"Unless all the n in the city follow behind her like puppies, she would never stop seducing n. A peacock is more humble than that woman."
"Ummm...."
"Ummm..."
The two won did not know how to react to her words. They did not dare to cross her or Helena. So, they awkwardly smiled and excused themselves.
What they did not expect was, as soon as they turned around, they faced Helena.
They froze on the spot, scared that she would take her anger out on them. "Helena." They greeted with trembling voices.
Helena did not care about them. She just smiled at them in reply, before looking at the woman.
The woman scoffed, not caring that Helena had heard her words at all.
"So, Faye, tell . Whom did I seduce exactly?" Helena crossed her arms and asked her.
Faye did not back down either. She crossed her arms just as arrogantly as Helena did and spoke haughtily, "Don’t you know? Vernon and Leon are the clear examples right before our eyes. Aren’t satisfied now that you got Vernon? Why are you here parading around like a peacock?"
"You an that I shouldn’t attend any events once I get married? Wow. Faye, can you please tell which century you are living in?" She looked around and found soone. She pointed her finger at that person and asked, "Say, isn’t that your mother? She has been married to your father for so many years. Why is she parading around here like a peacock? Isn’t she satisfied with your father alone?"
"You!! How dare you talk about my mom like that?" Faye was angered, and her face turned red.
"Hey. Don’t bla now. I am just saying the sa thing you told . If I can’t attend a party just because I am married, then I wonder why there are so many married won here. And, of course, that includes your mother as well." Helena did not care how harsh her words sounded. She did not change her expression from the start to the end. She looked as casual as if she was chatting about the weather and nothing else.
"Stop acting too smart with , Helena. Are you and the other married won the sa? They are here to attend the party but what about you? You are here to seduce people, and everyone knows that. Otherwise, why would you attend Leon’s party for no reason when you have never attended it before in so many years?"
"Huh? What nonsense are you talking about? Just because I attended Leon’s birthday, it ans I am here to seduce people? Which eye of yours saw anywhere near any n here, huh? Even if I went near soone and had a conversation, so what? Just because I am too charming, shouldn’t I talk to others at all? What stupid logic is that? Just because you are jealous of my charms, you shouldn’t talk about like that, okay? Otherwise, your IQ would be seen by everyone here." Helena did not back down and spat back at her.
"You shaless! How dare you call yourself charming? How are you charming? You are nothing but disgusting." Faye lost her composure and pointed her finger at Helena in anger.
"Oh? Am I disgusting? Then what are you so worried about? If I am disgusting, I won’t be able to ’seduce’ anyone, right? Isn’t that what you want as well? You are the one announcing to everyone how charming I am and that I can seduce all the n in the city, right?" Helena snickered.
"What? When did I announce that you are charming?" Faye blinked her eyes as she did not understand.
"Just earlier. You don’t rember? Do you have a problem with holding your mories? I think you should et a doctor to check you... you know?" She pointed her finger at her head as she said the last sentence.
Faye took a few seconds to understand what she ant before she raged, "Helena. How dare you? You are saying I have problems with my head. You!! Wait and see! I will tell my dad."
"Yeah, yeah. Little children like you would, of course, like to complain to their parents when they face the people they can’t beat. I understand. Go and tell him. I will wait for your daddy to co and scold ," Helena wasn’t scared but was only more amused by her words and actions.
"What? You an I can’t beat you? How can you say that?" Faye gritted her teeth.
"Hey hey. I didn’t say anything. You are the one saying everything from the start. I am just trying to understand your words and your actions. That’s all. Since you want to cry to your daddy, go ahead. Do I look like I am scared? Shoo. I can’t even understand what you are worried about my presence here for. Shoo, shoo." She waved her hand at Faye as she shooed her away.
Faye was stunned. No one had ever shooed her away like that before. It was so humiliating.
But she did not leave. She steeled herself and replied, "You want to know why I am worried about your presence? Fine. Let tell you. I am dating Leon. I know how Leon chased you for so many years. So, why are you here on Leon’s birthday? You want to take Leon away from , right?
"You had already taken Vernon away from . Now you won’t even let have Leon? Why are you so shaless and ruthless? Are you so jealous of that you can’t see being happy for once? I hate you, Helena. I hate you the most."
"Huh? What? You are dating Leon now?" Even though Helena was stunned by Faye’s outburst, she grasped the main point from her words and asked.
"Yes." Faye nodded seriously.
"Woah! I an... Wow!!!! That’s amazing. That is the best news I have heard in a long ti. Thank you, Faye."
