Just as they were about to finish watching the entire report, the power suddenly went out, plunging the room into darkness. Only the occasional flashes of lightning outside provided brief illumination.

"Gwandma, Little Mia is scawed!" Little Mia cried, her small hands gripping Little Koby’s tightly as the room grew dark around them.

In an instant, Grandma Ford wrapped her arms around Little Mia, offering warmth and comfort as she tried to soothe both children and keep them calm.

"Block the balcony door, and let’s turn on our ergency generator," Elena instructed, her voice steady as she glanced at the lightning outside.

Oslo pulled the blackout curtain closed as Xander turned on the ergency generator in the other room, restoring electricity inside.

Once the electricity was restored, everyone busied themselves with their tasks. However, Elena’s mind was focused on the situation in the building.

"Any updates on the building situation?" Elena asked.

Oslo quickly grabbed his phone to check for a ssage from the manager. Seeing that the group chat was buzzing with activity and that the manager had pinned a post, he imdiately responded.

"Sister-in-law, the manager just sent a ssage in the GC!"

"GC?" Grandpa Caldwell inquired, a look of confusion on his face.

"It’s a group chat, Grandpa," Elena explained.

"Do we have a group chat? If so, can you add us?"

"’Yes, just a mont," Oslo replied as he added them to the Building C group chat.

"What did he say?" Ethan asked.

Oslo then read the manager’s ssage aloud.

"The recent earthquake and the typhoon have depleted our gasoline supplies, so the committee has decided to run the generator only every four hours to conserve fuel and prevent overloading it. Thank you."

"That’s it? Any updates on the water level now?"

"Nope, the water probably hasn’t reached the lobby yet."

Elena then read the chat ssages. Frustration simred in the group chat as everyone expressed their anger. The manager had failed to announce the decision in advance and acted without prior notice, leaving the group feeling blindsided.

ssages flooded in, filled with curses and accusations.

Unit 2201: "Manager, what’s this all about? You didn’t inform us about the electricity situation, and now we have no way to cook our food."

Unit 1402: "Every four hours? That seems too long. Can’t we just pay more to buy gasoline?"

Unit 1501: "@1402, do you not read the manager’s post? We can’t run the generator for twenty-four hours."

Unit 1201: "F*ck, I haven’t charged my phone and laptop yet. Manager, please turn on the generator for now, okay?"

Unit 1302: "Bullsh*t... You made this decision on your own. Hey, manager, you must have forgotten that we hired you to represent us, not to oppress us."

Everyone voiced their concerns in the group chat, but the manager simply did not read or respond to anyone.

Elena conveyed the ssages to them, urging everyone to be vigilant, as things might turn bad once night fell.

"If there’s a power outage now, the next thing we can expect is a water shortage. If people soon realize that this typhoon is unlike any they’ve experienced before and that the governnt won’t be able to respond effectively, they might resort to desperate asures, as there will be no one to stop them," Ethan added.

Everyone nodded in acknowledgent; they knew they had to remain vigilant.

Elena was about to suggest having dinner and tackling the situation later when she heard a DING [Ergency] sound in her mind.

She recognized it was Ramon, so she excused herself for a mont. She then entered the space and pulled Ramon and his family to her location.

Seeing them appear out of nowhere, Angela and little Koby were frightened, as Xander had never ntioned the space to them.

Elena then marked them with a Plow-shape, granting access to the Western Fertile Soil sector to help Grandpa Caldwell take care of the animals.

"Oslo and Xander will give you a tour of Paradise later, so you can learn about your duties and the rules at the sa ti, okay?" Elena inford them.

"Yes, Miss Elena," Jessa said excitedly.

The mont she saw the space a while ago, she felt refreshed and grateful that her husband had found a good employer. She vowed to always listen to them.

Andrei, Angela, and little Koby were also excited; they couldn’t wait to explore the space.

Afterwards, they quickly set the table, eager to dig in. They enjoyed a delightful dinner of barbecue and spicy chicken soup, which made them sweat profusely.

"It’s delicious, Granwma! Your cooking is so good," little Mia exclaid, taking a big bite of the chicken barbecue.

’Too bad for Poochi and Mimi, being left behind’

"Eh, little Mia, it wasn’t Grandma who cooked the food today. It was your brother Xander."

