VALENCIA’S POV
’You surely know how to find trouble for yourself. Who the hell does this?’ Aurora’s annoyed voice reverberated as I looked around and snuck into the flower fields.
Looking at the flowers closely, I slt the fragrance, feeling calm and happy.
It was like a drug. From the mont I slt this flower, I craved slling it repeatedly, and the idea that it might be related to its properties that I had no idea about hasn’t been letting sleep.
That was why I snuck into the flower fields today to finally start my research on what kind of flowers these were.
I plucked one of the flowers before taking its petals and putting it in my mouth.
’Ehh, who the hell does that? Why would you put those petals in your mouth?’ Aurora groaned again, and I munched on it without a care.
It was a little bittersweet, sowhat similar to rose petals.
I wrote the color, taste, and fragrance descriptions because I am a fan of scents and perfus and know the ingredients of most of the brands in the market.
"Valencia? What are you doing here?" I heard Aarav’s voice and couldn’t help but close my eyes briefly.
Taking a deep breath, I patted my hands on my outfit before standing and faking a smile.
"Just wandering," I said.
I don’t know what this guy’s problem was. It feels like he has been appointed to watch , given how he is always roaming around , and no one says a word against it.
"Is that so? Have you chosen your outfit for the day? It’s your council’s acceptance and Dylan’s birthday. Also, the royals would be arriving," Aarav said as if I didn’t rember that.
That day, I made plans to defeat all ten guards chosen to spar with for the training ritual.
However, I could only spar with seven of them when I heard a loud ringing out of nowhere, and my vision darkened.
I fell unconscious even when no one hit , and the council head had announced the cancellation of all the other rituals.
It was a little disheartening because I was looking forward to shutting down those elders with my skills, but it was sothing I had no control over.
I was glad everything happened gracefully after I at least fought the seven guards. It helped gain a little respect in the council, and they stopped mocking with their words, especially using the word ’smug’.
When I thought about the dress, I couldn’t help but rember when Maverick helped choose it for the party.
’You an the ti when he had locked us in the changing room and touched us in a way no one ever has. Yes, he indeed helped us. He helped us realize he was the only one we wanted to touch us,’ Aurora said, making cough lightly to hide the blush rising on my cheeks.
Even the thought of his touch was enough to send into a needy, blissful pool of desire that wants nothing more than him to touch us, to make us realize how much he wants us.
"Are you there?" Aarav waved his hand before , and I nodded.
"I’ll choose the dress soon. Right now, I want to be alone," I said, emphasizing the word ’alone’ so that he could understand its hidden aning.
Before Aarav could say anything, I felt a familiar presence near us, making raise my brows.
I looked at Aarav, who didn’t look like he could feel anything, and I furrowed my brows.
"Umm, can you not feel it?" I asked, but the present was gone as soon as it ca.
"Feel what?" He asked , genuine confusion in his eyes, and I sighed.
"Nothing," I said.
"Wait. You said the royals are coming too? Do they always co?" I asked.
Aarav nodded, and I sighed.
I can only hope that Prince Ethan doesn’t make a scene or call out on spying on the pack of the man who was madly in love with and vice versa.
He didn’t look like the type to do it, but we never know what goes inside one’s head. Besides, he seed pretty adamant about getting Maverick’s pack spied on, not to ntion his interest in his life.
"Well, okay," I said before I turned towards the forests.
"By the way, you shouldn’t go to the forests alone," Aarav said.
"I know," I waved at him, dismissing his words as I continued walking deeper into the forests.
It has been two days since I ca here, and every ti I co near the forests, I see the sa wolf I t on day one.
It’s almost like the wolf wants to say sothing to . What am I talking about? He always says sothing to , words like I should know who he is, but he leaves silently when I can’t figure it out.
Happy always flies over , just like he was doing to ensure nothing hurts , and I was more than grateful for his assistance.
Since everyone around could see Happy near the Dark Callisto Pack, I always thought that he couldn’t hide well, but these days, I have realized that Happy can use so kind of invisible thing, too.
He keeps roaming around , and no one can sense or see him.
It was pretty impressive and will co in handy, given how big he turns into when he takes its complete form.
I walked towards the lake where the wolf usually appears.
However, much to my surprise, rather than feeling the familiar presence, I sensed so rogue wolves drinking water from the lake at so distance.
They probably sensed my presence, too, because they raised their snouts the next mont, and their eyes t mine.
There were four brown wolves and one wolf with so amber fur.
It was quite a different color.
’Valencia, I love how you always appreciate the beauty in things, but I assure you, now is not the ti to appreciate the beauty. It’s ti to run,’ Aurora reminded , according to the council acceptance ritual. I wasn’t supposed to kill anyone today.
I gulped and nodded at her, and took a step back cautiously.
"I didn’t see anyone. You can go your way, and I can go my way," I said, raising my hands to tell them I didn’t an any harm.
However, the rogues had other plans in mind.
As soon as I raised my hands, one of the rogues snarled at . I realized it was probably because I was carrying the dagger in my hands, and they probably saw as a threat.
’Well, they indeed did. Now, what are you waiting for? Run towards the council. No matter what they think or want, they wouldn’t want to co close to the council chambers knowing all too well about the guards and the alphas appearing soon,’ Aurora said.
I humd.
I had the sa plans. I swear, sotis she really thinks I am dumb or sothing.
Turning around, I imdiately started running towards the council chambers, cursing myself for coming this far just because I wanted to et that wolf who had been coming to et daily and trying to remind about himself.
I know it was a foolish decision, too, but sothing about that wolf’s vibes just doesn’t trigger and tells he is soone I should befriend.
It was unfortunate that he didn’t tell where we t or things like that.
Shaking my head because it wasn’t ti to think about those things, I kept running until my foot got entangled in an uprooted stem and fell face-first on the ground.
Feeling the harsh ground hurting the side of my head, I groaned.
Sure, the moon goddess. This was the perfect ti to make feel like Bonita, like those dumb movie heroines who always fall whenever soone chases them because I think my life is getting boring.
I cursed out loud before trying to stand in my place.
However, as soon as I stood, I saw the rogues jumping before , and I was imdiately confronted by five rogues.
"Look, I don’t an any harm. I was just roaming into the forests and saw you. Besides, don’t forget this is the area of the council chambers. If you dared to do sothing, the soldiers would arrive and kill you. We can avoid that bloodshed if you leave now,"
I tried to reason with the rogues, but it didn’t look like their dumb heads were ready to listen to anything.
Left with no choice, I pulled out my dagger again since running was no longer helpful.
One of the rogue wolves lunged at , and I was about to strike when, out of nowhere, a large wolf appeared before , grabbed the rogue wolf with its snout, and threw it away.
I watched the wolf in surprise, realising it was the sa wolf I had been eting daily.
