Teaching about pet beasts’ emotional energy? Qiao Sang imdiately thought of Lubao.

The entire evolutionary chain of the Water Luriana species was related to emotional energy, this kind of lecture couldn't be more fitting.

“Do you know where Dr. Dosharila is giving her lecture?” Qiao Sang looked up and asked.

The red-haired girl hadn’t expected the topic to change so suddenly. She froze for a second, then honestly shook her head.

“I don’t know.”

Qiao Sang didn’t dwell on the issue and instead asked: “Do you know if anyone in our class has a pet beast that can transform into soone else?”

Mimicking others? The red-haired girl paused, then sothing seed to click. Her bright eyes lit up with a smile as she looked over: “Are you trying to skip class?”

Don’t put it so bluntly… Qiao Sang remained calm.

“I just have more important things to do this afternoon.”

Skipping class wasn’t unheard of at university, but it was the first day of the sester. Qiao Sang didn’t want to get caught outright, especially after the stunt she pulled that morning. The teachers would likely be paying extra attention to her.

The red-haired girl gave an “I get it” look and whispered: “No one in our class, but I know soone in the next class whose pet beast can record a person’s image and mimic it.”

“What’s that person’s na?” Qiao Sang asked.

“Harold Lovecraft.”

---

The second Beast master class was right next door.

Qiao Sang entered, and the room imdiately fell silent.

Everyone looked at the black-haired girl standing at the door, silently exchanging glances.

“Is Harold Lovecraft here?” Qiao Sang asked.

Everyone except a curly-haired boy with short black hair let out a breath of relief.

“Harold, she’s calling you.” In the front row of the tiered classroom, a blond boy nudged the stiff black-haired boy next to him.

Damn it, why ? Can’t I pretend I’m not here? Harold looked like he was heading to his doom as he walked to the door under the sympathetic gazes of his classmates.

“Do you need sothing?” Harold tried to steel himself and keep a steady voice.

Qiao Sang, noticing the others still staring, signaled him to follow her to a quieter spot.

They walked down a corridor about ten ters away from the classroom.

God, why ?

Did she realize he was among the crowd that attacked her earlier?

But there were so many others!

As Harold panicked internally, Qiao Sang asked:

“I heard you have a pet beast that can mimic people?”

Harold was stunned, then visibly relaxed.

“You want to skip class?”

Why is that everyone’s first guess… Qiao Sang said seriously, “I just have more important things to do this afternoon.”

Still skipping… Harold muttered ntally but didn’t dare say it aloud. On the outside, he quickly explained: “You must be talking about my pet, the Mimic Doll. It can imitate a person’s actions and voice for up to ten seconds.”

“What about appearance?” Qiao Sang asked.

Harold replied, “That too, but still only for ten seconds.”

Ten seconds is useless… Qiao Sang couldn’t hide her disappointnt.

Seeing this, Harold hesitated internally.

He realized this might be his chance to make peace with Qiao Sang.

Among the freshn, Qiao Sang was undoubtedly the strongest.

If he could get on her good side, the next five years would be a breeze… With that thought, Harold didn’t hesitate any longer and said:

“I have an Extension Stone that can lengthen the mimic duration.”

Qiao Sang’s eyes lit up.

“How long?”

Harold forced a smile uglier than crying.

“Long enough for you to skip the entire afternoon without getting caught.”

Qiao Sang said solemnly, “Thanks, I owe you one. Co to if you ever need help.”

She’s not only forgiving him for the morning’s attack but even offering a favor? Harold imdiately stopped feeling sorry and said, “Let’s get started then, or class will begin soon.”

With that, he eagerly ford a seal with his hands.

A green star array lit up.

Soon, a pet beast with icicle-shaped ears, a round black nose, and a jester-like appearance appeared in the array.

“Go back to the classroom, sit anywhere, and just raise your hand and say ‘Present,’” Harold instructed.

“Got it.” Qiao Sang nodded and returned to Class 1.

She sat at the back with her pet Yabao in her arms.

“Mimic.”

The Mimic Doll stood beside her, eyes glowing blue, staring motionless.

Qiao Sang pretended nothing was out of the ordinary and raised her hand: “Present!”

The whole class: ???

Everyone turned to look.

But the next second, when they spotted the Mimic Doll, which only the other class had, they imdiately understood and turned away, pretending nothing happened.

---

All lecture schedules and locations were listed on the Beastmaster University’s official site.

Qiao Sang checked it and headed to the integrated building.

On the 17th floor, in the lecture hall listed on the site, she found it was packed.

Clearly, emotional energy in pet beasts was a hot topic.

Qiao Sang took a random seat with Yabao and had just settled in when she heard two boys whispering behind her:

“I spent 5 points just like that. Painful.”

“What’s the big deal? It’s Dr. Dosharila’s class.”

“I know, I’m just saying…”

Points to attend class? Qiao Sang couldn’t help but turn around and ask: “You need points to attend this class?”

The two boys froze, then laughed: “You must be a freshman, huh? Don’t even know this.”

Qiao Sang stayed silent, which they took as confirmation.

One black-haired boy teased: “Freshn these days sure are gutsy. Skipping class on day one.”

The blond boy patiently explained: “Usually, famous professors don’t teach students outside their own group. If you want to attend their classes, you need to use points. We didn’t get into Dr. Dosharila’s class this term, so we had to spend points to attend.”

She vaguely rembered hearing about this at the opening ceremony… Qiao Sang asked, “Where do I pay the points?”

“Just go to the school’s website, find Dr. Dosharila’s class, and register for today.” Said the black-haired boy.

Qiao Sang didn’t want to waste ti and imdiately pulled out her phone.

At that mont, the previously noisy classroom suddenly fell silent.

Qiao Sang looked up and saw a woman with smooth golden hair, gold-rimd glasses, and who looked to be in her 30's enter the room.

Dr. Dosharila… Qiao Sang imdiately recognized her.

She looked down and continued working on her phone.

anwhile.

Beastmaster Class 1.

A tall, thin-faced man in formal attire with a serious expression was taking attendance at the lectern.

“Chen Huangzhong.”

“Present.”

“Qiao Sang.”

“Present!”

“Niel Stam.”

“Present!”

“Gregoria Ridley.”

“Present.”

“…”

After reading through the nas, the man opened a virtual screen.

“Present!”

Suddenly, a crisp voice rang out, completely out of place.

The man looked up at the speaker. His furrowed brows slowly relaxed and he asked: “Qiao Sang, is sothing wrong?”

“Qiao Sang” covered her mouth, eyes full of panic, shaking her head violently.

“If there’s a problem, don’t hesitate to tell .” The man said gently.

“Qiao Sang” nodded repeatedly.

Satisfied, the man began the lecture: “Today’s topic is-”

“Present!”

The whole class fell silent again.

Then, a few students started snickering.

More and more joined in.

Soon, several students couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter.

The man: ???
