"Zyrran's down!" Alex called out, his breathing heavy.
"About ti," Alphox growled, still locked in battle with the remaining dragons.
Kaelthor and Vorrak were relentless, their combined attacks forcing Alphox to stay on the defensive.
Alex wanted to help him distract the two dragons better, but he couldn't summon his undead since they were in the sky.
Except for maybe...
"!!!" Alex's eyes widened as he had a sudden idea, "Rise my undead!"
[ 80 Skeletons, 13 Grand Skeletons, 4 Bony Knights, 3 Spectral Wraiths]
All undead appeared normally, though hundreds of ters under the draconic battle that was happening.
but this wasn't what he sought, instead, he only wanted three of them...
"Spectral Wraiths," he called out, "Co up!"
These things could fly in comparison to the others, so they definitely could co up here.
And they did!
"Distract those bastards!" he shouted his order, and the wraiths nodded.
The wraiths darted around Vorrak, slashing at his molten body.
Though their damage was minor, they managed to keep the dragon off balance.
"Annoying pests!" Vorrak roared, swiping at the wraiths with his massive claws, though it only hit one, the other two avoiding it.
Kaelthor, anwhile, launched another Fla Cyclone, the fiery vortex closing in on Alphox.
"I'm getting tired of this," Alphox growled, his wings surging with shadowy energy.
With a powerful beat, he shot upward, narrowly avoiding the flas.
"Human, any ti now!" Alphox barked.
"On it!" Alex replied, summoning another [Arc of Divinity].

Kaelthor and Vorrak roared in agony their fiery forms flickering as the holy energy damaged them heavily.
Alphox seized the opportunity, diving toward Kaelthor with claws glowing with dark energy.
Abyssal Dive!

Alphox's dive struck Kaelthor with devastating force, the resulting shockwave rippling across the battlefield.

Kaelthor's body crumbled, his molten form cooling rapidly as he fell lifeless to the ground after receiving continuous damage from Alex along with the initial [Demonic Spear].
"That's two," Alphox growled, his eyes narrowing as he turned toward Vorrak.
The molten dragon snarled, molten energy gathering in his maw. "You'll regret underestimating ," Vorrak hissed, his voice dripping with malice.
Alex didn't wait for Alphox's cue.
Raising his staff, he channeled his growing mana into another [Demonic Spear].
Fwish! Boom!
[Weakness hit, dealing 300% of damage.]

Vorrak roared in defiance, his body glowing brighter as he prepared to unleash his ultimate attack.
"This is it," Alphox growled, his wings spreading wide.
Summoning the last of his strength, he surged toward Vorrak, his claws glowing with dark energy.
Alex supported him with a volley of Blood Blades, the crimson swords striking Vorrak in tandem with Alphox's assault.

But it was too late: Vorrak was done charging up his skill.

As the searing beam erupted from Vorrak's maw, it surged toward Alphox and Alex with unstoppable force.
"HUMAN, DEAL WITH THAT BASTARD!" Alphox bellowed, knowing they wouldn't survive if both of them were hit.
"How?!" Alex shouted back, panic in his voice.
"HERE!" Without hesitation, Alphox coiled his massive tail around Alex and hurled him through the air, aiming for Vorrak's exposed back.
"!!!" Mid-flight, Alex's instincts kicked in, and he quickly grasped Alphox's intent.
His eyes narrowed with steely determination.
He landed on Vorrak's molten back with a jarring thud.
The intense heat scorched through his armor, searing his skin beneath.
Gritting his teeth, Alex ignored the pain and unsheathed his dagger, its blade shimring with a dark, nacing glow.
"BLEEDING STRIKE!" he roared, driving the weapon into Vorrak's fiery scales.
The dagger bit deep, again and again, leaving gashes that oozed molten blood.
Each strike unleashed bursts of energy, inflicting damage.

Vorrak howled in rage, thrashing violently to dislodge Alex.
"GET OFF , YOU INSECT!" the dragon bellowed, twisting and diving in a desperate attempt to shake him free.
"NOT UNTIL YOU'RE DONE FOR!" Alex snarled, holding on for dear life.
Every second was agony as the blistering heat sapped his health, but he pressed forward, his strikes relentless.

With one final, desperate blow, Alex plunged the dagger deep into a critical point.

Vorrak's massive fra convulsed as his wings faltered, his once-mighty roar fading into a gurgling gasp.

The molten dragon plumted from the sky, crashing into the earth with a thunderous impact. Lifeless.
Alex, who jumped from the dragon's back before it fell, turned his gaze to Alphox, but his triumph was short-lived.
His heart sank as he saw Alphox's right wing mangled, a massive, smoking hole left by the lava beam.
"Damn it!" Alex cursed as he looked down.
From this height, with nothing to break his fall, death seed inevitable.
Alex plumted towards the unforgiving depths of the Canyon of Death. The ground rushed up to et him, the canyon walls blurring into a chaotic ss.
Alphox wouldn't be able to save him since his wing was pierced, possibly falling to his own death.
aning that Alex would need to find a way not only to save himself but also the dragon.
The reason he cared about dying was because in comparison to being killed by monsters far above his level, dying from a fall was considered weak enough to receive a penalty from the ga.
And also he didn't feel like allowing Alphox to die, not yet.
"Undead King," he called, as it was the last thing he could think of before death, "Undead Call!"
[Undead Call activated!]
The Undead King materialized in the air above Alex, his skeletal fra cloaked in dark, crackling energy.
His hollow eyes glowed faintly, annoyance clear in his voice.
"Save and the primordial dragon right there," he pointed at Alphox, "Quick!"
"Saving a human? How low I've sunk," he muttered, rolling his head in mock exasperation. "Fine. But don't bother after this."
With a snap of his bony fingers, the King unleashed his power.
Fwish!
Hundreds of skeletal arms burst from the canyon floor, stretching skyward.
They caught Alex mid-fall, their icy grip halting his deadly montum.
At the sa ti, more arms reached out for Alphox, holding the dragon as carefully as they could.
The hands slowly lowered both of them to the ground. And once they were safe, the arms lted back into the earth, leaving only silence.
"Damn..." Alex sighed, breathing heavily, "This is probably more intense than fighting those gods..."
He was probably saying that simply since it was his first battle in the air, but regardless it was still intense.
Not far from them, Alex noticed the bodies of the three dragons they had killed lying there, lifeless.
Each of them had an [Extraction] prompt to give since they were considered boss monsters.
But first, Alex slowly advanced toward Alphox.
"..."
"Damn bastards," the Primordial Dragon roared, "But at least we took care of them."

Seems like fighting with him made him respect Alex even more.
"I leveled up, human, but I'll check everything out later, I'll be resting..." he said before seeping back into the [Shadow Pet Space].
And with that done, Alex was the only one around the canyon.
He turned his head toward the other dragons, then smiled.
"Ti to see what I'm gonna get..."
