Chapter 416: Chapter 416: Fighting Side by Side (Part 2)

Lu Xining slamd the bathroom door shut, the fierce thrashing of the rmaid’s tail causing a deafening noise.

“Ah—!”

The bodyguard near the door let out a blood-curdling scream, his body riddled with shards of shattered glass.

“It’s here! Experint 13599 has been located!”

“It…”

A bodyguard who rushed in and spotted the teenage rmaid barely got a word out before being sent flying into the wall by a strike from the rmaid’s tail.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Muscles bulging, the teenage rmaid’s face was covered in intricate blue markings, which slowly spread across his upper body.

His hands clung firmly to the walls and ceiling, moving with the speed of a nimble predator, repelling all the bodyguards who attempted to invade the suite in an instant.

Danrus, standing at the doorway with a grim expression, shouted loudly, “Be careful, all of you! He’s worth much more alive!”

“Alive, my ass! If we don’t kill him, we’re all dead today!”

The four of them simultaneously thought of Lott’s grueso fate.

“Shoot! Open fire! Kill him—better him than us!” ng Lai barked orders harshly at his subordinates.

But the teenage rmaid was far too quick to be hit.

One by one, the bodyguards fell, yet the rmaid remained unhard. Even ng Lai and Danrus grabbed weapons and began to fire indiscriminately at the rmaid.

Don’t be fooled by the rmaid’s seemingly casual movents as he dodged.

But Lu Xining figured it out: he was subtly shielding the four of them.

Just as one bullet was about to strike the rmaid, Lu Xining and Ji Muye simultaneously took action, with Cheng Cang and Shang Lvxing quickly covering them.

Those outside quickly realized the teenage rmaid had allies inside the room but couldn’t identify who they were.

Afraid to rush in recklessly, they chose to withdraw for the mont.

ng Lai and Danrus wore the worst expressions, while Yilijite and Rexiva felt a pang of unease creeping into their hearts—a faint sense of foreboding.

“You, co here! Make the captain speed up—get us out of these waters before sunrise!”

Yilijite urged a bodyguard he had randomly called upon to deal with the matter.

The bodyguard nodded respectfully but turned sharply as his expression twisted. He did head for the control room, but only to rendezvous with their own people.

The four of them remained unaware that the crew in the Royal Cruise’s control room had already been replaced by another group.

The volatile teenage rmaid alone could take on ten opponents, no problem.

The room’s door was struck by his tail, shutting again. He quickly returned to the bathtub, subrging his reddened, overheated tail in seawater, letting out a relieved sigh.

“Bad news! Soone tampered with the records in the biological lab!”

“Professor Lott’s biological research notebook is missing too!”

“The surveillance system has been hacked—all the footage we’re seeing now is fake!”

Danrus stared at the surveillance footage on his phone. Though they were right in the hallway, the caras showed no one there.

At the sa ti, Shang Lvxing noticed that the connection to his younger brother had been lost.

Yilijite frowned and said, “Have you noticed the ship’s speed seems off? Also—I feel like the ship is turning around?”

“Check the control room imdiately!”

Rexiva strode forward.

Yilijite followed closely behind.

ng Lai remarked, “You guys deal with the control room; Danrus and I will continue searching for Chu Zhan’s granddaughter.”

“Stop searching; that woman is definitely in the room! No wonder I’ve got my eye on her—she even has Experint 13599 wrapped around her finger with her beauty!”

Danrus’s gaze darkened as he looked at the door in front of him and said to Yilijite and Rexiva, “Forget the control room—send people over right away.”

“Our priority is to capture that woman and take the ‘Heart of the Deep Sea.’ Leave the rest to ‘him.’ After all, we’ve done enough for him already.”

The identity of this “him” was crystal clear to the four of them.

Without “his” permission and assistance, the Royal Cruise wouldn’t have entered Beicheng’s waters so easily.

Every year, the four funneled massive sums of money to “him” and dealt with countless shadowy figures for “him.” None of this had been ticulously calculated.

Danrus didn’t lower his voice while saying this—in fact, he raised it out of anger.

Ignoring the other three’s attempts to hush him, he continued ranting, “These Easterners—they’re the most dishonest people!”

anwhile, Lu Xining and the others, who had erged from hiding, heard every word Danrus said and exchanged glances, understanding one another’s intent.

Cheng Cang received a signal from Lu Xining and sent out the [Action] command.

Shang Lvxing instructed his team to begin encircling ng Lai and Danrus’s forces, eliminating them layer by layer.

The most formidable player was Ji Muye. His brief leave had brought reinforcents, who had now pinpointed the locations of the bombs aboard the ship and were in the process of neutralizing them.

All personnel who had worked in the biological lab researching mutated creatures had been subdued and restrained.

Cheng Cang glanced at the recovering teenage rmaid in the bathroom. A flicker of aning passed through his eyes as he hurried to replace several tubs of seawater for the rmaid, acting much like a devoted parent feeding their child.

“Good boy, replenish your energy well. Soon, we’ll fight side by side, and I promise we’ll get justice for you.”

First level, third level, fifth level…

Various factions were in motion, while Danrus received a ssage: [Idiot! Your stronghold has been destroyed!]

Not wanting to believe it, ng Lai imdiately summoned his remaining bodyguards.

No response.

They opened the tracking system aboard the Royal Cruise. Every bodyguard carried a tracker for monitoring their position and vital signs in real-ti.

Now, however! Half of their personnel had turned into gray dots. Seeing half of their signals gone in an instant, ng Lai’s expression transford into one of sheer horror, resembling a vengeful ghost.

He ordered the remaining bodyguards to gather on the top deck.

Lu Xining had Chu family loyalists sabotage the elevator system, setting up ambushes at the staircases.

Thus, ng Lai and Yilijite watched helplessly as the remaining red dots on the screen—a re half—turned gray one by one in just a few minutes.

She noticed Shang Lvxing’s unusual deanor and asked, “Did sothing happen to Haozi?”

The man nodded. “He went offline.”

Shang Lvxing furrowed his brow, his speech quickening. “Since ng Lai entered the room, Haozi has been offline. I’m worried sothing’s happened to him.”

Lu Xining remained unsure if Xi Juan had acted.

He pulled the ‘Heart of the Deep Sea’ from his chest and handed it to her, his tone steady and free of hesitation. “I’d like to know the secrets within the ‘Heart of the Deep Sea,’ but after seeing that rmaid, I feel… so things are better left unknown.”

Shang Lvxing: “Returning it to its rightful owner.”

At that mont, Danrus’s enraged shouts and the sound of bodyguards pounding on the door echoed from outside.

“Smash it! Kill them all today!”