"Oh, thank you bwother Xander for the food!"

Everyone chuckled at the little lady’s antics. By 8 PM, they had finished their al and gathered in the living room to discuss their plans for guarding their floor throughout the night.

In City D, Jack Heather was in a foul mood because his granddaughter Trixie was missing. He had been busy all day, and when he got ho tonight, he learned from others that she had gone to City A with her cousin Troy.

"I told you to monitor her! It was a simple task, and you couldn’t even manage that. Now that the typhoon is so strong, bringing her back will be incredibly difficult."

"Sir, she put sleeping pills in our water. By the ti we woke up, she was already gone."

"Don’t give those excuses! Stupid! Idiot! Call Troy and tell him to take cover for a while. This typhoon is going to be severe, and once it eases up, we’ll bring Trixie back."

Jack yelled loudly, throwing things around his room in frustration as he pondered how his sensible granddaughter had beco so reckless.

anwhile, at the Blackshear Hotel in City A, four hours had passed since the Heather family arrived. The Smith family was expressing their gratitude to Trixie for bringing Vivian back to them.

Well, upon learning that Troy would be leaving for City B to lead the gang and then proceed to City A as delegates of the Military District of City D, Trixie devised a sche and decided to leave the boring bunker in City D with him. She threatened him, insisting that he allow her to join the mission.

With no other choice, Troy agreed. They traveled from City D to City A on a military helicopter, disguising themselves as officers from the Military District of City D.

They planned to infiltrate the military in City A under the pretence of cooperation between City A and City D in response to the disaster. They intended to use their ’insight’ abilities to gain their trust.

Troy briefly stopped in City B to assess the gang’s situation. There, he noticed that the bunker was damaged and left so of his n to repair it.

The Iron Gang boss inford him that an ugly woman might be responsible for all of this. Troy simply raised his brow, realizing that without any clues, this case would likely be buried. Searching for a woman with no leads at all would be a waste of ti.

The Iron Gang boss then requested that they bring his cousin Marc along with his friends to City A. Troy hesitated for a mont, but when Marc ntioned that he might know the woman they were looking for, Troy beca intrigued.

Upon learning that the bunker in City B had been attacked by a woman, Marc began to ponder who was responsible.

They encountered Elena in City B, who tried to kill them but failed. Even if it wasn’t her, he would still pin the bla on her.

He then told Troy that if they allowed him to ride the helicopter to City A, he would share what he knew. Troy agreed, and they traveled to City A.

After arriving at the Blackshear Hotel, they first rested and then t in a specific room. Troy wanted to learn the information Marc had, which had led to their current situation.

"Thank you, miss, for bringing Vivian to us," Mrs. Smith said, feeling grateful for their efforts.

However, she felt a deep sense of dissatisfaction at the presence of this woman—Nerisa, her husband’s mistress. She believed Nerisa should have been left behind and never returned to this city.

"It’s fine. Can we finish this now? I’m hungry, and I want to go back to rest," Trixie said, her voice tinged with annoyance. Although they had rested, she still felt tired from the long journey.

Troy sneered and rolled his eyes. Did they beg her to co along? She was the one who had threatened them just to join the mission.

"Just wait, I have so questions for Marc. Then we can eat dinner," Troy said, annoyed.

Trixie turned to leave, no longer bothering to ask for their opinions.

"Who’s that woman again?" Troy asked.

"It’s Elena. She was the woman you were looking for. When we were in City B, she tried to kill us because of that slut Lydia. It was probably out of retaliation since she knows that Lydia died at your hands," Vivian answered, rattling off everything in an attempt to convince him.

"Give her information. Is she alone?"

"Sure," Vivian responded, handling Elena’s information. She then added, "No, her husband is with her. That Ethan Caldwell."

Trixie was about to open the door when she heard the na Caldwell. Intrigued, she paused and imdiately interrupted Troy.

"Caldwell? You an the police chief here and his family from City D?" Trixie asked, fervor evident in her expression.

The man she had been longing for these past few days was here in City A.

"Yes, do you know them?"

"That’s none of your business. At least now you have a use for ," Trixie replied, calculating how to take advantage of this family.

Troy looked at Trixie, sensing sothing off about her deanor. The task his grandfather had given him was important, and he wanted to complete it without error, but his cousin was making it difficult.
