The wedding planner went with Andrew and his entourage first. Everyone else divided. Those who wanted to remain with Maxwell and keep him company as he travelled to the island, and those who wanted to get their seats ahead of ti.

It ant that Andrew had a rather large group coming with him to the boat first. Andrew didn’t delude himself into thinking that they all wanted to be with him, they just wanted their seats. It wasn’t a negative thought for him either, which was a bit surprising to Andrew. It was just...a truth, and he didn’t hurt from it either.

Those who were staying with him were Ford, Thomas and Kim. She had been unfortunately busy since the morning as sothing had happened at the company, but she was here now. Andrew had heard her telling everyone that she wasn’t about to miss her nephews wedding because of their fuck up, and at this point she’d given them enough information to figure their shit out.

She had put her foot down, and while Andrew was worried about how her company would take her response, Kim didn’t seem to care. She held onto Andrew’s hand, a smile on her face while Ford walked at Andrew’s other side. Thomas was even smiling, which was a rarity for the man while the group ahead of them laughed and joked.

The atmosphere was so joyous and happy that it made Andrew’s heart warm.

He was getting married. He was getting married to Maxwell.

Andrew couldn’t stop how his lips twitched with happiness.

Due to ti constraints, everyone was going to get on the sa boat. However, Maxwell was going to be tucked into a part of the huge boat that Andrew was not going to be allowed into. Andrew and co went to the back of the boat where they had blocked all visuals of the entrance of the boat so that Andrew couldn’t see anything.

Andrew thought it was poor planning on their part to have Andrew go first when Maxwell was the one who had to tuck himself away, but he didn’t voice it. He didn’t want to say that the wedding planner had ssed up this one tiny detail since she had been doing a wonderful job keeping this chaos together.

Andrew got to a seat that was decorated for him. He had a feeling that it was either Maria or Amir who had done sothing like that. It had banners for the groom to be and sparkles. It completely clashed with Andrew’s outfit, but he didn’t care.

He was pretty sure the only thing that could go with his outfit was Maxwell’s.

To soone who was just glancing at him, it was a plain, black tux with a white dress shirt. It was in the tiny details that made this sothing so unique and perfect for Andrew and Maxwell that it made his heart ache.

The shirt wasn’t completely white. It had tiny, tiny stripes, vertical, that added a hint of amber to the shirt. It made it look shiny if you caught it in the right light. Inside you couldn’t catch the artwork that was this suit in the right light, but as soon as they had stepped into the sun Andrew could hear how those who caught it had gasped. Andrew had smirked. That was his man.

The jacket and pants weren’t plain either. The lapels were a deep, rich black and they were kept normal, while the rest of the suit was made so that it was unique to Andrew and Andrew alone. Small bouquets of flowers were imprinted into the fabric all over. There were several different designs for the bouquets as well. Andrew had found about 5 at this point, but he had been told that there were more. Almost all of them were unique. Andrew was surprised at that level of work put into sothing that he was going to only wear once, but he didn’t voice it.

Especially since this was a small thing that Maxwell and Luis had done to keep Andrew’s Mom close. He knew that was what they had done. Andrew tried to contain himself so that he didn’t cry before he’d even seen Maxwell. That wasn’t allowed.

His bowtie was done in the sa fabric as his jacket, tied by Ford because he would let no one else do so. It was one of the few tis that Ford hadn’t bent to anyone else, and Thomas and Kim had stepped back, smiles on their faces. Andrew was glad that no one was upset by Ford’s insistence.

While Andrew loved Kim, Ford...Ford had been the one he had gone to as a kid when he was concerned about what was going on between his parents and what would happen if he didn’t turn out to be what everyone wanted him to be. Big thoughts, big questions for a kid, and Ford? He hadn’t even batted an eyelid at it. He’d accepted Andrew’s worries as real worries and gave him words that he needed to hear.

Ford was a special existence for him. That was it.

It was during the ti that Andrew was waiting with the last of their guests and the wedding planner had gone to fetch Maxwell that Thomas received a call. Andrew thought it was a bit weird, but Thomas had simply smiled at Andrew, excused himself, and walked away a few paces to answer the phone.

It seed to be a rather serious conversation, and Andrew was surprised that he couldn’t hear it. However, Thomas didn’t look pissed. He looked...resigned. Andrew had no idea what that ant and Kim, who was closer to Thomas’ position, patted Andrew’s hand that she was still holding.

