion is much better. Did you have a good sleep this ti?"
Their Lord She Wang, possessing unmatched, handso features, was recognized as the most beautiful male in the Eastern Forest. If any comparison were to be made, only the High Priest from White Eagle City could barely asure up.
His strength was even more formidable, his purple Beast Crystal gradually turning gold. He had dominated Dark Sun Lake for so many days that no one dared to speak loudly in his presence.
However, this seemingly perfect Lord She Wang had developed a problem with his body after his last advancent.
He was extrely prone to sleep; he could sleep constantly, even for several years straight.
Yet, he could never truly feel rested. Even when he woke, he remained lethargic.
His spiritual energy was like a funnel, replenishing on one side only to leak out from the other, never accumulating.
Lately, however, things had been strange. Hu Hui felt that Lord She Wang had sohow found a way to replenish his spiritual energy; he seed more spirited than before.
Especially yesterday, when he had actually remained awake for an entire day.
"Bring She Ying back," She Wang ordered.
Hu Hui imdiately asked, "Lord She Wang, why do you want She Ying to co back?"
"Prepare for a trip to White Eagle City," She Wang said, slowly rising to his feet.
"Are you taking ?" Hu Hui asked eagerly.
She Wang gave him a glance and walked forward with large strides.
Hu Hui imdiately wore an aggrieved expression, as if Lord She Wang had spurned him. "I understand now! You’ve grown tired of and are deliberately finding an excuse to send away! You’re calling that little flirt She Ying back. Your heart has changed!"
She Wang remained silent, not wanting to speak.
In White Eagle City, the three young Beastman serpent cubs were still very restrained.
Passing White Eagle Beastn shot ferocious gazes at the three younglings. The cubs ignored them, continuing to follow the Tiger Beastn from Black Tiger City and help with small tasks.
Si Yan stepped out of the cave and asked a passing Tiger Beastman, "Are we departing today?"
The Tiger Beastman shook his head. "The City Lord went to see the White Eagle City Lord. The schedule has changed; we’re not leaving today."
Si Yan nodded her head.
Bai Hong stumbled clumsily out of her nest.
Her stomach ached terribly. She didn’t know what to do, but she couldn’t just stay in the nest.
After flapping her wings a few tis, she tumbled to the ground, landing right in front of the three young serpent cubs who were outside.
Bai Hong lifted her head. Seeing the three four-year-old cubs, she reached out a hand to them and whispered weakly, "Help , please..."
When Si Yan returned to the cave, she saw her three serpent cubs dragging the large female inside.
"Mother!"
Si Yan was astonished. She already knew that serpent-folk and hawk-folk didn’t get along, yet her three cubs had actually dragged a Hawk Beastwoman back!
"Bring her into the cave," she said.
Si Yan set down the fruit she had gathered that morning and quickly went over to the White Eagle female, checking under her eyelids and examining her tongue.
"Mother, what’s wrong with her?" Bei Ji asked curiously, moving closer to look. Behind them, Xi Qing began picking up the fruit Si Yan had dropped.
Serpent-folk disliked hawk-folk. Frankly, the three cubs weren’t very concerned about whether this Hawk Beastwoman lived or died.
As for why they had brought the female back, it was probably because they all wanted to be good children in their mother’s eyes.
Si Yan replied, "Probably the worm disease."
"Worm disease?" Dongchi asked, observing the female. "Do we treat her?"
He continued, "Tch, a female. And in this state. Regardless of the species, females are scarce, and the White Eagle Clan has exceptionally few."
"Fortunately, the White Eagle Clan generally has a longer lifespan, and each female can give birth to quite a few offspring in one go, which is how they’ve barely maintained their population balance."
"Look at this female. Her clothes are made from the finest White Eagle Clan feathers, and her skin is so fair, it’s as if she’s never seen the sun. She’s so delicate, and now she even has the worm disease."
Si Yan understood Dongchi’s implication. "You think she’s a young lady from an important family in White Eagle City?"
Dongchi nodded. "Mhm. Should we save her?"
Si Yan gazed intently at the female before her, her expression focused and resolute. "We save her."
