The sound of knocking on a door slowly roused Andrew from his slumber. Groaning, he flexed his arms around the man beside him, grumbling at the disturbance.

"Andy! Max! Are you well enough to join us for lunch?" It took Andrew a mont to recognise the voice, and when he did, his eyes shot open. He sat up, Maxwell groaning as he suddenly lost his heater. Andrew scrambled for his glasses, panicking when he didn’t find them imdiately but cald down when he found them not on the nightstand, but in it.

"Andy? What’s wrong?" Maxwell mumbled, his voice deep with sleep. Andrew shoved his glasses on and turned his now clear gaze towards his partner. He looked all sleep mused and so damn adorable that Andrew almost forgot why he’d gotten up so quickly in the first place.

"Andy? Max? Are you alive?" Maxwell frowned, rubbing his eyes as he sat up more, before he groaned.

"God. How much did I drink last night? Is that my Mother at the door?" Maxwell asked, his face scrunching up with pain as Andrew assud his head throbbed. Andrew threw his legs over the side of the bed, getting out and making sure the bottoms of his pjs weren’t too low. He turned and leaned in, kissing Maxwell’s forehead as he chuckled.

"You drank far too much last night, but you seed to be having a good ti. I didn’t drink as much, just to keep an eye on you." Andrew told him, mischief in his gaze. "No doubt the photographers had the ti of their lives last night, along with anyone who was watching." Maxwell’s gaze widened.

"Who was watching? What are you saying? What did I do last night?" Oh, Andrew was going to love rubbing this in his face if he didn’t regain his mories. Andrew grinned at Maxwell, and resisted ruffling his hair since he must have a huge headache coming in. Instead, he chuckled to himself and stepped away, heading for the door.

He opened it just in ti to stop Mrs. Beckett from knocking on the door for what he’d heard, the third ti.

"Good morning, Mrs. Beckett." Andrew greeted, a slight smile on his lips. Her eyes widened as she took in Andrew’s form, before her face turned red. She covered her mouth and Andrew furrowed his brows. He had checked to make sure he wasn’t showing off anything he shouldn’t. It was just his chest. Was there sothing-

Andrew felt his cheeks heat as he rembered what Maxwell had been up to and he covered his face with his hand.

"I am so sorry." Andrew mumbled and Mrs. Beckett let out a nervous giggle.

"Why are you apologising? I am glad to see that you two, uh, get along well." She sounded like those words were a struggle to get out of her mouth, and Andrew only felt his face heat more. This was not the side he wanted to show Maxwell’s parents. Hell, he never wanted them to know any of the details.

He himself had stepped out advertising that Maxwell had a set of wandering hands, and mouth, and he was sure she wasn’t the only one who saw him. He groaned.

"Max and I are just getting up. We didn’t get to sleep until late last night." He told her and she coughed.

"W-Well, I can tell." Andrew cursed himself. He shouldn’t have said that!

"W-Well, yes, there’s that, but-"

"Andy! Carry to the bathroom! I can’t walk!" Maxwell called behind them and Andrew trembled while Maxwell’s Mom shook. His grip on the door tightened as he wished the floor would open up and swallow him whole.

She finally snapped, and Andrew worried she was going to yell at him when instead, she burst into laughter. She folded, holding her sides as she laughed and Andrew stared down at her, worried.

"Mrs. Beckett?" He asked, worried, and she held up a hand, telling him to wait as she continued to laugh. Andrew wasn’t sure what he should do while she laughed, until she composed herself, her eyes dancing as she looked him over.

"Andy, I’m not upset in the slightest. There is no need to look so stricken. You two are adults, and I’m the last person I know who would be able to criticize you." She couldn’t stop chuckling, while Andrew covered his face with his hand still.

"I just...this is the last way I wanted you to see ." Andrew muttered and she shook her head.

"Why? I think it’s adorable. I always knew that Max was going to be bossy, I just didn’t realise how much he was a little tyrant." She chuckled, unable to stop herself. "Sorry, I’m not laughing at you. I just...he’s very dedicated, isn’t he?" Andrew closed his eyes, biting his lip.

He could not, and never would tell her, that Maxwell was ta in comparison to Andrew. He would rather die than have her find out that Maxwell was normally the one covered in marks.

Andrew sighed and hung his head, his face burning.

"We’ll...clean up and join you when we’re ready." Andrew muttered, defeated and she reached up, patting his shoulder.

