Tang Yi’s mouth twitched. He wanted to say he wasn’t ready and maybe reschedule, but then he rembered that Qiao Sang had already been accepted into the Imperial Beast University, a god-tier figure. He might not get another chance to challenge her. Gritting his teeth, he followed.

Little Treasure watched as his master’s figure disappeared. Then he glanced at the lower-left corner of the screen where a teammate was asking where he had gone. He sighed, then habitually used his Shadow of Darkness to type on the keyboard:

Tang Yi stared blankly at the field full of blackened craters and ruined terrain. He suggested:
“Maybe we should get soone to fix the field first…”
“No need/” Qiao Sang said indifferently.

A few seconds later, he started silently forming hand seals.
Soon, Paralulu appeared within a green star formation.
“Papa!”

Paraleo and Yabao flapped their wings simultaneously, soaring into the sky.
As they ascended, yellow sparks of electricity appeared around Paralulu.
“Electric Terrain!” Tang Yi shouted.
“Papa!”
With its cry, Paraleo unleashed a burst of yellow lightning, spreading outward in a powerful wave.
In the flickering light of electricity, Paraleo began to glow with a bright white aura.
So Tang Yi can now freely use their bond to temporarily evolve Palelulu… Qiao Sang thought coolly.
She’d seen several of Tang Yi’s matches before and knew that the bond power used to be unstable. It wouldn’t trigger every ti, usually only in critical monts to pull off a coback.
But now, Yabao hadn’t even attacked yet, and Paralulu had already evolved. That was clear progress.
Still, a temporary General-level evolution wasn’t the sa as a true one…
As the white light faded, a six-ter-tall beast appeared in the sky. Its nearly black body was etched with purple patterns on its wings.

Paraleo lifted its head, eyes sharp, but saw no opponent.

“Yap!”
Yabao’s eyes glead blue as he excitedly brought its paw down.
“Papa!”
Paraleo plumted straight to the ground like a falling rock.
The ground cracked and splintered, gravel flew everywhere.
The electric terrain dissipated instantly.
Almost imdiately, Yabao disappeared from the air and reappeared beside Paraleo, placing his right front paw on his opponent’s belly.
“Explosive Fla Bomb.” Qiao Sang issued her first command of the match.
Explosive Fla Bomb?!
Tang Yi’s pupils shrank. He quickly waved his hand, withdrawing Paraleo, leaving only Yabao with his half-ford explosive move.
“Yap?”
Yabao looked toward Tang Yi, confused.
“Not continuing?” Qiao Sang asked.
Tang Yi gave a bitter smile.
“I forfeit. I’ve got a pet beast arena match tonight, Tang Bupa can’t get seriously injured.”
Right now, he was feeling a bit disheartened.
He knew Qiao Sang was stronger than him, but back in the finals, it was the match against Ghost Ring Phantom that led to Paraleo’s loss.
Now, without Ghost Ring Phantom, Paraleo still lost.
And they hadn’t even properly exchanged many moves. It wasn’t the fierce fight he’d imagined.
He had been making progress.
But Qiao Sang had progressed even faster.
“Gang Guard.”
At that mont, Gangbao raised her right wing, signaling the end of the match.