"I can hear him faintly. Nothing to worry about, Andy. Just sothing similar to what I had to deal with. He’s nipping it in the bud now." Kim told him and Andrew nodded, relieved. He was glad that Kim could hear it so that Andrew didn’t have to wonder.

When Thomas ca back only a few minutes later, he was all smiles.

"I just got word from Luis that they are almost at the boat. Only a few more minutes until showti, Andy." Thomas said, reaching out and squeezing Andrew’s shoulder in excitent before taking his seat next to Ford. Andrew felt a goofy grin touch his lips.

"I’m going to bawl like a baby when I see Maxy." Andrew muttered, already feeling his chest tighten at just the thought of him in his wedding outfit. Maxwell hadn’t told him what he was wearing, but he knew it was going to be fancy. It was his Maxwell, after all. He never did anything simple.

Kim squeezed his hand, grinning.

"I’m sure he accounted for that. He probably wants to see you cry at the sight of him." Kim teased, and Andrew grinned.

"There’s nothing wrong with crying." Ford said calmly. "I bawled at the sight of May in her dress as well." Ford sounded distant for a mont, reminded of the mont. It was clear from the smile that it was a fond one and Andrew laughed softly.

"I’m glad I’m in good company then." Andrew said and Ford’s expression unclouded and he grinned.

"Of course you are. I’m sure these two are just trying to put on a brave face, but I can’t imagine either of them being composed on their wedding days either." Ford said, giving both of them a pointed look. Kim laughed loudly, her smile wide.

"Oh I absolutely cried. Jenny was so pretty there was no way I was going to keep it together. I was scolded by my father for my reaction later, but I didn’t care. She was mine, both by law and by heart." Kim said, a glint in her gaze. Thomas’ laughter was a bit lighter.

Andrew glanced over at him to find the man smiling fondly, shaking his head.

"I think the reason why Luis tries to have such a serious and big wedding is because we had a bit of a shotgun wedding. I didn’t cry at the wedding itself, but I cried when I found her and marked her." Thomas said. "Wept like a baby." He said, amused and Andrew was glad to hear all of their stories.

It was taking his mind off of where Maxwell was and how close their own mont was drawing.

Thomas’ phone seed to go off again, but this ti when Thomas checked it, he grinned, his gaze sliding to Andrew just as the boat started to rumble. Soone had turned it on, which ant...

"Maxy’s landed. We’re ready to go." Thomas said. Andrew felt his heart stutter and stumble in his chest. It was happening. They were on their way to get married.

Andrew watched out the window like a hawk, listening to the others chat amongst themselves as his head filled with the words he planned to say to Maxwell, the vows that they had agreed on, everything. He was so worried that he was going to ss sothing up.

He didn’t want to ruin Maxwell’s perfect wedding.

His heart jerked at that thought, and thankfully, the months of therapy kicked in to point fingers at his way of thinking.

It wasn’t just Maxwell’s wedding. It was Andrew’s wedding as well. It would be perfect only if they ended up married at the end of it. Everything else? A mont of stuttering, sothing not going as planned, what have you, was okay. The end result was more important than how they got there.

Maxwell hadn’t even wanted to get married before Andrew, and Andrew needed to rember that. Everything was going to be okay. He had this.

The island approached and Andrew’s heart punched him in the solar plexus. His nerves were getting to him, but he was okay. It was normal for soone to be nervous on their wedding day.

Andrew let out a shaky breath as the boat pulled in and the crew got to work making sure that they were docked. Kim gave Andrew’s hand a squeeze.

"You look beautiful and the day is a little cloudy. It’s a perfect day for a wedding." Kim told him, her eyes wet with unshed tears. Unspoken words that Andrew was grateful she didn’t say or he’d bawl.

"I’m glad the weather held out." Andrew whispered. Thomas grabbed a water bottle from nearby, passing it to Andrew. Andrew gave him a grateful look as he unscrewed it and took a long sip. That was one thing he would be upset about.

Squeaking in front of Maxwell at the altar. Or, er, arch.

He was taking a few deep, calming breaths when the wedding planner showed up, smiling brightly.

"The guests are off the boat. It’s ti, Andrew." She said, her eyes sparkling. Andrew nodded, putting the bottle down and getting to his feet. He was a little unstable due to nerves and the fact that he was on a boat.

Everyone was there for him, supporting him, and Andrew felt their love for him through their gentle touches.

This was going to be perfect. Andrew knew it. It would be perfect for them.
