Fiona stepped out onto the raised eastern platform of Luxoria Castle.
Standing there, arms crossed and gaze fixed ahead, was Liora.
Her silver hair was tied back in a high combat loop.
Fionyx walked behind Fiona silently.
Liora turned at the sound of approaching footsteps.
Her gaze fell imdiately on Fionyx.
"So Lord L have given you your beast."
Fiona nodded with a grin.
"Yeah. et Fionyx."
She patted the beast's shoulder proudly.
"And now I've got sothing to protect too."
Liora gave a small approving nod.
"Good."
She turned toward the edge of the platform.
"Then let's go."
Just as she said it, tallic liquid flew into her back.
Forming a jetpack for her to fly with.
Fiona's eyes went wide.
"Wait—wait wait wait. You're flying?!"
Liora turned back slightly.
"Of course."
Fiona blinked rapidly.
"Do I get one?!"
Liora smirked faintly.
"No. You have sothing better."
She nodded toward Fionyx.
"Just ride him."
Fiona looked at Fionyx, confused.

Fionyx let out a soft rumble.
Its legs compacted. Armor shifted and retracted.
Panels slid into new configurations.
In seconds, Fionyx's entire shape changed into a hoverpack unit.
Still glowing with Fiona's signature colors.
"…Holy crap." Fiona whispered.
"You're telling this thing's both a beast and a personal flight rig?"
Liora hovered off the ground a few ters, watching.
"Luxoria doesn't build things halfway."
Fiona grinned wide, eyes locked on her newly transford beast-gear.
"Chat… let's take to the sky."
She hopped onto Fionyx.
"Alright, Lady Liora—lead the way!"
Liora nodded once.
Both of them then flew away.

They flew for several more minutes across rising cliffs.
Until they approached a partially ruined zone.
Most of the area was subrged in shallow water.
Fiona slowed down and hovered above the site.
"Wait... this place looks like an old beast testing facility."
She glanced at her visor's mapping tools.
"And we're in a registered SS-Rank danger zone..."
Her eyes narrowed toward the water.
"Liora. Don't tell —this one's aquatic?"
Liora gave a slight nod.
"It's not just aquatic."
She hovered lower, eyes scanning the rippling surface.
"It's territorial."
Fiona's brows furrowed as she hovered beside her.

"So we're dealing with an angry sea monster that lives in a sunken death temple."

A booming roar echoed beneath them.
Followed by a column of steam that shot skyward.
Then the ground cracked open.
Water exploded from the center platform.
From it, sothing colossal erged.
Coral-armored hide dripping with pressure mist.
Its curved horns glinting under the pale ruin light.
The beast's eyes locked onto them.
Fiona hovered back half a ter on instinct.
"What the hell is that?!"
Liora spoke clearly and calmly, introducing it.
"That... is Brutaurus. The Abyss-Horned Juggernaut."
Her eyes eting the creature's.
"A Sovereign-tier pressure beast that rules these ruins."
"Water elent. Territorial. Duelist ntality."

She looked toward her beast.
