Awakening: Mage of Oblivion with SSS-Level Infinite Evolution Talent Chapter 120: Using The Mist Repellant Ring and Elemental Spe
[Mist Repellant Ring (Mythical): When wearing this ring, will allow the user to see perfectly fine inside the "Land of Mist". Requirent: Level 50]
---
Stark imdiately wore the ring on his left hand, next to the [Fla Ring (Rare)] and [Small Space Ring (Rare)].
Both were pretty much useless now, but he still kept them on since he didn’t have anything better.
A player could equip up to five rings, so even with the new one, he still had two free slots for later.
Rings were usually considered weaker than other equipnt pieces, which was the reason [Eternal Soul] allowed more of them to be worn.
And as for why players couldn’t just wear ten rings since they had ten fingers?
Well... nobody really knew. It was just how [Eternal Soul] worked.
The sa logic applied to hats and necklaces.
Even if soone tried to put on a sixth ring, a transparent barrier would block it completely, making it impossible.
[Eternal Soul] didn’t joke around when it ca to rules.
The mont Stark slid the [Mist Repellant Ring] onto his finger, his surroundings changed.
Fwish!
The mist that had always covered the [Land of Mist] vanished from his sight.
His entire field of vision cleared in an instant.
’Damn... it feels weird.’
He could now see everything, the flat wasteland stretching out before him, the broken rocks, the dead earth.
Sohow, the place looked even more lifeless without the fog covering it.
A few monsters wandered in the distance, but he didn’t pay them any attention.
He moved on to what truly interested him next.
[Skill Book: Elental Spears (Legendary): Mage-type skill book. Requirent: Level 50.]
He poured his mana into the book without hesitation.
Ding!
[You have learned the skill "Elental Spears"!]
’Nice.’
He opened his skill window imdiately to check the new ability’s details.
---
[Elental Spears (Legendary): Can summon up to 5 spears from different elents, each one capable of dealing 1,500% of Spirit. 10 (5)-seconds cooldown between each spear.]
[Available Elents: Mist, Earth...]
---
"Oh?"
It was exactly what he’d hoped for, strong, efficient, and clearly high-tier.
Right now, he only had two elents: [Mist] and [Earth].
Coincidentally, those were the sa ones the [Guardian of Mist] had used earlier.
Skills like this usually ca from sowhere specific, so it made sense.
The damage output was also incredible.
For a legendary skill, 1,500% of Spirit was monstrous.
As for the cooldown, it wasn’t global, it applied to each individual spear.
aning when he summoned a spear from one elent and threw it, that specific spear would have to wait 5 seconds before being used again.
If he summoned all five spears at once, it would take 25 seconds for them all to recharge.
It was a slightly different rhythm compared to his other spells, but he didn’t mind.
It actually gave him more tactical control.
But then sothing else ca to mind: he could evolve this skill once as he had enough EP!
Fwish!
[Do you wish to consu 50 Evolution Points to evolve "Elental Spears"?]
"Yes."
Ding!
[You have evolved "Elental Spears" (Legendary) to "Elental Spears" (Mythical).]
[Current Evolution Points: 27.]
---
[Elental Spears (Mythical): Can summon up to 5 spears from different elents, each one capable of dealing 1,500% → 2,000% of Spirit. 10 (5)-seconds cooldown between each spear.]
[Available Elents: Mist, Earth, Fire, Water...]
---
The new stats made him grin.
The power increased from 1,500% to 2,000%, a massive jump.
But the biggest part wasn’t even that.
Two new elents had appeared: [Fire] and [Water].
It didn’t seem like they gave any additional passive bonuses yet, but that didn’t matter.
The raw potential of this skill was ridiculous.
’If I can get all elents unlocked soday...’
He smirked. That would an almost every enemy he faced would have a weakness he could exploit.
After all, elental weaknesses increased damage by 1.5x, and now he had four elents already.
It was a perfect setup for flexibility in battle.
When he was done reading through the panels, Stark dismissed them all and turned toward the endless plain.
’I need to find the [Blood Mist] zone now,’ he thought, tightening his grip on his staff.
The ring made everything easier to see, but that didn’t an the search would be fast.
The players who’d co this far in his past life had barely made it out alive, and none had ever shared how to find the zone.
Still, Stark had an advantage they didn’t: experience.
He started running across the wasteland, moving at full speed, eyes scanning the horizon for anything unusual.
Monsters appeared along the way, but he ignored every one of them.
Even when a few tried to chase, they gave up quickly.
Stark was too fast and too focused to waste ti.
He passed several strange ruins, and even a few minor zones.
Zones within the [Land of Mist] were rare to begin with, he’d only seen two so far, including the [Mist Cave].
Ti passed.
And thirty minutes later, he began thinking about changing his approach.
Maybe he’d missed sothing. But then, sothing caught his eye.
A faint red glow in the distance.
"Huh."
At first, he thought it was just another illusion caused by the light.
But then he looked closer.
It wasn’t light, it was mist. Red mist.
’Wait... what?’
The [Mist Repellant Ring] was supposed to completely clear any mist from the [Land of Mist].
That ant... This wasn’t part of the sa mist.
It was coming from sowhere else. That realization made Stark narrow his eyes.
If this mist wasn’t from the [Land of Mist], then it could only be from one place. The [Blood Mist].
And judging by the density of the red fog, he was close.
It was deep, deep in the [Major Zone], where barely anyone had dared to go.
Stark realized he had been running at full speed for more than thirty minutes straight, which explained why he had made it this far.
He couldn’t help but wonder how any of the past players had even reached this place.
Did they just really explore this much? Or perhaps they got lost until getting there.
Still, he needed to confirm. With a focused expression, Stark dashed forward.
The closer he got, the denser the red mist beca.
It wasn’t just mist anymore, it was heavy, pressing down on him like weight.
And then sothing strange happened. The monsters disappeared.
He looked around, realizing that not a single creature was within sight.
It was as if everything living had chosen to avoid this place entirely.
Even Stark could feel it, the air around him felt suffocating.
A wave of pressure lood from beyond the red veil.
He exhaled slowly and stepped closer.
And then—
Ding!
[You are about to enter an extrely dangerous level 50 zone: "Blood Mist"]
[Once you enter, you cannot leave unless you die.]
Stark grinned.
’So this is it... the hardest zone in the [Land of Mist].’
He knew what was waiting for him inside. But that didn’t stop him.
Even if it was dangerous, even if no one else had ever cleared it, Stark wasn’t afraid.
If anything, he felt alive.
He took a single step forward, crossing the invisible boundary that usually separated the gray from the crimson.
The red fog swirled around him instantly, twisting like a living thing.
And as the light dimd, Stark’s grin widened.
’Let’s see what you’ve got.’
And then—
He vanished into the [Blood Mist].
