Queen dusa's voice, sharp and cold, gradually softened into sothing that almost sounded like concern.

From all directions, golden light began to converge toward him.

He dared not stay another second and fled toward Mo City without hesitation.
As Hai Bodong escaped, the rcenaries watching from a distance quickly dispersed in a panic.
Queen dusa watched him flee, then looked down at the unconscious Chen Mo in her arms.
Her jade-like fingers brushed gently across his face.
Monts later, a dark-golden pendant appeared in her hand.
Had Chen Mo been awake, he would've recognized it—it looked exactly like the one Butterfly had given him.
But unlike Butterfly's pendant, which was only half, this one was complete.
Queen dusa fastened the pendant around Chen Mo's neck. Then she picked up the fallen Green Lotus, cradled Chen Mo in her arms, and with a flap of her wings, soared toward the depths of the desert.
Mo City.
Inside a shop nad Gu Tu, Hai Bodong staggered through the entrance and collapsed against a shelf, falling to the ground.
Blood gushed from his mouth.
Then he noticed his cultivation was falling rapidly—from a five-star Dou Huang, he dropped to three stars just during his flight.
Now, he had fallen to two-star Dou Huang.

No matter what thods he tried, he couldn't halt the decline.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" one Snake-Person shouted in alarm.
A red glow streaked through the air.
The squad leader smacked the panicked soldier on the head. "Quiet! It's Her Majesty the Queen!"
"Her Majesty... seems injured..."
"She's still holding that human. Is he dead?"
Snake-People Royal Palace.
Ever since Queen dusa left, the entire Snake-People tribe had been on high alert. The usual number of patrol guards had been doubled.
Day and night, the palace remained under tight security.
Yue Nu led a squad of royal guards patrolling the outer walls.
Suddenly, a piercing sound echoed from the horizon. Yue Nu instinctively looked up.
Under the moonlight, a crimson glow was speeding toward the palace.
The soldiers on the walls couldn't see clearly and raised their crossbows in alarm.
"It's Her Majesty! Lower your weapons!" Yue Nu shouted sharply.
The soldiers imdiately lowered their crossbows in unison.
Queen dusa landed on the palace walls. Yue Nu's pupils contracted, her expression turning tense.
"Your Majesty—you're injured!"
Yue Nu saw her pale complexion and the bloodstains across her fair skin.
Without a word, Queen dusa held Chen Mo close and headed into the palace. As she walked, she commanded:
"Send word to Elder Baru. Also, place the Snake-People Tribe on Level One Alert. Notify the Three Great Elders to summon the Eight Tribal Leaders to defend the royal city."
"Defend the royal city?!"
Yue Nu was stunned. What on earth had happened?
Still, she responded quickly: "Understood!"
