Chapter 1262: Chapter 1281: Bluffing

Sister Nan Fei told him she was going out for a walk to aid digestion, but she ended up being gone the entire afternoon, and now it’s dark and she still isn’t back.

Sister Nan Fei lied.

Jiang Yang blinked, feeling like crying.

The nanny, seeing his urgent state and wanting to comfort him a little, went to answer the ringing phone in the living room, overjoyed to hear it was Bei Jiang on the line.

After exchanging a few words on the phone, they called Jiang Yang over to take the call.

As soon as Jiang Yang picked up the phone, he said, “Why are you calling again?”

The nanny stood beside him, a look of astonishnt on her face.

On the other end of the phone, Huo Beijiang practically exploded, “Jiang Yang, are you asking for a beating? How many calls did I make this afternoon? You little brat didn’t answer a single one, and even hung up on directly. Are you trying to fly to the heavens?”

The shouting was so loud that the nanny could hear every word clearly. She wiped her cold sweat from ti to ti, silently thanking her lucky stars that The Great Devil wasn’t there, or else she would have been an innocent casualty. She went to the market to buy groceries that afternoon, and the commanding officer’s guard went out as well, leaving Jiang Yang ho alone.

Who knew he would decide not to answer the phone.

“I knew it was you who hung up on , who else could it be?”

“Sister Nan Fei has been out since this afternoon and hasn’t co back yet!” His implied ssage was that the person who was supposed to answer the phone wasn’t there, so he simply chose not to bother.

But Huo Beijiang wasn’t comforted by this at all and beca even more agitated.

“Where is she? Did she say anything when she went out? No, this won’t do, we must find her.” With that, he prepared to hang up and call Ning Di.

Jiang Yang looked out the door gloomily and saw Nan Fei returning with Fu Xinwu, then he sowhat unhappily said, “Sister Nan Fei is back.”

Huo Beijiang halted the action of hanging up the phone, his handso face darkened frighteningly.

As soon as Nan Fei walked into the living room, she sensed that the atmosphere was sowhat off. She blinked and looked at Jiang Yang, who huffed before saying, “Phone.”

“Oh!” Nan Fei hurried over to answer the call, “Hello, this is Jiang Nanfei.”

“It’s !” Huo Beijiang, originally wanting to scold soone, couldn’t bring himself to say anything harsh upon hearing his wife’s voice. He was now both worried and heartbroken, unable to sleep when he thought about the blood clot in his wife’s brain.

He was completely smitten with Nan Fei in this life.

He rembered when he was a boy, his grandmother had asked him if he liked little sister Nan Fei and suggested securing an engagent if he did.

He thought at the ti how pretty this little girl was, prettier than all the other girls in the courtyard, sweet enough to make one want to steal a kiss when she smiled.

Without even thinking, he had agreed resolutely. After the marriage agreent was made, his grandmother told him she would be his future wife, his person, and that he must protect, spoil, and treat her well. The little girl was so fair and cute back then, eager to play with him yet not brave enough to say so. He used to detest going to church with his grandmother, but after the engagent, he beca enthusiastic about going.

But now looking back, he might have been duped.

His grandmother probably just wanted to lure him to church.

Later, he went to school and left Qi Li Town, and by the ti he ca back, the little girl didn’t rember him. He had almost given up when, in the middle of the night, the girl lay on his bed like a seductive little demon.

Huo Beijiang still couldn’t forget how his heart raced, his yearning for her seemingly insatiable.

At that mont, he had decided he couldn’t let go.

“Hello? Bei Jiang? Why aren’t you speaking?” Nan Fei didn’t hear any response for a long while and thought there was a problem with the signal, “Is the signal bad? If so, shall I hang up so you can call back?”

“Wait! I can hear you.” Huo Beijiang snapped back to reality, only then realizing he had gotten lost in thought.

“That’s good, but you’re on a mission, aren’t you not allowed to call ho?”

PS: I was a bit more diligent today. Tomorrow I will continue to strive for more updates than today. Good night!
