The walls of the corridor rattled as the silver-scaled creatures slithered in from every side.

Their bodies glistened under the dim vault lights, each one at least fifty centiters long and ard with sharp fangs.

They hissed, coiling around pipes and dropping from the ceiling.

One elite soldier stepped forward, his arms rging with his beast as claws and armor plates ford.

He swung at the nearest snake, slicing it clean in half.

Sparks flew as the creature's silver scales cracked open.

Another soldier shouted, his voice low and determined.

"Hold the line! Don't let them break through!"

Cassius stood back, arms crossed, his drones hovering near his shoulders.

"Let the soldiers handle it," he said, his eyes scanning the battlefield.

Sylvia adjusted her scanning device, eyes narrowed.

"Agreed. They're small. The soldiers can manage."

Victor's eyes flicked to the soldiers, then back to the snakes.

A grin crossed his face. "Small?" he said. "Weak."

He stepped forward, his taming whip shifting into his hand.

His eyes glowed, the whip's circuits activating. "Vextryx," he called.

The air shimred as Vextryx erged, its dark scales glinting.

Victor's arms fused with the beast, his fingers turning into clawed gauntlets.

He lunged forward, a smirk on his face.

"Let's clear the way," he said, his claws slashing through a cluster of snakes with [Beat Breaker].

Cassius frowned, his drones spinning around him.

"Victor," he muttered. "Always showing off."

Sylvia sighed, her scanning device lighting up.

"It can't be helped," she said.

"We'd better join in. The bunker is still far."

Cassius nodded, stepping forward.

His arms flexed as he called, "Myraktos."

The massive beast roared to life, its tal plates shifting.

Cassius's arms rged with Myraktos, forming heavy blade arms.

He swung both down, the force splitting the ground as he cleaved through several snakes at once.

Sylvia's eyes glowed softly as she pressed a button on her device.

"Serenyx," she whispered.

A soft light ford as Serenyx appeared, its antlers glowing.

Sylvia's arms fused with the beast, her hands now tipped with small shield projectors.

She moved forward, deflecting the snakes' bites with [Light Ward].

Victor laughed, his claws dripping with silver blood.

"See?" he shouted. "They're nothing!"

Cassius's face stayed serious.

"Just focus," he said, his blade arms whirring.

"We can't afford mistakes now."

Sylvia moved beside Cassius, her shields deflecting a cluster of snakes that lunged at his side.

"Stay close," she said.

"We need to reach the bunker."

Victor's eyes danced with excitent.

"Don't slow down," he said, his claws slashing through another wave of snakes.

Cassius glared at him.

"Save the talk for later," he said. "We're almost there."

Sylvia's shields glowed brighter, deflecting another lunge.

"Stay focused," she said, her voice calm.

Victor lunged forward, his claws glowing with [Rhythm Echo].

He swung in a wide arc, the sound waves vibrating through the corridor.

The snakes reeled back, stunned.

Cassius's blades swung down, cleaving them apart.

Sparks flew, tal clanged, and the ground shook.

Sylvia's shields closed in, protecting them from the final wave.

"Move," she said. "The bunker is this way."

Cassius's drones flew ahead, scanning for threats.

"Clear," he said.

Victor grinned, his claws retracting.

"Let's finish this," he said.

They moved forward, boots tapping on the tal floor.

But then a sound echoed through the corridor—a smooth, taunting voice.

"Thank you for showing your location," it said.

Cassius's head snapped up. His eyes narrowed.

"Who?" he demanded.

His arms flexed, ready for combat.

Victor's claws ford again, his smirk fading.

"Show yourself," he said.

Sylvia's fingers tightened on her scanner, the screen flickering.

"Sothing's here," she whispered.

A flicker of movent appeared ahead.

From the shadows, L-Snake erged, his silver scales glinting under the lights.

His forked tongue flicked the air, a mocking smirk on his face.

"It's ," L-Snake said, his voice smooth.

"L-Snake. Or you may rember as Vernyx before."

Cassius's eyes widened, his jaw tightening.

"How can you be here?" he asked, his voice low.

L-Snake's silver eyes glowed faintly.

His arms crossed, his tail coiled behind him like a living whip.

"Simple," he said.

"You were so kind to destroy my little snakes, showing your location."

He waved one hand lazily, as if wiping dust from the air.

"I just needed to know where the last one was killed," he said.

"It's as simple as that, isn't it?"

Victor's claws tensed, a growl forming in his throat.

"You—" he started.

L-Snake's smirk widened.

"Now," he said, his voice dripping with mockery.

"Let's play, young masters and mistresses."

Sylvia's eyes narrowed, her shields forming around her.

"Cassius," she said quietly, "he's not an ordinary hybrid. We need to be careful."

Cassius nodded, his drones forming a ring around them.

"Victor, stay focused," he said.

Victor grinned, claws clicking.

"Finally," he said. "Sothing interesting."

L-Snake's body shimred, his arms shifting into [Luxorite Armant].

Blades extended from his hands, his tail transforming into a spiked whip.

"Let's see how well you handle a real fight," he taunted.

Cassius's blades shifted, his stance tightening.

"We'll handle you," he said.

Sylvia's shields glowed brighter.

"Together," she added.

Victor lunged forward, claws gleaming with [Beat Breaker].

L-Snake flicked his tail, blocking the strike effortlessly.

L-Snake's eyes glowed with a cold light. "Predictable," he whispered.

He lashed out with his spiked tail, the movent sharp and precise.

Sparks flew as it scraped across Cassius's blades.

Cassius twisted, blocking the strike, his drones spinning defensively.

Sylvia's shields flickered, absorbing a sudden strike from L-Snake's arm blades.

Sparks scattered across the corridor, lighting up the worried faces of the soldiers nearby.

An elite soldier lunged, his fusion weapon crackling with energy.

He swung it at L-Snake's side.

Another soldier leaped in from the left, his claws striking down, trying to catch L-Snake off guard.

L-Snake's eyes narrowed as he spun, his tail whipping the ground.

"It's a bit troubleso to fight you all," he said, his forked tongue flicking.

He smirked, his silver eyes glowing. "Let's just cut the number, shall we?"

With a flick of his tail, he slashed at the nearest soldier, the force knocking the man back into the wall.

The other soldier stumbled, his claws missing their mark as L-Snake shifted sideways.

Cassius watched from behind his drones, his jaw tight.

"Stay sharp," he called, his voice even.

Victor lunged again, claws glowing.

"Let's see you handle !" he shouted, eyes wide with anticipation.

Sylvia's shields brightened.

"Hold your positions," she said, her voice calm.

"We can't let him split us up."

L-Snake's smirk widened.

"Split you up? I'll do more than that," he hissed, his tail coiling for another strike.
