As Kurt believed, that battle dragged on for days on end.
***
When Kurt’s dagger flew, passing directly through the [ANTIBODY], as if it wanted nothing to do with that monstrosity, the creature turned its head, confused, not noticing the smile on Kurt’s lips, but even more confused, after understanding that Kurt didn’t had approached to strike him.
"Let’s see if you can handle this..." Kurt said, grinning wide and evil.
The dagger crossed the distance until it hit a distant tree.
On the tree, an extrely thick rope, which had taken Kurt several hours the night before to braid, was tied.
Not thick enough that the dagger’s blade wouldn’t be able to cut, it caught sothing very heavy, tensing its entire length.
And when the dagger went through the rope, like a hot knife through butter, the taut length of that rope, firmly tied to the tree, broke.
In addition to launching it with a whip effect, with all its force, towards the confused monster, the rope had also released what it was holding on to.
A huge boulder ca flying towards the monster, from the top of the trees, making the sound of breaking branches echo all around them.
Kurt only had to count the seconds, until the [ANTIBODY] jumped to the side, seeing the huge rock crush everything where that thing had been, less than two seconds before.
Kurt grinned.
’Now for the fun part.’
And he threw himself against the monster, which had not managed to completely regain its balance, due to the surprise of the extrely stealthy and cunning attack.
But it still wasn’t enough.
He needed closeness, to unite the strength of his arms with the lethal sharpness of his dagger.
With a violent thrust of his legs, Kurt covered the distance between him and the monster in the blink of an eye, and when the creature realized what was happening, this ti, it couldn’t wrap itself up in a protective cocoon made of its arms and legs. , as he had done the previous ti.
Kurt got as close as he could, and in a simple and precise movent, described a downward arc with the blade of his dagger pointed downwards, towards the creature’s trapeze.
A gush of blue blood was expelled from where the dagger had struck, piercing quite deeply into the monster’s shoulder.
Unfortunately for Kurt, however, the creature was much more resilient than the other [ANTIBODIES] he had faced, even if the one before that had been particularly difficult.
The monster stood up, with the blade still lodged in its shoulder, and delivered a powerful blow to Kurt’s ribs.
He, in turn, only had enough ti to react to raise his leg and compress the right side of his body, trying to reduce the contact area of the enemy’s fist against his internal organs as much as possible.
The pain made Kurt see stars.
No matter how much stronger he got, Kurt was still human, and consequently, vulnerable to extre pain.
However, as he took distance, retrieving his weapon as he went, Kurt had two monts of understanding there.
The first, finally discovering that the creature was not invulnerable to short-range attacks.
And the second, in realizing that, even though he was still human...
He was so much stronger and more resilient that that blow, which years before had broken the trunk of a tree over him, had done nothing more than make him see stars.
And that made a smile of joy cross Kurt’s lips.
He finally felt like he was a few steps closer to returning ho.
Now it was just a matter of tolerating the passage of ti, and creating more openings so he could finally deal so fatal damage to the monster.
However, to Kurt’s surprise, from that mont on, the hunter stopped hunting him.
Starting to run away whenever he saw his torntor.
Kurt couldn’t help but feel ecstatic, seeing that his pursuer of so many years, at that mont, had finally beco the prey.
However, that still proved to be an obstacle, in a way, in Kurt’s path.
After all, the [ANTIBODY] was fast.
And even though it wasn’t as silent as Kurt, it was capable of covering long distances in the blink of an eye.
So Kurt needed to co up with a concrete and effective plan to not just find his prey.
But to be able to keep her within reach of a direct confrontation, so that only then can Kurt have any chance of killing him.

Hours passed and turned into days, and under the weight of several sleepless nights, Kurt had finally managed to forge a plan solid enough to reach the monster.

On Kurt’s ho world, however, things didn’t seem to be going as well as they should.
Octavius had not shown any signs of life in the days that had passed.
And even though he seed to have disappeared from the face of the earth, unable to be found even by his subordinates, the massacre of the regulars still followed, day after day.
lissa, on the day of the eting to form the task force, had expressed the emotions and indignation of all the wielders present at the Japanese representative house.
With that scream, an almost bestial roar that released all the anger and frustration she had, she set the souls of everyone present there on fire.
"You’re not going to let that happen again, are you?" She asked, looking directly at Evellyn, as if she had sothing to do with it.
The pri minister, with a shadow of sorrow crossing his face, cleared his throat and said.
"I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that I agree with Miss Stormshield’s words. Those in favor of forming the task force, please raise your hands."
There wasn’t a single hand that didn’t go up in that huge auditorium.
And, seeing that as the clear sign of unanimity that all the raised hands represented, the pri minister said.
"From this mont on, everyone present in this room, until this crisis is finally overco, is at the service of Task Force Shadow..."
