Outing V

"You know, this doesn’t look very kid friendly." Osho said thoughtfully as the group had to crane their necks upwards just to see the top of the imnse and probably lethal Rollercoaster they wanted to get on.

"I an, there is a 16 age rating."

"Makes it sound like a movie age rating."

"I feel like that’s better."

"I know."

After a momt of staring, Ellie turned to the group with a grin.

"Alright, let’s do it."

With that, they quickly made their way to the queue that was rapidly forming, and soon enough, they got to the front.

As they got closer, they saw a few signs with pretty boldly written disclairs and warnings on them.

Bloodbath Rail Coaster: Safety Guidelines and Rider Disclairs.

General Health & Safety

• Riders and their Beasts must be in stable physical condition. Individuals experiencing Mana fatigue/exhaustion, debilitating physical conditions, or ntal instability are advised NOT to ride.

• Pregnant individuals or unruly/unstable Beasts are not permitted to ride.

• The Bloodbath Rollercoaster features minor gravity fluctuations, segnts with illusionary drops, and spatial turns.

• So sections may induce mild vertigo due to velocity enchantnts and simulated free fall. These effects are temporary and monitored by inscribed runes.

• Mana imprinting is routine for safety. It fades within 30 minutes and is non-invasive.

• Beasts will be scanned and, depending on their attributes, will have small adjustnts made to ensure the experience is as enjoyable to them as it is to the Tar.

Ergency Protocols

• In the event of a sudden enchantnt stutter, Mana overload, or any physical anomalies such as sudden derailnt, riders are advised to stay seated as there are asures in place for at least 60 seconds to prevent any harm from being done to them.

• Uncontrolled surges of Mana could cause Beasts to beco restless. In situations such as this, Beasts are to either be kept in their Beast spaces or cald down with any available thod.

• In the unlikely scenario where one finds themselves thrown out of the ride, they are to remain as still as possible and enhance themselves with Mana as enchantnts in place will help them land safely.

The group read it over, and Osho said with a hum.

"Pretty thorough." The rest agreed.

"Makes sense. I doubt this thing would even be allowed to exist if it lacked the proper asures and rules to be used. Makes wonder what sort of rides the higher class Citadels possess." Kurt muttered.

The group soon reached the front of the queue where a staff was waiting for them.

"Alright, folks. Ready to experience this thing." They said with a bit of forced cheer, no doubt having done so nurous tis before.

The group nodded, and the staff led them over to an area not too far away from the queue.

There were two platforms as well as a control panel next to each of them, and Osho could sense the Mana coming from each one, making him assu that this was where they would be imprinted.

"People, step on the left platform. Lead your Beasts to step on the right platform." The staff said, and the group promptly agreed. Osho and the others stepped on the left platform, and they had their beasts get on the right one.

Another staff mber ca to attend to the control panel where the beasts were while the original one attended to the group. They fiddled with the panel for a few seconds before a faint hum sounded, and Osho felt a small vibration in the platform before a small wave of Mana traveled upwards. He observed it curiously as it latched onto his own Mana, but it didn’t seem harmful in any way, and from what he could tell, it would dissipate in about thirty minutes.

"All done." The staff mber said.

The group got off the platform and waited for their beasts to be done, but they quickly noticed a problem.

The staff mber who was at that control panel had a frown non his face as he kept on fiddling with the thing, yet there seed to be sothing wrong as the Mana created by the platform refused to latch on to one of the beasts on it, naly Gale.

Osho blinked and observed the situation with his Mana sense, and he quickly understood why.

He’d thought that Gale was actively resisting the Mana latching on to him, but upon closer inspection, he realized that it was due to the passive bubble of Sky Affinity Mana that surrounded him. It seed to act as a sort of shield that prevented any foreign Mana from latching on to Gale. Another interesting function of the Bloodline ability.

’Gale, you think you can allow that Mana through your bubble?’ He asked, and he felt Gale’s confusion before the bird concentrated for a bit, and a momt later, the staff mber let out a relieved sigh as the next wave of Mana had its intended effects.

"Sorry folks, just a brief holdup." The initial staff mber said, looking relieved.

"Now, are there any items, specifically ones with enchantnts you may have? If you read the disclair, then you’d know that such items, at least sowhat potent ones, are ant to be stored in anti-tamper satchels we the staff possess." As he said that, he brought out a large satchel that didn’t look that special at a glance, but through his Mana sense, Osho could see that the thing had quite a bit of what seed to be tal Mana surrounding it, specifically at the opening, and he had a feeling that opening it or even damaging it was a but of a tall task.

’Hm, my jumpsuit is technically an enchanted item. But I can’t exactly remove that now, can I?’ As he mused, Elie went forward and removed a bracelet from her left hand as well as her earrings before handing them to the staff with a smile.

The others seed surprised that Ellie had enchanted items on her, but Osho knew that they’d been enchanted, courtesy of his Mana sense. Besides, they should be used to her bringing out the most random stuff with how wealth by now.

"Uh, my clothes are enchanted. Is there a way to work around that?" Osho asked, genuinely a bit embarrassed by the question.

The staff mber blinked before his smile quickly returned.

"Of course! As long as the enchantnt on it isn’t potent and is unlikely to interfere or interact with any of the enchantnts on the ride, then there should be no problem with you getting on while wearing it. Could you tell what enchantnts are active on it?" The staff asked.

"Oh, alright," also nodded, sounding a but relieved. "It’s a sensory deprivation enchantnt." The staff blinked, their smile freezing.

"Wh-What?" Their smile turned even more strained as they asked for confirmation.

"Sensory deprivation. Or will that still interfere with any enchantnts?" Osho enquired, and the staff snapped out of their stupor.

"N-No! Not at all... right this way, please." He said and briskly walked in a direction.

"I think you broke him." Kurt snickered, and Osho just rolled his eyes as they followed the staff.

Soon enough, they arrived at the ’boarding’ station, which was naturally just the area for them to get on one of the coaster cars.

’It’s pretty big up close.’ Osho thought.

Each seat was quite wide, and there was a smaller section next to each seat that was where the beasts were ant to be, and Osho could sense the potent Mana within the cars as a whole, which was nothing compared to the amount of Mana coming from the ride itself.

The group was ushered into their seats. All five of them were able to sit in a single column, which was near the front.

The staff helped buckle them and their beasts in, and Osho could feel himself getting a bit excited. He had a feeling that this would be fun.
