The middle-aged man was stunned at first, then his eyes widened sharply.
"How old did you say?!"
The staff ignored him and kept staring at the screen, lost in their emotions, completely failing to control their expressions.
"How could it be only 15... How could it be only 15..."
Just then, a wave of exclamations erupted.
The middle-aged man looked up blankly.
On the arena, a magnificent beast appeared, one that had never been seen before.
Its red and white fur swayed gently, smooth and elegant. Its slender yet powerful body, along with a fluffy but suspended white tail, exuded nobility. Paired with the crimson fla wings on either side, it was an absolute showstopper.
Such an eye-catching appearance made everyone overlook the other pet beast on the field.

Naiden narrowed his eyes.
"Oh my god!" The comntator's voice rose at the perfect mont.
"Contestant Qiao Sang has actually summoned an ultra-rare pet beast! In my 16 years as a comntator, having watched countless competitions, I have never seen this beast in a tournant before!"
He turned to the black-haired woman beside him.
"Miss Xuezhi, do you recognize this pet beast?"
Wang Xuezhi, the reigning champion of yesterday’s D-rank beastmaster tournant.
The black-haired woman did not respond.
The comntator turned his head-
Only to see Wang Xuezhi excitedly holding up her phone, frantically taking pictures of the red-and-white pet beast on the stage.

Battle Countdown.
"3..."
As the chanical voice echoed, Qiao Sang's gaze locked onto the opposing pet beast.
It was a creature nearly four ters tall. The top half of its head was pale pink, the lower half white, with two green antennae protruding from its head. Strange vine-like patterns covered its body.
Her mind raced.
Reverse Cricket Flower. A high-tier Grass-type pet beast. Its scent is particularly attractive to Bug-type creatures. To protect itself, it usually camouflages as a Bug-type.
"2..."
It has the 'Contrary' ability, which reverses all stat changes, buffs beco debuffs and vice versa.
The vine-like patterns on its body aren’t natural; they’re drawn spirit patterns that continuously restore its energy.
Yabao’s attributes counter it. The opponent can easily tell that Yabao is a Fire-type, but they likely won’t suspect he has Psychic abilities...
I need to take advantage of their lack of information and strike before they can react...
"1!"
"Fire Fang!" Qiao Sang commanded instantly.
Naiden waved his hand, shouting, "Knot!"
Knot, short for Grass Knot.
Many beast masters use shortened commands to save ti and prevent opponents from countering their tactics in real-ti, just like Naiden was doing now.
Others might not react in ti, but the Reverse Cricket Flower, well-versed in its master's commands, understood imdiately.
A green glow quickly spread over its body.
At the sa ti, dozens of glowing green vines shot out from the ground.
Fire Fang requires close-range contact to attack. That unknown pet beast will have to charge in. Using Grass Knot to trip it is the best strategy... Naiden analyzed calmly.
But in the next second, his pupils shrank in shock.
"Activate!" He blurted out.
Activate, short for Activate Defense Ring.
The Defense Ring was a collar-like defensive artifact on the Reverse Cricket Flower’s neck. Once infused with energy, it would create a protective barrier around it.
This command was so specific that only the Reverse Cricket Flower could understand it.
It abandoned controlling the vines that hadn’t yet ensnared its target and hurriedly tried to activate the defense ring.
But it was already too late.
At the exact mont Naiden called out "Activate," Yabao had already teleported behind and above the Reverse Cricket Flower.
Before the massive beast could react, Yabao, despite being only a third of its size, sank his flaming fangs deep into his head.
"Reeeev—!"
The Reverse Cricket Flower let out a miserable cry and collapsed, unconscious.
Silence.
The entire venue fell into a sudden hush.
Two seconds later, the giant virtual screen displayed the match result:

Then, the audience erupted into an uproar.
Though most spectators had bet on Naiden winning, surprisingly few were angry about the outco.
For one, most of them were his fans.
For another, this completely unknown pet beast had shocked them all with its overwhelming performance.
Discussions imdiately exploded throughout the crowd.
"A Fire and Psychic-type? And there’s not a single ntion of it online?"
"Fire Fang at that level, it must have reached the Ultimate level!"
"An Ultimate level skill? Even among celebrity contestants, barely any of their pet beasts have Ultimate level abilities!"
"There are a few, but those contestants are all in their 30s or older. That kid up there is just different!"
"I knew the betting pool wouldn't just hand us free money!"
"This loss isn’t on Naiden. Who could have expected this pet beast to be both Fire and Psychic-type, and to have Ultimate level Fire Fang on top of that? Not to ntion, his Reverse Cricket Flower has been in so many matches today, its reaction ti was bound to slow down."
"Doesn’t matter, I am blaming him! That was my entire month’s food budget!"
Comntary Booth.
The two comntators also couldn’t take their eyes off Yabao.
"This is insane! A Fire and Psychic-type! It’s got power, it’s got speed, how is there no information on a pet beast like this online? It’s unbelievable!" The comntator exclaid.
"Miss Xuezhi, what do you think?"
Wang Xuezhi ignored him.
Instead, she had already taken out a pet scanner and was frantically scanning the mysterious red-and-white beast.
Comntator: ...
Second Round.
As the discussion continued, Naiden summoned his second pet beast.
Suction Beast. A high-tier Water-type pet. Its skull was incredibly tough. The ink it spewed could disrupt an opponent’s sense of sll. Its suction-cup-covered feet were used to entangle enemies...
It had the Sniper ability, when landing a critical hit, its attack power would significantly increase...

But in the next second, his smile froze.
The ink struck the red-and-white beast...
And it disappeared.
Realization struck Naiden. He shouted, "Alert!"
Suction Beast barely had ti to react.
A wave of searing heat washed over it...
"Glrrrkk—!"
It fainted instantly.
"Yaaap!"
Yabao gracefully landed on the battlefield, his fur as pristine as ever.
Qiao Sang remained calm, but inwardly, she thought: Thanks, comntator, I didn't even need to look up that gadget's na.
Naiden's two pet beasts had already expended most of their stamina and energy. The remaining one had appeared the least in battle and also had the strongest defense.
Relying solely on Fire Fang wouldn’t be enough to take it down in one hit…
