Kaiser stayed still for a few seconds before his massive body finally lost balance and fell to the ground, lifeless.

His mouth remained open, the jagged teeth glinting faintly in the dark, but the hunger behind them was gone.

The devouring had stopped. No spirit, no power, nothing left to take.

The fight was truly over.

Since [Bloodline Bosses] were unique in [Eternal Soul], death was the end for them.

They didn’t respawn, didn’t reappear. Once they were gone, they were gone for good.

And now, Kaiser was truly dead.

As his corpse crashed to the cracked stone floor, a heavy shockwave burst outward.

The impact sent waves of air through the misted clearing, shaking the ruins around them.

A heartbeat later, all of the [Blood Mist] that had covered the entire zone vanished.

It was gone in an instant.

The crimson haze that had filled every corner, every crack, every breath of this place — wiped away as if it had never existed.

aning, of course, that Kaiser had been the one maintaining it all along.

And not just that.

The whispers, the eerie, quiet murmurs of ancient gods that had echoed faintly through the fog, disappeared too.

The mont Kaiser’s life ended, so did every trace of the presence he had summoned.

Silence filled the area.

Stark glanced around. The emptiness of the zone made the victory feel heavier sohow.

He didn’t receive any experience from killing Kaiser, which honestly annoyed him.

A boss like that? The experience points would have been massive.

But still...

Ding!

---

[You have gained 30 Evolution Points!]

[You have gained 3,500 Lives!]

Hand of Avarice!

[You have gained 29 Evolution Points!]

[You have gained 3,250 Lives!]

---

The notifications stacked up one after another, the white text flashing across his vision.

No items dropped when Kaiser fell, but after using [Hand of Avarice], sothing shimred faintly beside the corpse.

’Nice,’ Stark thought, eyes narrowing in anticipation as he stepped closer.

But before he could take another step, more notifications appeared.

Ding!

[Global Announcent: Congratulations to player "Oblivion" for being the first player to defeat a bloodline boss.]

[You have gained 25 Prestige Points!]

’Damn,’ Stark sighed.

Another global announcent.

Another mont where every single player in the ga saw his na flash across their screens.

The reaction was predictable, surprise at first, then the usual disbelief, then acceptance.

By now, everyone knew "Oblivion."

They were used to it. Used to seeing his na at the top.

Used to him doing things that no one else even tried to attempt.

And the funniest part? His reputation wasn’t even bad.

He didn’t kill for fun. He killed those who hunted other players.

He sold high-tier gear instead of hoarding it.

Even those who wanted to hate him couldn’t find a reason beyond "he’s too strong."

Still, Stark didn’t care much for fa.

He ignored the flashing announcent and focused on the panels that actually mattered.

Ding!

---

[You have completed your Tier-3 Advancent Task: Clear the "Blood Mist" zone by defeating its boss, "Kaiser, The Spirit Devourer."]

[Rating: SSS]

---

’Heh,’ Stark smirked.

He hadn’t completely dominated the fight like he expected, but a win was a win.

And an SSS rating ant the system agreed. Maybe it counted the difficulty.

Maybe it just recognized that he managed to do sothing few could.

Either way, it was enough.

Ding!

[Your level has been unlocked and you may now gain experience points.]

[Level: 50 (0 / 700,000)]

’Nice.’

The experience curve was getting ridiculous.

Seven hundred thousand points just for one level.

But Stark was used to it. Grinding was part of the ga.

Numbers didn’t scare him. And there was sothing else.

Ding!

[You have fulfilled the condition for your "Class Advancent."]

"Here we go," Stark grinned.

"Guess I’ll check this out before anything else."

The next panels would show the reward from Kaiser, sothing entirely new, but before that, checking his class felt more fitting.

After all, this was the mont he’d been working toward.

Ding!

[Your "Mage of Oblivion" class has evolved!]

[Tier: 2 → 3]

He opened the new class panel imdiately.

---

[Mage of Oblivion (Unique Hidden Class)]

[Tier: 3]

[Class Passive #1: All your magic damage is multiplied by 20 → 25.]

