VALENCIA’S POV

’So tell ,’ Aurora said as soon as I entered the rough path that would lead to my lake house.

’Tell you what?’ I asked, and she rolled her eyes.

’You can fool anyone but . Do you really think I am going to believe that you left free food because Aiden was feeling uncomfortable there?’ Aurora asked.

I didn’t answer anything. She would know the reason soon anyway.

’Aren’t you going to answer ? This is so rude of you. Tell the truth now or I swear I am going to turn you-’

’Fine. I will tell you,’ I sighed before she could complete her sentence.

I swear this is the only thing she knows to use against .

It was true.

I didn’t co out of there because I suddenly felt very bad for Aiden or uncomfortable around Shadow.

The reason I ca out of there was because while I received that last text ssage from that private number, I was reminded of the invitation my sister sent .

The engagent invitation of her and Alpha Tyler.

No. I wasn’t feeling the kind of sad where I wanted to take my life, but I was definitely feeling enraged.

And I wanted to do sothing.

"I will blow out their engagent function," I said to Aurora who raised her brows at , probably not expecting what I said.

"Blow?" She asked as I walked, and I humd.

Since my dear sister was ever so considerate to send the invitation, how rude will it really look if I don’t send my wishes? She wanted to show her happiness and how she won whatever ga she was playing.

Well, I just want to show that I have achieved sothing in life too.

’And what is that?’ Aurora asked the expression on her face clearly telling how she didn’t have any trust in what was going on inside my head.

I just chuckled and entered the house, smiling at Carl, who was sitting on the couch and watching so kind of horror film.

"You arrived early," He comnted as I snatched the popcorn from his hand.

"Yeah, I canceled the plan on eating. What did you eat?" I asked as he paused the movies suddenly as soon as he received a call.

He picked up the call and stood from his place.

"Yes, Dylan. She is right in front of . No. She hasn’t created any trouble for . Stop treating her like a kid. Yes her wound healed," I heard Carl talking as he walked to the kitchen and brought out the food for , making smile gratefully.

"Want to talk?" He asked, and I nodded at him.

I grabbed the phone from his hand.

"Dylan, I received the invitation to Tyler’s engagent from my sister today," I said and Carl, who was eating a waffle, paused and looked at .

Dylan didn’t say anything for a few seconds before taking a deep breath.

"I don’t understand what your family really needs from you. Why can’t they leave you alone?" Dylan said, and I sighed.

"Stop thinking about that. Can you - leave it," I ended the sentence.

If I asked Dylan what kind of arrangent was there and if he could give so details about the venue, and when things would take place, he would imdiately know I did that.

I don’t want these people to know what I have been doing behind their backs for sure.

"What were you saying?" He asked , and I shook my head.

"It’s not important anymore. Just can you see if I can apply for leave from the University? Since you are my guardian, you should be able to talk to them," I said.

"Leave, for what?" He asked.

"It’s just that I want to explore a little after my exams that will be starting this week. Go on a vacation and enjoy a little," I said and Dylan humd.

After exchanging a few more words, I ended the call and went straight to the room after finishing my dinner.

I fished out my phone and dialed a number.

"Hello?" The man said, his voice cold as always.

"You always wanted to repay for that day, didn’t you? I have a task for you. It’s quite simple but risky too. Do you think you will be able to do it?" I asked, and the man scoffed.

"Just tell what it is rather than question my capabilities. Also, stop using the word repay when I am practically working for you. Why do you watch so many movies?" he asked.

I chuckled at his choice of words. Well, there was nothing wrong with being a little dramatic.

Seeing the confidence oozing from him, I couldn’t help but smile.

That was what I liked about him and the only reason why he was the leader of the rogue group I was creating myself.

Yes. I was creating a rogue group of people like who were banished from the pack or had to leave the pack because of bullying and because they wanted to make their lives better.

So far, I was able to collect 40 people, but due to the extensive training, they were far better than council spies now.

Surprisingly, I used to think people only bullied the weak, like it was in our pack, but in my group, there were betas, ogas, Gammas, and even 2 alphas whose packs were snatched from them.

They didn’t want to create another pack and just wanted to live a carefree life now. That was why they agreed to join my group.

"It’s about destroying an engagent party of an Alpha. Just let them know what happens when they send an invitation to the wrong person thinking it was a good idea," I said and the man humd.

"The work will be done. Share the details with us. When are you visiting?" He asked.

"Soon. I will let you know," I said and ended the call.

After changing my outfit, I turned off the lights and got into the bed.

’Aurora, I know you might not be happy because of my attitude, but I am not going to let these people walk all over ’ I said to Aurora, who didn’t answer , making sigh.

’I am not angry at you, Valencia. I am afraid that your attitude will bring out my attitude too,’ I heard Aurora’s faint voice as darkness started to take over .

However, as I was drifting into sleep, I felt like soone was walking towards , watching .

I wanted to open my eyes, but the tiredness was too much for to open my eyes.

Besides, Carl was here. He wouldn’t let anything happen to or at least alert if sothing was the case. I turned around in the bed, feeling the mattress behind dip.

"Don’t run away from , kitten. The more you run, the more I want to chase," I heard a whisper before sleep took over completely.
