’You are seriously doing this?’ Aurora looked at with wide eyes, and I smirked at her inwardly.
’Of course, I was in no mood to joke today. Told you, don’t joke with earlier, didn’t I?’ I asked her and she gulped, looking at warily.
I looked at the alpha in front of who was staring at , probably waiting for my explanation as to what I was doing here on his balcony and why I couldn’t use a normal thod like civilians but had to take the hard way.
"So?" He looked at .
"Hello? Your voice is not clear, sir. Do you think the council is helping the royals and I should -" I watched Alpha Maverick’s gaze shifting to the phone in his hand.
I followed his gaze, a smirk appearing on my face.
So the council was helping the royals? Why didn’t I know anything about it? I scoffed inwardly, wanting to know more about it. Why? Because he probably didn’t even know he was talking about .
He muted the phone and looked at challengingly.
What was it? Did he expect to give him so privacy? What for?
I watched his expression turning from neutral to interested before he smirked.
He slowly placed the device near his ear after unmuting it and spoke while looking at dead in the eyes.
"Yes. I want you to look into it. I doubt the council is trying to plant one of their people among us," He said, his unmoving gaze holding captive and I smirked back.
Two can play this ga for sure.
I stepped ahead, his brows twitching but he didn’t make any substantial move to react to my little action.
Concentrating on work, are we? I grinned before walking further closer to him.
’Valencia, don’t do this. I was just joking. You know I joke all the ti. This wasn’t the first ti. Why do you want to take it seriously this ti? Don’t,’ Aurora said.
’There is no turning back, Aurora. Forgive ,’ I whispered to her, standing right in front of the alpha before I leaned in and gently grabbed his collar, pulling him down to my eye level.
He didn’t do anything to revoke my actions. Rather, like a curious cat he was moving exactly the way I was making him move.
"I want to bite you, can I?" I asked, not hiding the raw desire in my eyes.
However, the raw desire I had was definitely not for sothing he must be thinking about. It was for every wrong thing that he probably didn’t think about.
I licked my bottom lip as I raked my gaze on his face.
I saw his Adam’s apple bob up and down, his heartbeat increased its pace and I liked the effect I had on him.
My condition was no better, but for once it made feel like things were actually in my control and the feeling alone was good enough for .
"H-hmmm," I felt him take a sharp breath as soon as I leaned forward and my cheeks touched his.
It was just like how I wanted him.
"Don’t stop. Continue your phone call," I whispered before I placed my lips on his earlobe.
I gently took the soft muscle between my teeth, making a shudder run down his spine and as soon as I did that, his free hand wrapped around my torso and he pulled closer, making my heart skip a beat.
’Valencia, there is still so ti. You don’t have to-’ Aurora started to panic as my lips neared his neck, the junction between his neck and shoulders, and I honestly enjoyed every second of her panic.
Today I will make her realize what fear is. I was going to show her how every word she spoke had its consequences and it was exactly what brought us here.
’Sorry, wolfie, no turning back when I have worked so hard and gathered all the courage to co here. You should’ve thought about it when I asked you to stop ssing with , that I wasn’t feeling like joking anymore,’ I told her before turning my head just enough to look into Alpha Maverick’s eyes.
"Didn’t you hear ? I said continue that fucking call," I whispered to him.
I saw his pupils dilating and his eyes darkened while he looked back at .
"Are you-" he started, but I placed my finger on his lips before he could ask if I knew my place or sothing like that.
The psychotic switch inside was snapping on and off again and again and I did not want to end up doing sothing that would make either of us hate each other or make pregnant.
I looked at him, hoping he would understand and as if he knew what kind of unholy thoughts were going inside my head, he removed my finger from his lips.
"You understood what needs to be done. Don’t leave your spot-" He started talking again.
As a good professional spy from the council, it was my duty to concentrate on what he was talking about so I could report it back to the council and get so good points by letting the royals know that the alpha already knew about their plans and they should be changing their course of actions but I was only concentrated on one thing.
That one thing that Aurora provoked for.
"Do you know the reason I didn’t take the normal path to co here?" I asked the alpha who looked at as soon as he ended the call.
"What is it?" He asked , and I smirked.
"Because I didn’t want anyone to know I t you," I whispered.
"Is eting worth being ashad of?" He asked, his tone clearly telling he felt offended.
"Uhuh, definitely if I want to hide what I did with you," I whispered sensually, letting my hand grab his throat in a choking position to tilt his head to my liking.
"What do you -" He started, but I didn’t let him complete his question. Not being able to control it, I would’ve never thought I would’ve done to the strongest alpha in the world.
I bit into his neck, hard, rough and that wasn’t enough. I drank his blood, closing my eyes as soon as nirvana hit my brain, moaning at the taste I was craving.
