She had initially chosen the Steel Falcon purely for her intelligence and determination. But she never expected her to have such an extraordinary talent, her Mirror Armor trait had already reached A-rank at the beginner stage!
An A-rank Mirror Armor trait, this was definitely worthy of appearing among the top candidate beasts at yesterday’s banquet!
It was extrely rare for a beast at the beginner stage to have any trait reach A-rank. Even seemingly useless traits, when leveled up, could develop so unexpected, powerful effects.
Take the Stink Bug’s Stench trait, for example.
At normal levels, it simply emitted an unpleasant sll.
But when upgraded to A-rank, it could knock opponents unconscious upon entering battle, effectively achieving victory without even fighting, a biological weapon of mass destruction.
Mirror Armor was far from useless to begin with. In fact, it was even more effective than Pure Body, as it allowed for counterattacks.
At A-rank, this trait could make it possible to defeat mid-tier beasts even without a golden finger (cheat ability).
Qiao Sang’s heart burned with excitent as she continued analyzing.
Hard Skull was decent, it increased durability during battles.
Sharpness was excellent, boosting cutting-type moves greatly.
She hadn’t expected the Steel Falcon’s traits to be so useful in combat…

“Blazing Star Canine.” Qiao Sang answered casually. She was already used to people asking about Yabao.
“…Doesn’t look like a mid-tier beast.” The girl muttered.
Most people in the waiting hall were here for the Professional Beast Tar exam.
F-rank Beast Tars didn’t need to take an exam.
E-rank required an exam and two mid-tier beasts.
Seeing that Qiao Sang looked even younger than herself, the girl assud she was aiming for E-rank.
“Yabao.” Qiao Sang’s beast flicked his ears and proudly lifted his head.
He had shrunk his form significantly, yet people could still sense his exceptional nature.
“What beast are you using for the exam?” The girl asked.
“Just Blazing Star Canine.” Qiao Sang replied.
The girl hesitated.
“You’re relying on just that?”
Yabao: ???
What’s that supposed to an?! What’s wrong with relying on ?!
“…Never mind, I shouldn’t judge a beast by its appearance.” The girl said, shifting her focus.
“What’s your number? I’m taking the exam too, maybe we’ll go in together.”
Qiao Sang glanced at her number slip.
“39.”
The girl’s eyes lit up.
“Oh! I’m 43! We’re really close, we’ll definitely be in the sa group. Let tell you-”
“D-rank Beast Tar exam: Candidate 39, please proceed to Examination Room 8.”
A chanical voice interrupted.
Qiao Sang checked her number slip again, then stood up.
The girl blinked in confusion, then kindly reminded her:
“That’s for the D-rank Beast Tar exam.”
Qiao Sang glanced at her.
“That’s what I’m taking.”
Then she walked toward the exam room.
“!!!” The girl froze in shock.
Gangbao, unnoticed the entire ti, flapped her wings and followed after her new Tar.

Rather than a room, it was more like an arena.
It was as large as a basketball stadium, with scattered spectators.
Most were adults, the youngest looking around twenty.
As Qiao Sang entered, the staff at the entrance stared blankly.
“Candidate 39?”
Qiao Sang pulled out her number slip and ID card, placing them on the table.
