Helena and Vernon frowned and looked at Minister Morris and then at rlin.
They wondered how these two n knew each other. One was a politician while the other looked like a scholar, even though they really did not know what he actually did for a living.
rlin tilted his head to the side, thinking if he had t Minister Morris before.
Vernon looked at his action and then looked at Helena. He sohow felt a sense of déjà vu when he saw his action. It was similar to the one Helena always does when she looks confused.
He senses there were a few similarities to both their features as well. The light frown they had was totally similar to each other.
Vernon blinked his eyes. He was stunned at what he was seeing. Except for Helena’s mother, he had never seen another person bearing such similarities to Helena before.
"rlin Presley? Are you Mr. Presley?" Minister Morris asked.
Helena and Vernon blinked their eyes and looked at rlin. They did not know rlin’s last na. So they had no idea if Minister Morris’s doubt was true or not.
"Yes." rlin nodded calmly.
"No wonder I thought you looked familiar. I had seen you from afar before. We never really t each other before today. Very nice to et you, Mr Presley," Minister Morris turned a bit talkative, facing rlin, showing his business side.
"Oh. Nice eting you, Minister Morris," rlin did not feel as excited as the Minister, but he greeted the older man back because he was introduced to him by Helena.
"rlin Presley? Is that your full na?" Helena asked from the side.
rlin smiled at her and nodded, "Yes."
His expression facing the others and Helena was so different.
Minister Morris observed this as well. He looked at Helena and doubted what the relationship between the two was. To say they know each other well, they did not even know each other’s nas until now.
But to say that they were strangers, rlin’s earlier actions and the present interactions between the two did not look like strangers either.
"Vernon, right? Can I talk to you for a second?" rlin looked at Vernon and asked.
Clearly he had sothing to talk to him in private, and he wanted to excuse himself from Minister Morris. There is nothing he wanted to talk to Vernon about behind Helena after all.
Minister Morris understood this as well and gave a nod. He turned to look at Helena, "Helena, one second."
Looking at his secretive beckoning, Helena wanted to laugh, but she had to respect him and stopped herself. She nodded, and they both took a few steps away from the n.
"Our earlier conversation..." Minister Morris felt embarrassed to bring that topic up again, but since he wanted to solve the matter, he had to finish it to the end.
Helena thought for a second about what they talked about earlier and recalled it. "Oh, yeah. Don’t worry, Minister Morris. Let’s call it even. Anyway, I ended it as soon as I talked to Professor Jones earlier."
Now that they were talking in the open, she openly accepted that she was complaining about him to his wife.
Minister Morris did not care about that anymore. He nodded and said, "Good good. Anyway, if you need any help regarding that matter, you can co to . Understand?"
Helena blinked her eyes. After a few seconds of observing his expression, she understood what he ant.
Since he disturbed her eting with the Commissioner, he wanted to compensate by helping with that matter.
Helena smiled, "Thank you, Minister Morris."
Minister Morris nodded and left.
Helena turned around and went back to rlin and Vernon, "What are you guys talking about?"
rlin smiled at her and replied, "Nothing. I was just thanking him for making the call."
Helena understood imdiately and nodded, "Oh. Yeah, did you solve the matter completely? Is everything fine now?"
rlin nodded, "Yes, thank you for asking. I am grateful to Vernon for that call. If not for that, I wouldn’t have known there was a man in my company who wanted to harm ."
Vernon and Helena looked at him in shock. They had a few minute guesses about what might have happened but hearing directly from rlin was still very shocking.
"Helena, Vernon," they heard Vincent’s voice and everyone turned around to see him coming towards them with a man and Jemma along.
"Brother Vincent," Helena looked at him and then looked at the man beside him.
"Seventh Prince, this is Vernon. My younger brother and this is Helena, his wife," Vincent introduced them to the man before looking at them, "Greet Seventh Prince."
"Seventh Prince."
"Seventh Prince."
The couple smiled politely and bowed slightly while greeting him. It was the tradition in the Prince’s country and they had already learned it before the event when they heard that he would be attending.
[I don’t understand their culture at all. How could using the person’s na be considered disrespect? If not for that, why would a person be nad in the first place?] Helena thought to herself as she had to address the man ’Seventh Prince’ instead of using his na.
No one could use his na under any circumstances or it would be deed as a great disrespect to their royal family and they would be punished.
So everyone just calls him ’the Seventh Prince’ according to his hierarchy in the family.
Vernon was the only one who could hear her thoughts and his lips twitched lightly. He wanted to laugh but he knew that he shouldn’t.
"Mr rlin? I didn’t know you were coming. I am sorry for not greeting you earlier," Vincent saw rlin and greeted him with a handshake.
rlin gave a polite smile, "Yeah, don’t worry about that. Helena and Vernon greeted well. I hope I did not disrupt your party with my attendance. It is just that they invited and I couldn’t reject them."
