"You... You think this Queen would get jealous over you? Don’t flatter yourself!" The dusa Queen’s bright almond eyes widened as she glared sharply at Chen Mo.
"I never said I ant you," Chen Mo replied with a cheerful grin.
Then he playfully pinched the Queen’s smooth thigh and said, "Alright, ti to do Die Baby’s turn. Switch places with her."
Though he clearly preferred his Queen Baby a little more, he wasn’t the type to show favoritism in this kind of matter.
If he had painted the Queen’s nails, then Die naturally couldn’t be left out.
Die, feeling a spark of excitent, glanced at her sister’s voluptuous, graceful figure. She gave her a light pat on the waist and said, "Sister, it’s my turn now."
The dusa Queen snorted softly. "What’s there to fight over?"
"Then why don’t you move?"
"..."
Unwillingly, the dusa Queen switched places with her sister and reclined toward the inner side of the couch.
Die half-sat up, propping a pillow behind her back. As her slender fingers brushed the storage ring on her hand, a folded black robe appeared.
"Chen Mo," she said softly, "I finished sewing this robe for you. Take off the one you’re wearing and let nd it."
Holding the neatly folded robe, Die’s delicate face flushed faintly as her eyes swept over Chen Mo’s white robe — now tattered from battle.
Chen Mo looked down at himself and chuckled. The white robe, indeed sewn by Die herself, was badly torn.
"Alright then." He slipped it off and handed it to her, then unfolded the new black robe and tried it on.
Die’s eye for detail and her craftsmanship were exceptional — the robe fit perfectly, tailored to his build.
The fabric was light yet elegant, and when he put it on, even the last traces of youthful softness on his face seed to disappear, replaced by calm confidence.
Chen Mo blinked and nodded approvingly. Then, with a teasing tone ant to rile up the Queen, he said, "Still, Die Baby treats best. Co here, give a kiss."
He sat back down beside her and lowered his head to kiss her — ignoring the dusa Queen entirely.
Die knew it was wrong... but the image of her sister having once stolen the man she loved flashed through her mind.
Now, kissing him in front of her sister felt like a small, justified revenge.
Her slender arms looped around Chen Mo’s neck as she returned the kiss — even deepening it of her own accord.
The dusa Queen’s eyes went wide.
What are you two doing?
What are you doing?!
I’m still right here!
Her chest rose and fell violently with anger, and her expression turned to ice as she yanked Die away.
"What do you two think you’re doing?!" she snapped coldly.
Die’s face flushed scarlet, her heart racing from the rebellious thrill.
"Kissing," she answered simply.
The dusa Queen: "..."
Her little sister... actually talked back.
Seeing the Queen’s expression grow colder, Chen Mo quickly produced a small box and handed it over.
"Queen Baby, try this lip balm — it’s herb-flavored."
After appeasing the Queen, Chen Mo resud painting Die’s nails.
The dusa Queen, realizing the situation was already settled, sighed softly and said,
"This Queen will no longer object to you and my sister. However... your relationship with Yun Yun must end."
It was a compromise — a reluctant retreat.
She thought to herself: Now that my sister and I both serve him, his heart should finally settle.
But before Chen Mo could respond, Die tilted her head and said,
"Sister, I was actually the first one with him. That should be my line to say."
The Queen shot her a sharp glare, thinking, If I let you take the lead, this bed would already have more than just the two of us sisters lying on it.
"Queen Baby, Die Baby," Chen Mo said, smiling as he tried to smooth things over. "You two are the ones I love most. No one else can compare — not even a fraction."
The Queen didn’t buy it for a second, but Die, ever tender-hearted, lted imdiately and replied,
"You’re the one I love the most — there’s no one else."
The dusa Queen: "???"
"Sister," she snapped, "don’t fall for his lies! He told the sa thing before — that I was his most beloved. Now suddenly it’s us? It’s an obvious lie!"
Die frowned sadly. "Before I went into seclusion, I asked you to take good care of Chen Mo. And what did you do? You took such good care of him that he ended up in your bed."
"..."
The Queen froze. You silly girl, now’s not the ti to fight each other! We need to be united!
Otherwise, those fox-like won around him would only multiply.
anwhile, Chen Mo had already finished painting Die’s nails. He gently stroked her hair and said warmly,
"Get so rest, both of you. I’ll go refine so Serpent Essence Powder to help you recover."
"Mm." Die nodded obediently.
Smiling, Chen Mo left the room.
The mont the door closed behind him, he let out a long breath, feeling utterly drained.
When he was alone with either the Queen or Die, he could handle it just fine.
But when both sisters were together... the pressure was imnse.
Outwardly calm, but inwardly in chaos.
After taking a few monts to steady himself, Chen Mo hurried off to the next room to refine pills.
——
Inside the chamber.
The dusa Queen lay on her side, staring at Die.
"Sister, what’s wrong with you? Don’t tell you’re too naïve to see through that bastard’s scheming."
"I’m not stupid. Of course I can see it," Die replied, her once-sweet deanor now shadowed by worry and complexity.
"Then why—"
"But what else can I do? What would you have do, Sister? Stab him again like last ti? And in the end, you couldn’t even bring yourself to kill him."
"That doesn’t an we can just let him have his way! We’ve both fallen into his hands, and he still isn’t satisfied." The dusa Queen’s fury simred.
"Of course not."
Die turned to face her sister, their gazes eting as their snake tails swayed slightly beneath them.
"We may not be able to stop him from finding other won, but we can secure our place in his heart. Even if he takes more lovers later — so what? We’ll still be the ones he calls his Queens."
"Hm?"
The dusa Queen frowned. That kind of reasoning — so tolerant, so compromising — only made her angrier.
"That scoundrel doesn’t deserve it! We’ve both already given ourselves to him, and he still dares to wander? I could never be as soft as you."
"Then what do you plan to do?"
"Kill." The dusa Queen’s eyes glead dangerously. "If I can’t bring myself to kill him, then I’ll kill them. Any woman who dares get close to him — this Queen will kill every single one."
"Aren’t you afraid he’ll hate you for that?"
"Hate ?" The dusa Queen’s tone was sharp, though her voice softened slightly at the end.
"He... he wouldn’t dare."
