"Before we make our move, I should tell you about the biggest threats you’ll face. You’ve already t so of them, when we were attacked at the mansion. You’re aware of what the Commander, Jules Diamond, is capable of, so I don’t need to explain much about her. You should know this though, her sword is a special weapon, it’s known as a Relic Armant.
It’s called Caliburn, and it possesses the ability to channel and enhance flas. There are twelve other Relic Armants, and they are bestowed upon the strongest among the Knight Order. One of the other significant threats is the Vice-Commander, Siele Diamond, he was present during that attack, though you didn’t get to see him fight.
While he doesn’t possess a Relic Armant, he is quite formidable, a powerful Dual Blader with Water Magic," Explained Alphonse.
"Both their last nas are Diamond? Are they related?" Akila asked him.
"Yes, both of them are mbers of the Royal family, they’re siblings of the current Queen. There’s one more Royal in the Knight Order, and he’s a threat as well...Rione Diamond, the Captain of the First Knight Squad. He holds a Relic Armant, a large warhamr known as Mjolnir, at least I think that’s how it’s pronounced. He possesses Lightning Magic, and the hamr enhances his Magic-..."
"Hold on...Caliburn and Mjolnir are both fictional weapons in my old world, I didn’t think they were actually real," Remarked Akila in bemusent.
"Hm? Oh, now that I think about it, I believe the Relic Armants were created by a summoned Hero like you, about a millennium ago."
"Huh, cool."
"To continue...let’s move on to the Captain of the Second Knight Squad, Fyre Mozill. He possesses Fire Magic and a Relic Armant called Gungnir, a spear that can cut through almost anything."
"Pretty sure that’s also a fictional weapon in my old world."
"I see. Anyway, moving on to the Third Squad, and arguably the most dangerous one. You see, the Third Squad is made up of a group of powerful individuals known as The Irregulars. They once fought against the nation as well, but they were captured and brainwashed by the Queen’s forces. They possess Arcane Magic and are highly formidable, it is unfortunate that they were brainwashed into becoming weapons for the nation.
Alas, the brainwashing is too severe to undo, they are too far gone to be saved. And considering how dangerous they are, the only thing we can do for them is to put them out of their misery, by killing them," Replied Alphonse, putting on a somber tone.
"That’s awful...to be made to fight for your enemies while being brainwashed into thinking you’re fighting on the right side, how horrible," Responded Akila with a grimace.
"Yes, it is it quite unfortunate. One of them went through especially cruel treatnt...his na is Raven Kyzer, and in addition to the brainwashing, he was subjected to barbaric human experintation, put through a forbidden ritual known as the Homunculus Ritual and turned into a Monster. It is unforgiveable, what has been done to these poor, innocent people," Alphonse shook his head.
"Yeah, just hearing about it disgusts , I can’t even begin to imagine how they must have felt while being brainwashed and experinted on. Is there truly no way to save them?"
"No, there isn’t. Believe , my comrades and I tried everything possible to save them, but it was no use," Replied Alphonse, as he plastered a frustrated look on his face.
"Damn it...I’ll never understand how so people can be so heartless and cruel."
"Yes, quite so. Anyway, since we will likely end up having to face The Irregulars, you should know what they’re capable of. I’ll start with the Homunculus, he possesses a range of plasma-based attacks, fire, lightning and piercing beams from his eyes. And when cornered, he has the ability to transform into an unstoppable, berserk beast. Furthermore, he possesses Recovery Magic. He is a Brawler, with unrivaled physical strength. It won’t be easy to kill him."
"Yeah, that does sound pretty damn OP. But if it’s really true that the brainwashing can’t be undone, I’ll have no choice but to...to kill him," Replied Akila with a grimace, a slight look of confliction in his eyes.
"It seems he is still hesitant to kill, I hope he manages to overco that," Alphonse thought to himself with a frown, before responding, "Moving on, one of The Irregulars is the Captain of the Third Squad, Aster Stark. He is incredibly dangerous as well...he possesses a form of Arcane Magic called Telekinetic Magic, and he is effectively untouchable while it is active. However...I believe your Phase Shift Magic should be a natural enemy to his Magic.
He is also a highly skilled Dual Blader, so even if his Magic is ineffective against yours, he is still a threat. His blades are also Relic Armants, though I am not aware of the power they possess or their na.
Next, there’s Tacitus Drake. His Magic is quite troubleso, I believe it’s called Negation Magic or sothing like that, it negates all other Magic. In other words, once active, you won’t be able to use your Magic in his presence. He is a Pulverizer, utilizing a Relic Armant as well, a large sword that can expand in size."