[Class Passive #2: Your MP recovery is multiplied by 20 → 25.]

[Class Passive #3: All your spells’ cooldowns are reduced by half.]

[Class Passive #4 (New): Your magic cannot be silenced or disrupted by anything, no matter what.]

---

’Damn.’

That last passive wasn’t flashy, but it was powerful in its own way.

Stark knew how often battles turned because a mage’s spell got interrupted.

When focus broke, when pain hit, when an enemy’s skill disrupted concentration, casting beca impossible.

He’d experienced it many tis before.

It was one of the most frustrating things for any mage.

But now? That weakness was gone.

Even if he was surrounded. Even if monsters tore through him from every direction.

Even if he was bleeding, burning or blinded, his magic would still fire.

His spells would never stop.

It wasn’t the kind of passive that scread strength, but in the right fight, it was ga-changing.

And with that, he was stronger.

His damage had gone up, his mana recovery too, even if the second one didn’t matter much right now.

Every improvent counted. He closed the panel, the faint smirk still on his lips.

Also, the advancent fully healed him, removing the [Strong Bleeding] effect. He was back to full strength.

Now there was just one thing left to do, check the item Kaiser had dropped.

Stark crouched beside the corpse. Sothing long and sleek glimred faintly in the fading light.

When he picked it up and inspected it, his eyes widened slightly.

’No way.’

---

[Blood Staff (Mythical): 2,700 Spirit. Requirent: Level 50.]

[Blood Resistance (Passive): Prevents your skin from bleeding via "Status Effects."]

---

’Damn.’

The passive would’ve been a lifesaver earlier in the fight, but it was still an incredible bonus to have now.

More importantly, the spirit stat boost was massive.

’ 2,700 Spirit.’

That kind of power increase wasn’t common, not even close.

It pushed his damage far beyond his old numbers.

At first, Stark thought he’d have trouble choosing between this new staff and his [Divine Staff].

The divine one had a solid 20% damage increase, hard to give up.

But with that much spirit added directly, the choice was obvious.

And later, when he could use [Heart of Sanctuary], the weapon would grow even stronger.

"Thanks for everything," Stark said quietly to the [Divine Staff] before storing it in his inventory.

"I’ll find you a new owner."

Grace wouldn’t need it.

She didn’t rely on raw attack damage, and this kind of weapon would be wasted on her.

Soone else could make better use of it.

He didn’t think too hard about it though.

There’d be ti for that later.

The mont he equipped the [Blood Staff], the difference was imdiate.

Power coursed through him like electricity, a pulse of crimson light flashing briefly at his fingertips.

[Spirit: 363 ( 5,206)]

’Damn,’ he muttered again, impressed.

He’d lost 10 Spirit during the fight, devoured by Kaiser, but that loss was nothing now.

He’d gained far more in return. And he wasn’t done yet.

Taking a deep breath, Stark finally opened the last panel floating before him.

Kaiser’s corpse still lay on the ground, unmoving.

Unlike normal bosses, it wouldn’t disappear.

Bloodline bosses were permanent once slain. Their remains stayed as proof.

Ding!

[You have defeated "Kaiser, The Spirit Devourer."]

[Congratulations, you have obtained the "Spirit Devourer" (SSS) Bloodline!]

Stark’s eyes flicked across the text.

Much like talents, bloodlines were ranked, from B all the way up to SSS.

None went below B since even the weakest one offered imnse power.

But an SSS-rank bloodline? That was unheard of.

Even in his past life, he could count on one hand the number of players who had obtained one.

Maybe three or four total. And now, he had one himself.

’Nice,’ Stark thought with a grin, scrolling through the rest.

[Do you wish to inherit this bloodline?]

Was there even a point to asking? Without hesitation, he confird.

The mont he did, the energy within Kaiser’s body surged.

Streams of faint red light flowed into Stark, wrapping around him like threads of mist.

The power of the bloodline seeped into his veins, burning for a mont before settling deep inside.

A new strength took root. And as it did, Stark’s smile widened.

The Spirit Devourer was dead, but its power now belonged to him.
