Grandma Yan saw two small eyes with blue shade and almost jumped in the air and pointed her finger at Ye Qian's pocket.

"Little Qi, there is sothing in your pocket, quick throw it away."

She said with a loud voice feeling frightened.

The eyes of whatever she saw were not like any animal she had ever seen.

She had seen many snakes and other wild animals but the eyes looked even ferocious than a poisonous snake.

So she thought that perhaps unknown to him, a small snake might have entered his pocket and would bite him anyti soon.

"Huh?"

Ye Qian looked at the small sparrow who was looking at him with confused eyes and smiled.

"Mom, there is nothing, see."

Saying that Ye Qian carefully placed his open palm near his pocket.

"CHIRP CHIRP"

The little sparrow chirped and then climbed through Ye Qian's pocket and then at on his palm.

"Huh, what's that thing?"

Grandma Yan asked in confusion.

It was already night and with little to no light switched on in the house she could barely see anything.

And the eyes were also she had just seen because they were shining.

Granma Yan narrowed her eyes and then looked at the small thing in Ye Qian's palm and brought her hand near.

The small thing pecked a few tis on her hand so as to tickle her.

And that did happen.

"Ohh, so this is a small bird."

"Little Qi, where did you find this poor thing, was it shivering in the cold?"

Grandma Yan asked as she patted and rubbed the little sparrows head which the little one liked a lot and chirped a few tis in delight and pecked her hand a few more tis.

"Yes, mom."

Ye Qian could only nod at her.

"My dear."

Grandma Yan looked at the little sparrow pitifully and stroked her tail.

"Worry not, from how this is your house as well."

She thought that maybe this small sparrow would die if she were to stay out in such cold and there were barely any big trees in the cities which would act as a proper shelter for such creatures.

"CHIRP CHIRP"

The little thing nodded and chirped a few tis on Grandma Yan's palm.

"This little one is so nice."

Grandma Yan stroked her a few tis and then handed her to Ye Qian.

"Keep this little one next to the two other little birds."

What she ant was to keep the small sparrow with the two little girls.

"Hmm."

Ye Qian nodded and the small sparrow jumped on his shoulder while looking at Grandma Yan with starry eyes.

"You should go sleep now."

Ye Qian said as they were just a few steps away from the bedroom.

"Hmm."

"Sleep well, my child."

Grandma Yan stroked Ye Qian's head and smiled as she opened the door and walked in.

"Yes, mom."

Ye Qian nodded and waited for Grandma Yan to go to bed and after seeing her resting and pulling the blanket, he pulled the door.

"CLICK"

With a clicking sound, the door was shut and Ye Qian turned to the room where the two ladies were still waiting for him to co back.

With light steps, he walked to the door and knocked it.

"KNOCK KNOCK."

Ye Qian smiled as he could hear hurried footsteps and knew that it was his ngng who was rushing to open the door in his worry.

"CLICK"

"You are back."

And indeed it was Yuan ng.

Seeing him co back, a calm smile appeared on her lips as the slight weight on her heart was lifted.

"Hmm."

Ye Qian nodded and then caressed her cheeks.

He understood that she would not have been able to sleep all this long while he was out.

He even felt bad for her, but he was still happy because there were many small kids out there who were able to et their mothers, what was more he could be happy for.

And he knew that if he were to say it to Yuan ng now, she would in fact be filled with joy and would even scold him for not staying with the kids for so more ti.

Ye Qian walked into the room and saw that Ning Wei was also awake and was sitting by the corner of the bed while a smile hung on her face as she looked at him.

He smiled at her and then saw the two little girls who were snuggling in each other's embrace and were sleeping.

Ye Qian's heart felt warm and he pecked both of them on their head and caressed their hairs.

A small smile appeared on their lips and their breathing turned even more calm as they were now sleeping without any worry.

Though the two didn't want their mothers to be sad they were also worried about their papa and they could feel his presence now, so their sleep was now as calm as ever.

Ye Qian brought his palm on his shoulder and the small sparrow jumped on it while he placed her in between the two little girls.

Yuan ng and Ning Wei were confused as to why would he do sothing like this.

They had seen the small sparrow on his shoulder for a long ti since he arrived.

But they didn't ask about it, but they were surprised to see such a beautiful bird.

Nonetheless, it can be said that it was the most beautiful bird they might have ever seen.

But there was sothing sure odd about the sparrow though.

Usually, the room would be still a bit cool in this weather but not it was getting warr.

And it was even comfortable for them to sleep without feeling any cold and without a need for a blanket.

"Now you two should sleep, you have been awake for a long ti."

Ye Qian said while looking at the two with worry.

He could understand their worry for him, but their health was the most important to him.
