"What you said makes sense, my daughter is indeed smart." Li Erhua looked proud.

The mother and daughter chatted as they walked, and for those used to rural life, an hour’s walk was nothing. Before they knew it, they arrived. Through the conversation, Shen Zian noticed that despite Li Erhua’s nurous flaws, she was good to her daughter.

Essentially not bad; perhaps with so subtle influence, she could be salvaged.

Arriving at the noodle shop, seeing the familiar facade, Shen Zian felt like she had just been here yesterday. But upon entering and seeing the significantly aged face of the owner, she was brought back to reality.

Ten years had passed!

She felt like she had died once, and in the blink of an eye, ten years had gone by.

The mother and daughter found a spot to sit and ordered two large bowls of vegetable and egg noodles. Li Erhua ate as if soone might snatch it from her, making loud noises that were not appealing and certainly not dignified. People around them cast odd glances their way.

Li Erhua didn’t feel embarrassed, she just poured the complintary side dish from the table into her bowl.

Shen Zian held her chopsticks with a composure that suggested good upbringing. It wasn’t exactly elegant, but it was quick and didn’t create discomfort. Instead, she exuded an aura of authority, even the noodle shop owner discreetly took notice.

"Young lady, have you been here before?" The noodle shop was near a school for military dependents, so the owner recognized many who frequented the place. Those people, regardless of age, were all quite distinguished.

This young lady before him wasn’t very old, but her calm, composed, and confident deanor surpassed even that of the military dependents.

The noodle shop owner found her exceedingly familiar.

"No, I’ve never been here." Shen Zian shook her head.

"Then co by often." The owner eagerly welcod.

Hearing the familiar words, she suddenly smiled, "Owner, give an extra marinated egg and I’ll definitely co more often." It was a habitual thing for her, always joking with the owner whenever she visited. The owner would always give an extra marinated egg, and she had brought many friends there for noodles.

Initially, it was just a casual remark, yet the owner paused for a mont: "Hey! You reminded of a frequent esteed guest from before."

"What esteed guest?" Shen Zian asked, interested.

"A battle hero." The owner said with a solemn and respectful expression, ultimately lanting, "Sadly, she sacrificed herself for the country. She was truly a young lady, yet accomplished feats that many n couldn’t achieve."

Shen Zian felt her eyes grow misty, "When did she sacrifice herself?"

"Must’ve been over ten years ago!"

"And you still rember?"

The owner looked earnest, "Of course, I rember. Not only , many people rember her. On the anniversary of her death every year, her forr comrades will visit for morials, then co here for a bowl of noodles."

Just as he finished speaking, three n walked in through the door, and the owner warmly greeted them.

Shen Zian clenched her chopsticks tightly, gazing steadily at the three who entered.

It was her childhood friend, bodyguard, and nesis.

Ti had left marks on all three. Ji Yuanjie, of the sa age as her, was now thirty-five, with much less of the playful and mischievous behavior from before, having matured a lot. Xiao Gong was young, nearly thirty, and no longer had the shyness of a new recruit.

Oh... the nesis’s face hadn’t changed much; still enchanting and alluring. However, his deanor had changed significantly. From her perceptive gaze, she could tell this guy must be cunning and sly.
