Lee Zhen’s speculation made everyone’s heart leap.
The Dragon Palace, the legendary land of the Ancestor Dragon, was sothing no one could resist.
Lin Chen did not imdiately draw a conclusion. He continued to browse through the notebook, while Shi Zuo spread out a few pieces of yellowed ancient map fragnts found in the camp.
These maps were exquisitely drawn, with routes, ocean currents, and island markings vastly different from the current maps, exuding an ancient and desolate aura.
One of the fragnts happened to depict the outline of this island, its shape...
"Look here."
Lin Chen pointed to a section of the map where the island was marked, where so peculiar patterns were sketched with extrely delicate strokes. These patterns were not mountains or rivers, but rather like...
Natural patterns on the shell of a creature?
"Lin Chen, look here,"
Lee Zhen also pointed to a page in the notebook:
"The Night Race recorded multiple tis that deep within the ’Slumbering Ridge’ on the northwest side of the island, a regular low-frequency energy wave can be detected, which they refer to as the ’Earth’s Low Hum.’ The frequency is constant and not a result of natural geological activity."
Lin Chen took the notebook and compared it against the ancient maps.
On the map, around the area corresponding to the ’Slumbering Ridge,’ a faintly outlined complex symbol was sketched, alongside several nearly indistinguishable ancient Dragon Race runes.
"And here," Shi Zuo also found a Night Race exploration report, "their reconnaissance team discovered at a specific cave entrance in the ’Slumbering Ridge,’ a sensation that felt like a pulsation from deep within."
Clues were scattered, making it difficult to discern the true reality.
"Do you know where this Slumbering Ridge is?" Lin Chen asked.
"It should be the second peak of Dragon Ridge," Shi Zuo imdiately replied.
Lin Chen’s interest was piqued, and he pondered:
"The Night Race places such importance on this place, there must be a reason. Let’s go see the cave in this ’Slumbering Ridge.’
No one objected, so Shi Zuo and Aya led the way, heading in the northwest direction.
The ’Slumbering Ridge’ mountains wound in a serpentine manner, and following the guidance of the notebook and maps, they quickly found the cave entrance half-hidden by vines.
The cave entrance was deep, and from it emanated a faint, oppressive scent of damp earth.
They lit glowing stones for illumination and cautiously ventured into the cave.
The passage was initially narrow, but the deeper they went, the more it widened.
On the cave walls, strange patterns began to appear, large and elongated, forming so incomprehensible motif.
"These patterns don’t look carved by human hands; they seem like... natural textures on so kind of shell?"
Aya reached out to touch the cold stone wall, puzzled.
Continuing forward, they reached a huge underground chamber.
At the center of the chamber stood several gigantic ’stone pillars,’ but these pillars were exceptional in shape, covered in patterns resembling the scars of ti, seamlessly rging with the ground at their base.
Lee Zhen suddenly squatted down, closely inspecting the ground, then tapped the pillar with his hand, the sound deep and full.
"This pillar is really hard."
Lin Chen had long since placed his hand on where the pillar connected to the ground, where a very faint but definite pulsation of the Earth could be felt!
"According to the Night Race’s records, they had brought the Ancestor Dragon Stone here before, but nothing unusual happened at that ti," Shi Zuo said.
They searched everywhere but found nothing significant.
As they prepared to return, soone suddenly noticed another entrance inside.
"A cave within a cave?"
Everyone rejoiced, especially Shi Zuo, these treasure hunters found it hard to resist the urge to explore.
They quickly reached the entrance, and Shi Zuo said, "Let go in first."
Taking a deep breath, Shi Zuo bent over and squeezed through the passage that only allowed one person to pass, Lin Chen and Lee Zhen following closely behind.
The space inside the cave was more spacious than anticipated, but still very limited.
Most striking was a mysterious stone, emitting a faint golden glow, hanging in mid-air at the center of the cave. The ancient dragon’s awe it exuded was unmistakably the legendary Ancestor Dragon Stone!
Beneath the Ancestor Dragon Stone sat a shadowy figure.
This figure was shrouded in twisted light, its appearance indistinct, only a hunched and bent silhouette discernible.
His hands ford a peculiar Dharma Seal, emitting streams of ghostly light that entwined the Ancestor Dragon Stone, refining it.

As Lin Chen and the others intruded, the shadowy figure remained unresponsive, not even lifting its head, as if they were insignificant specks of dust.
Shi Zuo steadied himself, suppressing his desire for the Ancestor Dragon Stone, and said with a deep bow,
"My friend, I wonder if the item in your hand is the Ancestor Dragon Stone?"
The shadow ignored him, still focused on refining the Ancestor Dragon Stone.
The other treasure hunters, seeing the priceless treasure so close, had their eyes turn red.
Putting aside greed, rembering they almost lost everything fighting for this stone,
the sight of this person effortlessly enjoying the spoils, with such arrogance, infuriated them.
"We’re not here to take the treasure, we just need an explanation! Why is the Ancestor Dragon Stone here?" Shi Zuo asked, suppressing his anger.
His response was silence and the constant refining glow.
"Damn it, playing tricks!"
One hot-tempered treasure hunter couldn’t stand it, letting out a low roar, as the wolf-shaped Spirit Beast beside him opened its mouth and unleashed an intense energy blast straight at the shadow!
