Static imdiately spiked in my senses, originating from multiple points of the monster. Regardless of how well I’d tried to account for the damage Racheal had done, at the end of the day my imagination wasn’t perfect.

Worse still, the static coming from the corpse was chaotic and overlapping at many points, rendering the entire thing murky and obscure in my senses. The noise was already giving a growing headache.

’Is it because it’s from a D rank?’

Still, I gritted my teeth and focused, looking and searching through the haze for where the worst of it was coming from.

’There.’

Just barely, I sensed it.

It didn’t co from a single spot, instead it ca from two. Calling them spots wasn’t very accurate either, instead they were more like lines.

An imaginary line covering the approximate area where the monster’s limbs connected to its body. One on each side.

I squeezed my shaking brows.

’Its shoulders?’

The mont I reached that conclusion, I deactivated [Error Sense], ending the growing migraine, before promptly puking in the pool of blood.

"Urgh..."

I took deep breaths, shakily wiping my mouth with one hand, while I rested the other on the corpse for support.

I looked up to find Song had already taken several steps back, holding a disgusted look on her face. Maki and Lily maintained their positions, looking with varying degrees of concern.

On the other hand, Racheal remained completely indifferent. If anything, a glint of curiosity appeared in her eyes.

"Are you sick?"

I shook my head lightly, before carefully pushing myself off the corpse and out of the pool. I steadied myself against the wall before replying.

"Not really, it just tends to happen when I overexert myself."

I could feel my hand trembling against the wall, as I used it to push myself up.

’I didn’t think it’d be this bad.’

Although I was well aware of the toll overusing [Error Sense] could cause, this was the first ti I was using it today.

I didn’t feel particularly hollow either, so this couldn’t be essence exhaustion. It was all my burden.

’Is it due to rank difference?’

Even sensing for errors had been much harder than usual. While Racheal’s mutilation could plausibly explain that, it couldn’t explain how sick I felt at the mont.

’Perhaps I should’ve waited a bit longer before attempting this.’

After all, I’d just run all the way from the middle block to get here. The stress from that only compounded to make things worse.

Using the walls as support once again, I pushed through my growing nausea as I moved towards one of the barely usable pieces of furniture in the room.

By the ti I sat down, Song seed to have recovered from her state of revulsion. Well, mostly. She still occasionally sent looks of utter disgust at the corpse, and the pile of vomit next to it.

She shifted her gaze to , her green eyes carrying a sentint dangerously close to pity. Blindsiding my expectations of her, she didn’t imdiately start poking fun at my burden.

"Did you find anything?"

She simply pretended it never happened.

’Coming from soone like her, that’s probably a good thing.’

I sighed before replying.

"The shoulders, that’s the most I could get out of it."

I had visualized an unstoppable being as perfection, one that would be extrely difficult to cripple regardless of whether you blew off so limbs or parts of it.

If the shoulders were what was highlighted, it ant taking out its shoulders was the best way to cripple the beast.

What’s more, the error appeared as a line. aning all three arms on one side were linked together. So a properly placed shot, powerful enough to destroy that area, would be enough to take out three arms. At once.

That would definitely ground any Beast. Taking away its mobility was an absolute death sentence to a monster like the predator.

I explained my line of thought to the girls.

Maki muttered in contemplation the mont I was done.

"This is huge..."

Song joined in.

"Almost enough to change this plan from a nigh suicide mission into an actually plausible attempt."

Maki gave her a side-eye.

"Aren’t you a seer? Why didn’t you see this coming?"

Luckily, she was quick on her feet and just shrugged.

"Seers can’t know everything."

I smiled before sending her a ssage.

[See? you’re fitting into your new role just fine.]

She shot a deathly glare, not even bothering to reply to the ssage before turning to face the rest of the girls.

She gave the monster one last side glance before speaking,

"We should be heading back now. The peasant’s done his thing, we’ve found the weakness, right? Why exactly are we still torturing ourselves with this god-awful stench?"

I nodded, before pushing myself off my seat

"Fair point."

I stumbled the mont I stood, still feeling nauseous from earlier. Maki shot a look of concern.

"Do you need any support?"

I shook my head in response, relying on the walls once again for support.

"I can manage."

Song just gave an unimpressed look, and not long after, a ssage popped up before .

[You trying to look cool or what?]

It was my turn to send her a deathly glare too. She didn’t seem even slightly fazed though, as another popped up.

[I can support you, but it’s going to cost you a favor.]

[Do keep your help to yourself, thank you very much.]

Song just shrugged before stepping out of the room, Maki soon followed. Lily shot a look, to which I just replied with a thumbs up, prompting the girl to walk out as well.

Racheal however, remained where she stood, staring at intensely. The twin abysses that were her eyes reminded that the girl before had killed a Beast alone.

I suddenly had a deep urge to start cursing Song.

’Bloody traitor... how could she abandon with Racheal?’

Instead, I took in a deep breath before speaking as elegantly as I could.

"Lady Racheal, is there a problem?"

The girl blinked once,

"Hm... It’s nothing. But do your eyes always do that when you use your powers?"

I only grew more confused at her question.

"Do what? I’m not sure I understand your question."

"Glitch, they were glitching.
