The repeated words played over and over in Leng Peixi’s ears, each ti cutting into her heart like a knife.

He was such a gentle and refined person, having spent his life in education, never having done anything against his conscience. But with Leng Peixi, he had suffered a huge setback, in his youth driven mad by love, and in the end, he hard his son.
Though Huo Linong was fully devoted to his educational career, his heart was not at peace. Due to his character, it was dood from early on that he could never shoulder the responsibilities that a man of the Huo Family should. All the responsibilities that should have been his were passed on to Bei Jiang.
As a father, his incompetence caused his son to sacrifice too much. Even so, Leng Peixi actually wanted to harm their son even in death, which made even him, with his good temper, snap.
“You, you, you… How dare you say this to ?” Leng Peixi never expected that one day Huo Linong would speak such harsh words to her, “Are you crazy?”
“It’s you who’s crazy.” Huo Linong said rcilessly, “I’ve long wanted to say these words, and the reason I never did was simply because I couldn’t be bothered! But today, I have to say them, you’re too vicious.”
Huo Linong was at his wit’s end, after hearing the words his son had soone convey yesterday, he could no longer control his anger. When he first heard that Leng Peixi was caught and was certainly sentenced to death, he actually had already let go of the past in his heart.
No matter who was right or wrong, it was all in the past. But when he heard about what Leng Peixi had done, he realized how naive he still was.
Even in death, she wouldn’t let others have peace, even if you let go, she would never let go.