"Negation Magic, huh? Yeah, that does sound like it’d be tough to deal with," Mused Akila with a look of concern.
"I’m sure you can handle it, you’ve improved significantly as of late. Next is, uh...well, I don’t rember her na, but she possesses Explosion Magic, which allows her to fire powerful explosive projectiles, and she is either a Brawler or a Martial Artist. She also possesses a Relic Armant, a pair of gauntlets that, if I’m not mistaken, magnify her strikes.
Then there are two assassins, I think one of them is the brother of the Explosion Mage, if I’m not mistaken. He possesses Blood Magic, which allows him to control and weaponize his own blood. And he uses a dagger Relic Armant, I believe it has the ability to generate poison.
The other assassin-...oh, wait. Actually, I think she might possess a Unique Template. She possesses Bone Magic, which allows her to create weapons using her bones. As for her weapon, it’s a Relic Armant known as Morningstar...it used to belong to one of my comrades, but it was taken from him after he was killed and given to her. It is a tal sphere covered in spikes, attached to a chain, and it can expand in size."
"Okay, so Telekinetic Magic, Negation Magic, Explosion Magic, Blood Magic and Bone Magic, plus the guy who was turned into a Monster called a Homunculus. They sound strong...I bet they would’ve been great allies if they hadn’t been brainwashed," Sighed Akila wistfully.
"Yes, they were...when they were on our side, it truly felt like we stood a chance in our rebellion," Nodded Alphonse, while thinking to himself, "Tch, I can’t believe I have to pretend like those damned Commoners were my allies, this is a blow to my pride. But, no matter, it’ll be worth it if he manages to kill even one or two of them. Hm? Wait, I feel like I’m forgetting soone."
"Okay, so there’s the six Irregulars, the Commander, Vice-Commander, and the Captains of the First and Second Squad. Is it just the ten of them that are serious threats?" Inquired Akila warily.
"No, there are others who are formidable, but these are the most dangerous individuals among the Knight Order. Others to take note of include Tilda Malachite, the woman with the scythe you fought at the mansion, she possesses Dark Magic. That scythe is also a Relic Armant, called Death Reaper. Its special ability is similar to your Magic, it can switch to an intangible form. And if it cuts you while in that form, it won’t inflict any physical damage, but it will drain your stamina," Alphonse inford him.
"Yeah, now that I think about it, I did feel that when her weapon phased through ," Recalled Akila with a nod.
"Indeed. There’s also Wein Beryl, the Vice-Captain of the First Squad, a Wind Mage. He possesses a Relic Armant known as Jingu, a staff that can extend. Oh, I just rembered, there’s one more individual considered to be a mber of The Irregulars...she does not possess Irre-...I an, Arcane Magic...-but she is quite powerful nonetheless. She is a formidable Light Mage, and she holds a Relic Armant as well, a whip that can extend. I do not rember her na, but she’s Raven Kyzer’s twin sister."
"I see...are there any other people who possess Arcane Magic? Or is it just The Irregulars, besides the twins, and ?"
"No, I don’t believe there are any others, Arcane Magic is extrely rare, it only appears in Commoners, and in the past, those with Arcane Magic were executed as soon as they awakened, as the Queen feared their power, labeling it as Irregular Magic, hence the na The Irregulars. But The Irregulars managed to evade execution and resisted the Queen’s forces. And after witnessing their imnse power, she decided to brainwash them and get them under her control instead of eliminating them."
"That’s so ssed up. Since I also possess Arcane Magic, maybe I’m the only one who can put those poor souls out of their misery and let them rest."
"Oh, I was just thinking the sa thing, perhaps you were destined to stop them," Nodded Alphonse, playing along, before adding, "The Queen and her followers are deplorable cowards. Whenever a serious threat arises, they always use The Irregulars on the front lines, they see them as nothing more than disposable tools. They force the brainwashed Irregulars to fight their battles while they themselves stay safe.
The only reason why the Commander herself appeared at the mansion was because she assud I’d be alone, if she knew I had you on my side, she likely would have sent The Irregulars instead, that cowardly bitch.
However, this also ans that, if we kill The Irregulars first, the rest of the Queen’s forces will fall quite easily. They may be powerful, but they are cowards, and we can use that to our advantage."
"Yeah, it won’t be easy, but we at least know what we need to accomplish on our path to victory. I’ll do my best to help you avenge your fallen comrades, Al, I’ll set this nation free from the grasp of its tyrannical rulers," Declared Akila with a sens of determination.