"Max should know where to find us. We’ll see you when you’re ready. Maybe...wear a shirt? A turtleneck if you have one? I think I see a hickey." Andrew vibrated.

"O-Of course." Andrew mumbled and she chuckled. She kept patting his shoulder.

"It’s okay, Andy. I promise. I will...keep my teasing to a minimum." She told him cheerfully, but Andrew knew Maxwell. He was screwed, since she was the source he ca from.

"It’s...okay. I’ll get back at him for this later." Andrew muttered and she giggled.

"Well, let know when you do. We’ll see you soon." She stepped away with a bright smile, waving as she headed down the hallway and Andrew turned, entering the room and closing the door behind him. He covered his face with his hands, groaning.

"What’s wrong?" Maxwell’s soft words filled his ears even if he didn’t move from the bed.

"Your Mom was at the door, and saw all the marks you left on ." Andrew told him, and Maxwell scoffed.

"So? You leave in ten tis the condition I left you in." He said. "Every damn ti. I’m getting tired of wearing high necked dress shirts with tight ties, Andrew." Okay. So maybe this was a taste of his own dicine. But Maxwell just bruised so easily and so prettily that Andrew couldn’t stop himself.

He groaned again.

"You needed to go to the bathroom, yeah? Let help you." Andrew ignored what Maxwell said and moved towards him. Maxwell held his arms out to the taller man and Andrew scooped him up, carrying the man easily to the bathroom and Maxwell took control from there.

Andrew left him to it as he rifled through his suitcase, looking for sothing that could cover his neck.

Thank god he’d packed a maroon turtleneck sweater. Soone was looking out for him. He even had a pair of beige pants to go with it, and if he finished it off with a belt, he’d look fine.

At least, that was what he thought until he pulled on the sweater and realised that it was very tight.

Maxwell ca out of the bathroom at the sa ti and caught sight of Andrew in the sweater and nearly collapsed with laughter. Andrew flushed and realised that he was just not going to catch a break today.

"Dear lord, are you trying to seduce my whole family?" Maxwell asked in between giggles. "What are you, Clark Kent? Take off your glasses, is superman your alter ego?" Maxwell, despite looking like death, was least in a good mood. Andrew was pouting, not in a good mood.

"I was just-your Mom said I should wear a turtleneck." Andrew sighed, looking at himself in the full length mirror nearby. "Does it really look that bad?" Andrew asked and Maxwell wobbled over to him.

"You look very sexy." Maxwell told him. "Too sexy. I’m worried soone is going to hit on you." Andrew gave Maxwell a disbelieving look and Maxwell gave him a shocked look. "Do I look like soone who would lie?" He pressed a hand against his chest, his big, blue eyes wide. The contrast was the deep circles under his eyes and the sallow look to his skin.

"You look like soone who should still be in bed." Andrew countered and Maxwell stuck his tongue out at him.

"You’re the one who answered the door. If you didn’t get up, she might have left us alone." Andrew didn’t believe that for a second, and neither did Maxwell. Andrew sighed, rubbing his face.

"Did you want to get a shower before we left?" He asked and Maxwell humd and hawed for a second.

"Mm, no. Let’s get a bath when we get back. I’ll just give myself a quick wipe down so I don’t stink of alcohol. Mmm, wait, I think I’ll need your help. God. Can you grab so pain ds and et in the bathroom?" Maxwell asked, resting his head against Andrew’s arm and Andrew sighed, a smile touching his lips.

"Yeah. I can do that. Do you need my help to get back to the bathroom?" Andrew asked and Maxwell groaned.

"No. Maybe. No, I’ll get there. God, I shouldn’t drink like that again." Maxwell mumbled and Andrew couldn’t help but chuckle. He rarely saw Maxwell like this, but it was so stinking cute even though he was in pain that he forgave him montarily for last night.

"So, I should stop you when you’re on a shots tear?" Maxwell groaned.

"Absolutely. I don’t normally do shots." Andrew, who had drank with him quite a bit, chuckled.

"Alright. I’ll keep that in mind for the next function we attend. Now, get your cute butt into the bathroom while I go grab so pain dication." Maxwell sighed, rubbing his forehead against Andrew’s arm before he pulled away, looking exhausted.

"Alright." He mumbled and practically wiggled into the bathroom. Andrew couldn’t help but laugh at him. Okay. Maybe he was getting his karmic retribution for last night. Andrew was a softie anyways. He wasn’t going to remain upset forever.
